As for me, I agree with you. Investing in giants of the market isn't the best decision. Also I agree their financial report isn't so good. There are more interesting altcoins for investing.

I'm one of the Ethereum followers. I think that this cryptocurrency will return it's 2 place on coinmarketcap. Also in Febraury they will launch their hardfork Constantinople which has a positive effect on a whole market.

Usually the main problem is in users, they have slow secuirity. As for me, it's better to use cold wallet for your main investments. Also I trust wallets in which I can control my private keys.
