What does the real value you mean? are you refer to the cost to mine Bitcoin? well that's complicated but you can calculate itself based on the mining rigs, the speed, the maintenance and how much the electricity you paid. However it's not the real value, the real value is decentralized, no censorship, and fast worldwide transaction.

During the bear market almost of altcoins wouldn't survive and then it will died, so those CEO didn't want it happen and then make decision to rug pull their own project. They can earn more because of the past investors, while the investors will suffer of losses.

Then Bitcoin is the one coin that can be survive.

Today, I put up a post to celebrate my 365 days(1 year) of being registered on this forum but then I had to delete the contents, lock, and move it to archival because a user said it was merit fishing and other stuff. Truth be told I felt terrible because I know how much of a struggle it was to stay in the forum. I was offline from January 17, 2022, to April 5th. I won't go into details because it is personal.

This incident got me thinking about the forum before the merit system was created.

Aside from merit fishing, spam, low-value, and garbage posts, what other accusations were leveled against other members of this forum?
How do you create topics that you feel matter to you without making it seem as if you are merit fishing?

I'm sure there are no countries that provide strict rules regarding cryptocurrencies, in my country cryptocurrencies are not legal yet, but the government collects taxes from transactions on some exchanges, even though it's not legal yet but I'm happy with the current condition because some local exchanges in my place have good service and Easy and fast withdrawal process.

It sounds like can fiat currency kill BTC! I ready doubts about this concept of CBDC and its potential. Most of the country in the world doesn't have the ability and resource to create and maintain their own CBDC. Allowing crypto assets and taxing them is less costly and convenient for the govt than creating CBDC. Also, I do not find many similarities between them expect their use case. So talking about killing one another is irrelevant.

Just as the most recent development I have seen in life is happening, which is where I see the cost of natural goods or foodstuffs increasing day by day, many people are still unable to generate an income to satisfy. current change. Some sources I find it amusing about what happened after the war between Russia and Ukraine. When the sanctions were in place, the countries that tried to isolate Russia were doing themselves more harm than good. while Russia, India, and China are the more unscrupulous beneficiaries. They embargo fuel and oil or gas from Russia but buy it through another form from India, and China is benefiting from the shipping deals, so the show from the top when deciding to determine whether economic sanctions bring good value or only cause inflation to increase and lead only to more suffering. If the bigotry situation from some parties is not resolved satisfactorily, food will be a major battleground.

If Africa do have a lot of oil reserves then it'll probably come from them. There were rumours of building a rail way under the sea between Gibraltar and Morocco a while ago, pipes for carrying gas would be easier to place and if the EU are serious on sanctioning Russia then it'd probably be worthwhile to sponsor those countries and provide them infrastructure.

There might also be attempts to increase the number of rigs there are for companies like bp and Shell to be able to extract more oil (the UK government has a habit of nationalising/buying things when the private sector makes them too expensive too which might be another thing that happens).

Some of your arguments are right and some needs to be corrected. for the altcoins that will not gonna survive this bearish market, I'm sure there are lots of them who will also give up their project and be replaced by another that has real road maps to follow and have real teams to do the promotions. that's why we need to be careful not to listen to those who will gonna take advantage to promote their project and they will gonna perform rug pull, that will be the worst thing to happen to you if you fell into those kinds of traps.

The ATH  was one year ago. The market participants are still preferring to wait for signs that the true bottom has been reached. The fact that Bitcoin rallied last year on anti-inflation hype, but isn't rallying now only means that the reason wasn't fundamental, it was just pure speculation and the narrative was a rationalization for a typical bull/bear cycle.

That sounds a bit like market manipulation, is that even legal? When all the big crypto players work together to force the price down it would mean they liquidate a lot of their positions now. Shouldn't we get some insider news about it? I don't think all the companies could remain quite for such a big a deal. Once the margin call is being triggered it would mean we would see strong buys in the market in an effort to close down the position. Shouldn't the price than rise again sharply? I am no expert on uncollateralised and not sure what options there are to avoid liquidation. Maybe there is a chance to restructure? Like how much further can the price drop, below 20k USD I would expect all the whales to start buying again.

A very valid remark. How many times have cryptocurrencies been buried in general, and bitcoin itself? I can say - a lot of times. Despite this, many see the results even now.

Most recently, the state of New York (in the US) passed a bill to ban Bitcoin mining due to environmental concerns. Some time ago, the EU did something similar (although it came into law) making both investors and miners largely concerned about the future of PoW cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Dogecoin. If FUD related to PoW mining damaging the environment persists (remember Elon Musk also criticizing Bitcoin?), then cryptocurrencies with PoW algorithms will be forced to switch to PoS altogether. Bitcoin will be the mostly affected since it's the biggest PoW cryptocurrency in the world. Growth for the pioneer cryptocurrency will stifle, forcing miners to close down their business for good.

Do you think countries worldwide will ban Bitcoin mining due to environmental concerns? If not, why? If mining is banned, do you think Bitcoin will switch to PoS? Will it still survive being a PoW cryptocurrency? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

We've been here before, you are just making the whales richer, selling your precious BTC for pennies (crappy fiat). The storm will pass, hodl, or try to accumulate even more BTC, it's a great time to buy for cheap. We will make it this time too. Even if BTC goes down to $15,000 nothing is forever. Remember $20,000 down to $3,000? Been through that storm too. Remember, 1 BTC = 1 BTC. To the Moon!

Bitcoin simply isn't convenient enough for every day use. Some people (including myself) could say that Bitcoin wasn't designed for every day usage(despite what Satoshi was claiming in the whitepaper). The expectation of 1 billion daily Bitcoin users will never happen in reality and there's nothing wrong with that.
Nobody is saying that Bitcoin is supposed to be the number 1 global currency. I would be perfectly fine, even if Bitcoin never becomes truly mainstream.
I don't think that anyone could verify the accuracy of this statistical data, but 30 million people seems like a pretty good number for a 12 year old technology.
BTC reaching 1 billion active users seems more like a fantasy, rather than an achievable goal.

I  wouldn't go as far as to say that all user actions are monitored today. With fiat, if you pay in cash, you can to essentially undetected (if you want to avoid face identification you can simply wear a mask which is still recommended even if not obligatory). If you are browsing the Internet, you can use VPN if you want to ensure your privacy. Also, nobody has enough resources to literally monitor every user (at least, to do so actively instead of living the job to algorithms). Bitcoin is transparent, so transactions are very traceable. Whether these lead to your real identity is largely a matter of how careful you are. As for me and privacy, I would prefer the companies to know less about me, yes, but I am also not going to go out of my way to achieve it.

I'm reasonably confident about the preservation of our privacy (for those who are determined to keep it, at least).  As a general rule, technology currently develops at a faster pace than regulators can react to it.  They'll always be a few steps behind the cutting edge.  But it does require a fairly strong will to avoid using all those services on the regulators' leash.

The main issue is the readiness of those who are willing to relinquish their privacy in exchange for convenience.  Once you hand it over, you may find it difficult to get it back.

Steps can be taken to limit the fall of bitcoin. Any of our steps will be natural steps because we make them based on our experience. The experience with the new currency/value is not great yet. But in order to gain experience, steps must be taken. New steps will entail other steps. The movement around bitcoin and crypto will increase. This will affect the rate of crypto, the acceptance of crypto and the height of the minimum level of fall.

This is one of the many reasons why Bitcoin will stay. Those altcoins know how Bitcoin is valuable and will stay. For sure some also selling their altcoins or funds just to buy Bitcoin as their reserve funds.
Now that market is bleeding, I believe that there will be a lot of altcoins that will get hammered, and most people starting to convert their altcoins to Bitcoin which for me is also a good idea, especially during bear season.

Now is really the good opportunity to buy bitcoin because the market is bearish meaning the prices are low. This indicates a good buying scenario wherein an investor can maximize his fund but the returns will take a while, particularly the enter of bullish season. During the lowest of lows of the market where the whales rejoice because they can hoard as much and sell it at higher price value when the right time comes.

This should also be the attitude of most of us if we want to succeed. Although of course, we should still take into consideration the risks of buying coins at this season because not all coins has the potential to increase in price after the bearish market ends. Research is still a must especially if you don't have much to spare.
