Even if fans fail most of the time you can open them, put a drop of oil and they are back running like new. I have had to do this numerous times already with my 3 year old R9 280x cards.

Assuming you optimize and get 200W per card with electricity costing you $0.12/kW that comes out to: 0.2kW*24h*30days*0.12c/kW = $17,28 in electricity costs for 1080Ti.

I have a similar problem with my 280X lately. Were you able to fix this?

Keep the fans clean and you should be fine.

Re: 6 x EVGA GTX 1070 SC Gaming, any sugestions?

Did you manage to build this rig? How are those EVGAs for mining?
I would like to get the 1080ti but I would then need to also upgrade my PSU which is a cost I probably cannot afford so I think im going to go for the 1070 because I can purchase it sooner and just plug it in and go. I am going to check out the AMD side like someone suggested first though.
I have a 1080ti rig and from my experience so far my 1070 rigs are better value for the money.

As of today (7.10.17) at prohashing my L3+ makes around 22$ per day. At Nicehash 19$ per day. If you know of any other pools and their current daily income, I will be interested to hear.

At this flow rate the air passing through the heat sinks of the hashing chips created the worst noise in my opinion. The best solution i have found so far is to run my L3s at room temperature around 5C.
