Any price predictions of this new coin?  I'll throw out a guess, $2.15 USD / CAL.  What do you think?

a couple weeks ago it was going for 25k sats but now people trying to OTC for 40k+ sats. a bit ridiculous but i guess might make sense if block reward decreasing from 8 to 2 soon.

What kind of licence do you have?

I can't speak to eMarketChain but I know when it comes to ecommerce and markets within markets they will need to be in strict compliance with all regulations. I've been following a project tangentially related known as FIC Network (creating a fixed income market), and they going through all the hoops to ensure they are abiding with laws so that their token is not a security but rather a utility. In fact, their ICO smart contracts are audited by Blockvis. If eMarketChain has some similar sort of auditing mechanism, that would be very appealing to me.

FIC's token will derive value from issuance, servicing, trading, and redemption of financial instruments. It is used in every aspect of the asset's lifecycle from beginning to end!

The value will be demand driven, basically. The more information stored in the network, the more activity in FIC Network, and thus the more demand for the tokens.

What ICOs are you guys looking at for the latter half of 2018?

Also which ones do you see hitting exchanges soon and doing well?

Actually I paying attention in ORBIS bounty project, i currently participate in signature campaign.
Honestly the way that I choosing an ICO is look for the team their partners and the most trusted bounty manager, that's my way to find an ICO and fortunately I haven't been encounter an scam project.

If you're looking for team and partners I think you would like FIC Network. They used to do a bounty (not anymore), but their ICO just finished (about 8k ETH reached, very small cap with huge upside imo)

Just to list a few of their partners:
BoostVC (accelerator program)
StartUp Bootcamp
Bialla Venture Partners
Ben Franklin Tech (startup funding)
WilmerHale (law)
NewBlock Capital (hedge fund)
BlockVis
MCCAIN (global ad agency)

Re: No Time Left, Time To Move Away From The Dollar
by
kajin
on 19/05/2018, 18:35:02 UTC
The US Dollar may be on the decline, but nobody can say whether it has a few months, years, or decades before it collapses. Right now, the increase in interest rates is making it attractive for global investors who are buying US bonds. The USD has appreciated in value against most global currencies over the past few months.

No one has the timeline for sure. Calls for doomsday have been made since the 2008 financial crisis. But we do see it coming miles away. and It will happen. Within the next five years, imo. One thing is for sure, it's a bigger bubble and we can't really have negative interest rates this time around to reinflate that bubble.

Will credit economy help crypto?
by
kajin
on 16/05/2018, 18:12:21 UTC
The current economic machine works through a credit basis.

Basically this,
Borrowing = more spending = more income for others = more spending

It's a feedback loop that allows for productivity growth.

But it is also dangerous because eventually the debt burden can lead to a depression.

Is this credit economy dangerous in something like cryptocurrency, where supply is fixed and the currency is deflationary in nature?

I'm very interested in projects like SALT, BlockEx, Fortuna, FIC Network, etc which aim to create secondary markets within the crypto landscape. What do you think?

Re: Why the crypto is dropping again?
by
kajin
on 16/05/2018, 18:02:24 UTC
I thought the market is recovering, but BTC and most of alt coins are dropping again today.
Should I sell my coins?

Volatility is the name of the game. I think its going slightly flat as many are waiting for the NewYork consensus conference. In years past this is where allot of news comes out so I think people are waiting in the wings. Add to that the non show of the sec meeting on ethereum.

This^

Don't get trapped in the short term game. The big players want weak hands to sell. They will shake you out. Think in terms of long term. The top 100 on Coinmarketcap will be exponentially higher by then, given the influx of institutional money.

And if you're looking to sidestep the volatility in crypto, look at different markets like the loaning and credit industry within the crypto space. FIC Network will be launching their mainnet in June and kind've like SALT, plan to provide secondary loan investment vehicles for institutions and retail investors. So you can get paid for hodling crypto. Fixed income markets will be huge!

This is little hard to predict know because many promising ICOs are comes in the market. so peoples are must read the white paper and roadmap we can identify the potential project but successing project is we don't find anyway because everything is depends on current scenario status.

I agree, but there are a few tell-tale signs that can tip you off to potential success. WAN, ICON, HOLO were all hits when they were listed on exchanges. This was due to a few different factors, including but not limited to social sentiment, progress of the tech, market conditions, etc

The concept looks professional and promising. The whitepaper show the nearly future that Q4 2018 will launch the network. Hope it will be ontime as the whitepaper shown.

They're actually ahead of schedule! They'll be launching Mainnet next month in June.

Re: Long Term Holds - advice on profile
by
kajin
on 15/05/2018, 04:48:14 UTC
If you are not holding Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tether, I think it is a great mistake, go and check last year run up, Bitcoin and Ethereum out perform the whole Altcoin market, there will be a time that you might also need Tether to buy the dip of Ethereum and BTC, look when Ether was $400 and no one is picking it up at that price, funny isn't it

Personally, I use altcoins to accumulate more BTC. Because of this. BTC is king in this market and will continue to be for years to come. It will rise to triple digits imo.

That being said, there are a few projects that stand to be worthy of long term holds. VeChain is my biggest long-term hold. Been holding since 30c and will continue to hold. Those masternodes will pay my through retirement. Honestly the best project in terms of fundamentals. Jim Breyer as an investor? PwC incubator? Parternships out the wazoo and Sunny Lu handles everything with grace and elegance. They got style man, and I guarantee they will be Top 5 over the next year.

Besides VEN, I'm big on XLM (and maybe Ripple by association) for similar reasons. The market share to be had is large, and their target audience: the 2 billion unbanked.

A long long long term hold you should consider is FIC Network. They will be facilitating mass adoption through fixed income markets. Great for institutional money, which is ultimately needed to drive the next major bull cycle.

I havent seen any ICOs that have caught my eye in the past 4 months. Bloom was the last thing i got into and finally bag held to profit lol

Bloom looks interesting. KYC and identification in general will be critical to be in compliance with SEC regulations.

I've been investing in FIC Network's ICO. They just partnered with Civic, a blockchain based KYC service (https://medium.com/fic-network/fic-network-partners-with-civic-technologies-2d29de52abe0). Presale ends tomorrow and they've been way ahead of schedule so they are ready to release mainnet in June rather than Q4, which is pretty awesome. Check it out!

Re: With gov't and banks taking up blockchain, what ICO would profit the most?
by

on 15/05/2018, 04:17:51 UTC
FIC Network is an upcoming ICO that's doing exactly what you are talking about. They are focusing on institutions (already have a product with a few clients) to create a fixed income market for crypto. I think it's great they are focusing on big players first before retail investors as I think this will help adoption, and is also in general a better marketing strategy.

why would institutions adopt FIC though? i don't see FIC well marketed or positioned with large players for real use

It depends on the institution, but adopting FIC would be faster, cheaper, and easier to audit.

could you expand on this please?

if the goal is to become the all-star one stop solution for global fixed income, wouldn't that in essence distrupt traditional mutual funds ? i see corporate adopters shying away from this as they are investment vehicles themselves

Mm, not quite. Existing mutual funds and other investment vehicle creators benefit from the platform since they can do the same thing on FIC Network. More efficiency in terms of speed, cost, and auditability.

Re: Next good ICO?

FIC Network is one that's on my radar. They're targeting institutions > retail investors, so they don't really need to advertise to the average consumer. This makes marketing much easier for them. They've already been vetted by a few financial businesses, and have investments from some big crypto funds as well (https://www.chipin.com/astronaut-capital-invests-fic-network/). Obviously DYOR and exercise caution, the ICO market is not the same as it was at the end of 2017.

FIC Network may be worth a look. They're building a decentralized marketplace for fixed income. I'll post some links to jumpstart your research:

Dav and Quant seem like a good one to check out as well.

Careful on eBoost. Their roadmap is largely filled with placer events like "hope to be listed on these many exchanges by this time" and "hope to be top 20 on coinmarketcap by this time" which isn't a goal or development aspiration. Moreover, I looked into their supposed partnership with Rocket League and it's basically nonexistent. I was banned from their discord for posting legitimate questions about the project and they said I was spreading FUD. DYOR obviously.

Re: Is Stellar going to be a top 5 coin?

Stellar has a lot going for it. There's two billion unbanked people and that's their main target.

I love dApps built of XLM since it is scalable and super fast! For example, FIC Network, an up and coming ICO will be launching their marketplace on the stellar lumens platform.
