Re: 2019, A Challenging Year for Ethereum
by
kakawin
on 28/02/2019, 09:05:13 UTC
You should also be aware of the fact that 2019 is the year that is lined up with major eth network upgrades and improvements so as a proactive dev team eth developers must have this point in mind and im sure they will come up with a solution for dapps and to make transactions in dapps instant and cheaper.
This year, not only important updates for ethereum, but also scheduled important white paper events for a huge number of ico projects built on this platform. We can see something very interesting this year.

Re: Regulations or Anonymity

I prefer the idea of anonymity, especially because of the strong state control over the private life of citizens in recent times. This is a kind of response against excessive state control. But I understand that regulation in some areas of the crypto world is necessary for further development.

I dislike the unfair behavior of the development team. How can you trust a team that does not fulfill its promises? If the development team fulfills all that it promised, it means that the project is trustworthy.
I don’t like multiaccunts either, it’s not fair either.

Re: What is your general sentiment on soft-caps for ICO's?
by
kakawin
on 27/02/2019, 09:36:18 UTC
These soft caps are way too high. Most can be done for around half a million dollars. It is just greed that requires them to request millions in unnecessary funding most of which won't go anywhere near it
When the project has large discrepancies in the amounts between Soft and Hard, this makes me very suspicious.  Recently saw the project Soft 1m $, Hard 45m.
Yes, I agree that there should not be much difference between Soft and Hard. I believe that the existence of Soft is possible, but this is a kind of reinsurance of the creators of the project.

At the moment, it is finally clear that crypto currencies have a future. It is not clear how long it will take for all people to realize this.

Re: How to check if ICO is scam or not?
by
kakawin
on 26/02/2019, 20:57:30 UTC
It is really not easy to find out individual ICOs legit or scam. In my opinion, you must check their whitepaper, check team members profile info, telegram group or channel activity, see their adviser board.it is a very hard decision in investing ICOs. Do not think about what others people says,do your own research then you can find legit one beside the scam ICOs.
Indeed it is a very difficult task. It is necessary to carry out this study, which takes a lot of time and effort.
The most important thing is not to do rash actions, if there is even the slightest doubt in ico, then it is better to refuse to invest. There are almost no good ico at the moment.

Re: What to do if you are deceived?
by

I don't think trying to 'find and punish' the scammers will work. The best approach I think is to try to learn from our mistakes, understand why we fell victim to a scam, in order that we can improve the decisions that we make in future. Mistakes can be beneficial if they prevent bigger mistakes further down the line.
Unfortunately, this is so. It is necessary to make maximum efforts in order not to become a victim of deception. After you have been deceived, there is little that can be done.

Re: What are other ways to earn?

I think that trading is the main type of earnings in crypto. But trading in a falling market is very difficult. We must have experience.
Judging by the question, the  topic starter is new to the world of crypto currencies. I would not advise starting trading on the market. It is better to keep the coins very long term.

Re: Which coins to invest in for a beginner

There are a few simple rules for a beginner. You need to buy famous coins that have long been on the market. You also need to buy coins at a time when the market is at the bottom, such as now.

While the market in 2019 shows us that it is very weak. But it seems to me that this is a very good opportunity to buy cheap coins. In a year or two, all this can cost ten times more.  Wink

Bounty campaigns have become less popular and this is good. From a large number of bounty campaigns eyes hurt. Better a small number of projects, but better quality.  Smiley

Re: There will be many tokens that go to zero.

I agree that a lot of tokens will hit to zero, simply because they are a poor idea with very little application.

In any ecosystem you see that, but the startups and tokens that have a value won't die.
It looks like natural selection. Only the strongest projects will survive. Perhaps it is even good for the future world of crypto currencies.

I like the crypto currency for independence from the state and the banking system. I understand that this is relative independence, but this is already something.  Smiley

You can buy now if this is a long-term investment. It has long been understood that the crypto currency will definitely have a future. Therefore, it does not matter if you buy coins now or a little earlier or a little later.

This indirectly suggests that Google supports cryptocurrency. It is interesting. I do not think that Google has done this for the sake of popularity among crypto enthusiasts.

Decentralized exchanges do not have enough volume, but this is due to popularity. When decentralized exchanges become more popular, then the problem with small volumes will be solved by itself.

Re: How do you feel now?

I think the bull season is starting now. At this point, I started to make small sales. I'm starting to get the return. The start of the beautiful rises is very close.
If this is true, then this is very good news. But you need to wait in order to know for sure. It may be too early for growth.
