Re: How long time will take to market rise ?

The sad thing is that adoption will be extremely difficult. No one needs crypto. And it’s a pain in the ass compared to the options already available (and safe).

We are trying to sell something that is not needed, more risky, harder to use and extremely volatile. Just try to convince someon in your life to use crypto. Try it. See what happens. Then time that by hundreds of millions of people.

Re: I bought bitcoin at $20k last year

HOPE it hits $30k this year (or at least $22k) (to maybe sell) before the next Jan. 9, 2019 slide into Jan. 30 followed by the appearance of a return, raising (then sell) followed by the next Feb (2019) slump again but holding at $12k+ for much of 2019. (Bought at $230 per bitcoin (including all fees), never sold).

All alt currencys are pegged to btc. If you want to swap , you almost always go via btc. If you have to pay tax, then pegging it all to btc would also be probably be done. Changing it would require divine intervention, even if the successor is better .

It's like trying to get America to change from miles to kilometres. It's engrained into the backbone of this industry now.

Re: Will ethereum value ever return to $1,400?
by

No one knows what will happen but I know what has happened and that's that ethereum went from $300 to $1,400 in three months. Not saying the past predicts there future but its proof that crypto can bounce quickly.

Filling my bags. Been waiting out for months now and "something" tells me this isn't too far off the bottom for ETH. (until it isn't and I've caught bags again ,I keep hearing btc will go to $3k in my inner circles so I’d be willing to suggest $120ish as a bottom for Eth

people definitely lost money on the fall after the DAO debacle. I was around for that and I was a bit negative after the drop too. I may have not been negative from the drop from 420 to 150 but I saw plenty of people who were.

Re: ETHEREUM OR RIPPLE?
by

Yes! I am investing 9% of my salary in Eth every month. Not quite half an eth yet but getting there. My goal is to accumulate as much Ether as I can afford to.
yeah man most definitely... i mean we aren't gonna get that sweet 100000000X % return , but still, if it goes up 10% , so does your investment

Re: Reason we pay taxes and why we should
by
kalidos

This throwaway line is actually very astute. The only way to get people to live or businesses to operate in shitty places is to provide some sort of benefit to do so. Since states cannot change their location, they must do something else to increase desirability. Hence, lowering taxes is the easiest, and often, most efficient way to do so.

However, the reduced revenue cycles to crappier schools, fewer services, less maintenance of public investment, etc. which in turn makes it less desirable and the need again to reduce taxes again to improve desirability. This is very simplistic, of course, but I see you Kansas and Wisconsin (contrasted to Minnesota).

The longer people doubt bitcoin can scale, and believe that scale is the thing that will hold bitcoin back, the longer we get to collect cheaper bitcoin. Obviously Bitcoin can scale with some engineering and some time.

Re: What is the Future of Bitcoin In 2019?
by
kalidos
on 02/09/2018, 12:20:57 UTC
Volatility will decrease over time as the market matures. Market maturing meaning the price will be many times what it is today as user adoption grows exponentially over the next 5-10 years.

Lightning Network will be used for daily payments and will be used like Android Pay and Apple Pay are used today. It will probably take a decade from say 2020 to 2030 for usage of Bitcoin as a payment medium to become a pretty mainstream thing.

Everyone has their own goals. The rises and falls are technically the same as compounded interest. If you need your initial investment, sure, take it out. If you aren't hurting for it, leaving it in means it can continue to help make you some gains

500 btc is a huge sum for a face-to-face exchange with a stranger of whom we know nothing of all, it is very dangerous even to devilguate his identity and  let people knew we have 500 btc at home, because risk of kidnaping and other crimes

Bitcoin is still consolidating around the $6,500 resistance level, forming a triangle.

Breaking it to either direction will probably lead a strong move towards the direction. Trading volume is low, as likely to weekends. Stochastic RSI is at its high levels – might indicate on a correction down which is needed.

For icon I agree with you. Icon is undervalued, especially compared to many other coins that currently have a higher market cap. Icx deserves much more in my eyes. The explanation that I have for the lower price of ICX at the moment is weak hands, not to mention the still low number of exchanges

example of what you call translation
one month thread with 4 replies of the same Shitcointalk and 64 view , which mean nobody has visited thread beside Shitcointalk  .

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3753825.msg39482284#msg39482284

im not a translator and dont try to attract me to your dirty game.

this french section is your playground all four, play there as you want
but to try to influence on all the forum to exonerate a merit farmer, and to encourage this kind of practice, then, allow me to intervene and say halte.

I do not see the utility of posting in a dead forum section where you and your 4 boyfriend spam all day long with ANN that have no interaction beside your own replies .

have a little conscience and objectivity because

when I posted in this thread I was well aware that the 4 friends will try to burn me alive and I know what you are capable of

Be assured that I am not trying to burn anyone. That would be a pretty sad goal. Read my post again and you will see that I even agree with Oscar's redtrust.

I also agree that french section is a huge mess. Sadly, yes. But if you are being honest, and if you really read it, you should also know that the same John is trying his best to make it better. Something that, if I am being honest as well, I can't say about you after reading at your post history. You support the french section or you don't, whatever. But if you do, don't bite the hand that feeds you.

It is also a nice quotation you wrote there, even though I am not sure why you posted it here. And wearing a signature makes it a bit ironical.
What is also unclear is the purpose of your post in the first place. Have you been redtagged for one of those poor translations we tagged last week ? It was all well deserved by the way, so if you are trying to defend cheaters who barely speaks french but try to do some translation work, you will have some hard time (for those who woudn't know about that, 10 cheaters accounts were heavily redtagged a few days back because of their poor quality work. It can be found HERE).

Come on, don't be ashamed, tell us what it is all about ?

I am a reader of the french section of the forum and my conscience obliges me to give my opinion on an absurd situation that johnuser and some 4 members try to make reign on the french forum:

johnuser tries to make caid or warlord in this section with sordid and despicable methods, he threatens certain members to give them collective redtrust with the help of his band and his affiliate, and promised to other remove their redtrust just acquired as the case of ashe,

here he mences the people who do not come to give him a hand in his little war:

...

Well, that is unexpected ! And it's coming from one of the biggest member in the french section looking at his latest posts, or even all his post should I say. So I am not even sure how you have been offended because you never posted once in the french sub-forum! Unless of course if one other account of yours has been red tagged by one of us...  Roll Eyes  (A few very bad translators were "redtrusted" lately, out of respect to everyone)

Just one more thing, I didn't see any kind of threats coming from John. He does redtrust easily when he has a good reason, or he doesn't without good reasons.

I do not see the utility of posting in a dead forum section where you and your 4 boyfriend spam all day long with ANN that have no interaction beside your own replies .

another time I say that this person is a mental patient who tries to become the king of the French forum in every way possible and imaginary , sometimes with the power of collective redtrust that he has on the other hand by putting pressure on other members to express the ideas he wants.

Taking the case of Ashe, for example, there is not the slightest doubt that he used the merit farming, but he promised to take away his redness with all the means and pressure he has.

I found myself out of me seeing this sordid act of this person and his little band in this French section already dead and not active section of forum bitcointalk :

I believe a genuinue way to earn well in signature and bounty campaigns is to get promoted to at least a full member of this forum there is a lot of opportunities in a higher rank but it takes a lot of time and good posts to attain those ranks.

Personally, I think 5 coins that I need to hold in the market now are: ETH, BCH, LTC, RIP, EOS as it has great potential, promising and thriving in the future.
