The new beta version is ready. It is mostly a bugfix release, the more significant upgrades are coming next month. You can download PhoenixMiner 6.3b from here:

PhoenixMiner_6.3b_Windows.zip
PhoenixMiner_6.3b_Linux.tar.gz

The new features in this release are:

  • Full LHR disable mode -lhrdis <n>  1 - yes (default), 0 - no

  • RTX 3060 LHR       ~ 50 MH/s
  • RTX 3060 Ti LHR       ~ 60 MH/s
  • RTX 3070 LHR       ~ 60 MH/s
  • RTX 3070 Ti LHR       ~ 81 MH/s
  • RTX 3080 10GB LHR   ~ 98 MH/s
  • RTX 3080 Ti LHR       ~ 120 MH/s

  • Dual mining TON
  • Fixed an issue with expired SSL certificate that led to "certificate verify failed" errors when connecting to some pools (notably Ethermine) when using SSL connections
  • Show the GPU vendor name in the list of GPUs to make it easier to identify the GPUs
  • Added support for the latest AMD Linux drivers 21.40.1. There are some bugs in these drivers, particularly the clocks and voltages can't be set properly with older
    cards (RX4x0/RX5x0/Vega/RadeonVII)
  • Validated support for the latest AMD Windows drivers up to 21.11.2
  • Fixed issues with AMD RX6700XT cards with the latest AMD and Linux drivers
  • Fixed issues with AMD Vega and Radeon VII cards on latest Windows and Linux drivers
  • Fixed crash with very old Nvidia drivers (3xx.x)
  • Other fixes and small improvements

Known issues (driver incompatibilities, etc.) and workarounds:

If you are using Linux drivers 21.40.1 with Radeon VII cards, you need to add the option -fpwm 1 in order to have proper fan control.
AMD Linux drivers 21.40.1 has finally removed the requirement of PCIe atomics but there are problems when you try to mix Polaris (RX4x0/5x0) cards and Vega or newer cards on the same rig.
Some Nvidia cards will report a lot of stale shares under Windows 11. Using the same driver version under Windows 10 resolves the issue.

The Crowncoin Movement Launch:  What does it mean?

One of the things that we think is essential in creating a community is providing incentives for people to work for the greater good of the movement. To achieve this we have created Crowncoin. Everyone has a chance to become an owner of CRW and thereby own a piece of the movement.

CRW Distribution Model

Our model for how to distribute CRW is unique. Unlike most new crypto-coins, CRW it had not been sold in a crowdsale or ICOs. Instead, we will be giving CRW away as a reward for people who contribute to the movement. One of the easiest ways to earn CRW will be to publicize the movement through social media. Another way will be to actively contribute within the Crowncoin community.

We plan on giving away CRW until there are 5 million accounts created through our Slack community channel. Our goal is to build a substantial community foundation of people who are  interested in CRW. As in all things, the start is always the most difficult, so we plan to scale the rewards accordingly. Therefore, it is highly advantageous to engage early and begin accumulating CRW. The first opportunity to earn CRW will be through Twitter.

Just as a reminder before continuing…the movement is just beginning and while we have a vision for how things will work, we reserve the right to change things at any time. So don’t take what comes next as set in stone.  We are also starting EXTREMELY small and building from here. We will learn A LOT in these early days and modifications will be necessary. We are already planning to modify the initial CRW smart contract and this will require CRW holders to send us these initial tokens in exchange for the new ones. Because we already know this, we have put an asterix after CRW to remind everyone that  Crowncoin is still in development. As early adopters, certain inconveniences such as this should be expected.

How To Earn CRW

Step 1: Download your Crowncoin wallet here if you haven't already. http://crowncoin.org/wallet.php

Step 2: Sign up below with your email, twitter account and crowncoin address https://crowncoin.wufoo.com/forms/crowncoin-movement/  and join our Slack #crowcoinmovement channel  here: https://crowncoin.slack.com/messages/crowcoinmovement/

Step 3: Send a tweet which includes @Crowncoin1 and a message promoting the movement. You must tag @Crowncoin1 in the tweet. We currently use #crwmovement and #crwevolution but feel free to inform us of any additional hashtags you use.

Step 4: Continue to tweet and post on social media. Initially you will only receive a CRW reward once per week no matter how many tweets you send during that week. However, we will start to add additional bonus rewards for things such as retweets and likes you receive. And of course, we will add new social media platforms where you can earn rewards.

Step 5:  Encourage your friends to name you as the person who referred them. We know we can’t do this alone, so as a reward for getting someone to sign up we will give you 1% of all the CRW they ever make out of the rewards during the movement. But we won’t steal the CRW from them, we will just add it as an additional bonus.

Current Vision For How Rewards Will Scale:

PHASES OF THE MOVEMENT

Phase 1: ENLIGHTENMENT
First 1000 CRW Slack accounts
500 CRW per tweet

Phase 2:  AWARENESS
1000-10,000 CRW Slack accounts
300 CRW per tweet

Phase 3:  EMERGENCE
10,000-100,000 CRW Slack accounts
100 CRW per tweet

Phase 4: EMPOWERMENT
100,000-1,000,000 CRW Slack accounts
10 CRW per tweet

Phase 5:  ACCEPTANCE
1,000,000-5,000,000 CRW Slack accounts
1 CRW per tweet

From the scale above it is important to note that even if you are one of the first 1000 accounts, you will only earn the reward of 1000 CRW per tweet while we are in that phase.  As soon as we enter the next reward phase you will see a reduction in your reward and receive the same amount as all the newcomers.

Reward Distribution Periods

The first reward distribution will take place a month from now around July 20, 2016. We will tabulate and publish the rewards each week, but your CRW will only arrive once a month in the beginning. We are still working to automate this process and we don’t want to over commit on the frequency of reward transactions. However, we hope to increase the frequency in the near future. This will also give us a chance to monitor and make adjustments.

How To Discourage Scammers

We understand that our distribution model is not scam proof. There are many people who will try to game the system including professional click-farms which can erode what we are trying to achieve. We don’t have the time or people to chase all the scammers down. So we are asking YOU, the community, to hunt them down for us. As a reward, we will offer large CRW bounties for conclusive evidence of scammer accounts. Our initial bounty for anyone who finds a scammer will be 50,000 CRW. To aid you in this effort, we will publish all the social media accounts with their associated CRW rewards in advance so community members can sniff out the scammers before they receive the reward. The definition of what is a scammer will become better defined, but basically anyone who tries to game the system by setting up multiple accounts or uses a network designed to create the illusion of popularity is a scammer. Scammers damage the reputation of CRW as well as decrease the value of YOUR holdings. Let’s shut these jerks down!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

You have read the above statements and agree to have your social media username/handles published to the internet as well as any CRW token rewards you may earn. Once the tokens have been distributed to your account, the Crowncoin Movement is not responsible for securing your tokens. Any loss incurred once the tokens are in your possession will not be reimbursed. Any individual who engages in illegal activity, regardless of the jurisdiction, and employs the use of CRW the token in such actions, will be fully responsible and the Crowncoin Movement is not culpable in any way. The CRW token is not a security and does not represent any form of equity or share in a company. CRW rewards do not constitute employment with any corporate entity and does not entitle you to any compensation beyond the reward received. We reserve the rights to change any part of the reward system outlined above without prior notification and without community approval.

Also we are looking for translators of this announcement into various languages. There is a bounty for the translation. Just PM me if interested.

So what are you waiting for?!!! Get going and set up your Crowncoin wallet http://crowncoin.org/wallet.php and send out that first tweet!

We are also working on dedicated website for the app which we are going to launch after some testing period.

An app? A website for the app? I'm missing something!

What will this app do?
I mean the Android wallet app, which will have its own website presentation.

What is time stamping and why is it useful?

Time stamping is the process of creating a proof that something (in particular, a digital file) existed at some point in time. This can be very useful in a lot of situations. For instance, to prove authorship of some manuscript, song or other digital work: If you create a time stamp before you publish the work and then someone tries to "steal" it, you can use the time stamp to prove that you had the piece before everyone else. Or, if you rent a flat (could also be a car or something else, it does not really matter), you can take pictures of any damage present and time-stamp it. This allows you to prove later on that you were not the originator of the damage, since it was already present on the date when you moved in.

How is this related to Crowncoin?
Crowncoin creates digital money. Ownership of a particular balance is proved using asymmetric cryptography. In other words, if you own some crowncoins and want to send them to Alice, you write a message saying:

I want to transfer X crowncoins out of my balance Y to Alice.
and sign it with your private key.

Then you broadcast the message to the Crowncoin network, and every participating node can process the transfer if your signature matches the owner of "balance Y". However, a major difficulty in systems like this is double-spending: In addition to your message above, you could also create a message that spends the very same balance to Bob (or even back to yourself!). In this situation, the network needs a way to determine which of the two transactions is the "correct" one. A simple rule to resolve this conflict is to "use the earlier transaction". However, for this to work, one needs a way to determine an absolute order of events on which the network agrees upon.
This is the point where Crowncoin's time-stamping scheme comes in: Roughly speaking, all transactions are grouped into blocks. The blocks themselves form a hash chain, which implies that earlier blocks can not be manipulated without invalidating the whole chain. A particular process, called mining, is then employed to reach consensus about the correct chain. This leads to an absolute order of blocks, which is almost impossible to change afterwards. Since each block contains a real-world time, these blocks can also be interpreted as time stamps of the data contained in them (as well as all previous blocks of the chain).

Crowncoin time stamps
While Crowncoin is, of course, designed to be money, the system can be "hacked" to include time stamps of actual data.. Instead of crafting particular transactions that look like sending money but instead contain data, you can just include your data per design into a crown's value! Since Crowncoin has a blockchain similar to Bitcoin's, the same time-stamp process secures the data afterwards.

However, one can still argue that Bitcoin is the most secure blockchain in existence, and that Bitcoin has a better chance of surviving throughout the coming years than Crowncoin has. (While we believe that both systems will survive and be of great use, we also think that this argument is justified.)

Fortunately, Crowncoin is merge-mined with the Bitcoin blockchain: This means that Bitcoin miners can also mine Crowncoin, without any additional cost. Currently about just a few of all Bitcoin miners makes use of this possibility. The way in which merge-mining works ensures that Crowncoin blocks are, in some sense, regularly included into the Bitcoin blockchain. In other words, even if you use Crowncoin to time-stamp your data, a hash chain will eventually exist that links your data back to Bitcoin itself!
At this point, finally, CrownStamp comes in: It allows you to explicitly highlight and extract this link. This makes your time stamp independent of the Crowncoin blockchain, so that your proof can be verified just against the Bitcoin alone.

Crowncoin is with Namecoin the only "altcoin"  having merged-mining and namestamping function implemented. We can call Crowncoin merged-mined sidechain for Bitcoin.

Big thanks to @domob who implemented merged-mining, time-stamping and name-stamping features into the Crowncoin core. Thanks!

In Crown we trust!

Cool, weel done knight!

We do have offer for mobile Android wallet for Crowncoin.
It will be based on www.coinomi.com HD wallet, which has of the best security and privacy features on the market.

I´v been offered to have this created for 0.5 BTC + 40k in Crowns + TREZOR device.

Personally I´m going to cover at least 0.1 + 10k + TREZOR .
I have already 2 knights going to contribute at least the same amount.

If there someone interested to contribute as well, let me please know.

This type of wallet could give Crowncoin another competitive advantage, because of its security and privacy features.

The normal cost of the service is 1.5 BTC - http://dev.cryptolife.net/order/altcoin-android-wallet/ so I negotiated quite good discount.

From the brand spanking new Website www.crowncoin.org, can the dev team tell us when "15% of all Crowns earned will be allocated to the developer pool. This will ensure the developer community is highly motivated and rewarded for providing free-to-use applications as their revenue model" will be implemented and how?
We are now having discussion with domob if this is doable at this stage or not. Also there are some other options how to get some steady crowncoin income for development plans.

One thing regarding the development plans, I think we should be soon able to store Crowncoin on www.bitcointrezor.com. There are currently only 5 coins you can store on TREZOR so this could become quite good advantage against the 630 altcoins:-) It is not a huge development however secure and easy Crowncoin cold storage which can make Crowncoin tangible and more easy to use for newcommers.
And there are some other possibilites we can do with TREZOR and Crowncoin:-)
