hi PhoenixMiner

v6.1b still shows "ssl certificate verify failed" in some pool
can we just have an easy option to totally ignore the certificate problem? something like "no strict ssl"?

We will add this in the next version but please do not use it lightly - with this option the whole point of using SSL is moot as it allows MITM attacks with self-signed certificates.

If it allows a MITM attack I think it would be better not to implement it. Funny thing is I haven't encountered any "ssl certificate verify failed" yet not with 6.0c haven't tried 6.1b yet.
My pools are -pool ssl://eu1.ethermine.org:5555 -pool2 ssl://us1.ethermine.org:5555 mind you I am running Debian bookworm(testing) and based in the Netherlands so that might be why I don't have issues.

don't worry about it, you can use it by your own will, we want option to Ctrl this, by default this function will not be active

PhoenixMiner 6.0c is officially released. You can find the download links and the checksums in this post, or in the first post of this thread.

You can download PhoenixMiner 6.0c from here:

PhoenixMiner_6.0c_Windows.zip
PhoenixMiner_6.0c_Linux.tar.gz

To check the integrity of the downloaded file, please use the following hashes (you need the last file PhoenixMiner_NVRTC_Windows.zip only if you want to mine BCI with Nvdia cards under Windows):

The new features in this release are (since the last official release 5.9d):

  • Implemented partial unlocking of Nvidia LHR cards. By default they are detected automatically, and unlocked with the default unlock intensity (520). If you want to try higher (or lower) LHR unlock intensity, use the new -lhr command line parameter. For example -lhr 580 will try more aggressive unlocking than the default 520 unlock intensity. This parameter may (and should) be specified for each GPU separately as some GPUs can support higher unlocked speeds.
  • If an Nvidia LHR card locks up because of high -lhr (the default 520 will work with most cards), the card will be unlocked again, and the -lhr value will be lowered if necessary
  • Added support for new AMD Windows drivers up to latest driver version 22.2.3
  • Added support for new AMD Linux drivers up to latest driver version 21.50
  • Multiple other small fixes and improvements

The updated list of known issues (driver incompatibilities, etc.) and workarounds:

  • The new Nvidia 3050 and 3080 12GB cards have different kind of LHR lock, which is not supported yet by PhoenixMiner.
  • When mining with LHR cards, the hashrate will start lower and will go up to its normal value in about 2-4 minutes (similar to the auto-tune process on AMD cards).
  • AMD Linux driver 21.40.1 has a bug preventing proper setting of clocks and voltages on older cards (RX4x0/RX5x0/Vega/RadeonVII). Given that these drivers are also usually slower than the older drivers for these cards, we recommend using Linux drivers 20.30 for anything older than RX6000 series.
  • If you are using Linux drivers 21.40.1 with Radeon VII cards, you need to add the option -fpwm 1 in order to have proper fan control.
  • AMD Linux drivers 21.40.1 has finally removed the requirement of PCIe atomics but there are problems when you try to mix Polaris (RX4x0/5x0) cards and Vega or newer cards on the same rig.
  • Some Nvidia cards will report a lot of stale shares under Windows 11. Using the same driver version under Windows 10 resolves the issue.

For more robust integrity check, you can use our GPG public key, which was verifyed with ETH transaction from our main devfee account as explained here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2647654.msg56755869#msg56755869. Here are the signatures for the files in this release:

Please disregard any posts with "new" versions of PhoenixMiner in this thread unless they are from our user account, and the files are hosted on our web server: https://phoenixminer.info/

dear developer, can you add function "--no-strict-ssl", some ssl pool does not have valid certificate, and it shows the wrong message"certificate verify failed", thanks

The new features in this release are:

  • Added support for the new ETCHash algorithm that will be used by the ETC blockchain from Nov 28, 2020. If you want to mine ETC, you should add -coin etc to your command-line, or , COIN: etc to your epools.txt file. See the start_miner_etc.bat and epools_example.txt files for examples

Here is a full command-line example for mining ETC (IMPORTANT: replace the ETC address with your own ETC wallet address in the -wal option, Rig001 is the name of the rig):

Code:
PhoenixMiner.exe -pool ssl://eu1-etc.ethermine.org:5555 -wal 0x008c26f3a2Ca8bdC11e5891e0278c9436B6F5d1E.Rig001 -coin etc

Here are a couple of epools.txt lines for ETC mining:

Code:
POOL: ssl://eu1-etc.ethermine.org:5555, WAL: 0x008c26f3a2Ca8bdC11e5891e0278c9436B6F5d1E.Rig001, COIN: etc
POOL: etc-eu1.nanopool.org:19999, WAL: 0x008c26f3a2Ca8bdC11e5891e0278c9436B6F5d1E.Rig001, COIN: etc

If you do not intend to mine Ethereum Classic (ETC) you can stay on PhoenixMiner 5.2e for now because there are no other significant changes besides the support for ETCHash. Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.3b.

thanks for your great work!
can you improve amd polaris card such as 580 2048sp, 590, 590gme time straps function,  claymore's time straps function was perfect, but in your software, always get low hashrate with this function, thanks

Rx 5700 Asus Reference after copying 1500 timing straps I now get 57Mh PheonixMiner Ether on HiveOS with CORE 1375 CoreV 800 MEM915 Miner Reporting 118 watts

57 is too high, check for errors or bad shares. Its not point running too high a clock / too tight a strap if you do not end up getting a benefit.
For accurate measurements check poolside stats over 24 hours to get to know if a change (overclock or strap change) had any benefit.

57 is fine. 3 out of 4 of my cards are doing 59+ stable, confirmed hashrate at pool side.

https://i.imgur.com/mbcOyQF.png

This is amazing! High hashrate with low power use..

Can you help me achieve the same results? Would be happy to donate to your cause.... :^)

I can help you, pm me

You're talking about the entire Russian scene? Yeah, it's well known that they keep almost everything to themselves.
They also like to start talking random Russian in an English thread.  Wink

Although i'm very well aware that you can't just throw everyone in the same pot.
You are partly right. I have a private timings for RX580 8GB Samsung and Micron Mh 36.5 to 35.5. Actually my old theme on the Russian forum (there are no timings there).

@Eliovp I see you've changed your mind about bios mods on RX 5700 Smiley
Have you tried changing the default voltages the card uses at stock settings?
https://i.imgur.com/mRACsh3.png
We can use those to set an "offset voltage curve" (y=ax2+bx+c, y in Volts, x in Ghz).
I've changed my default voltage for 2000 to 1.05v instead of 1.17v by tweaking those. They are stored in ieee754 float format in the bios.

BTW I'm super ready to test the timing encoding/decoding Smiley

Yeah, i've done my share of playing around with these navi's.

I don't think i'm going to release anything with stuff like "MorePowerTool" out there.
Let them have some fun.

Cheers!

great information!thanks for your effort

is it possible to mod nvidia straps like claymore do?

a new great tool for nvidia starps was Look forward to

great, i see your temperature is so low, how to keep this low temperature, what is your environment temperature? what vega 56 do you have?
flashing 64 increase the memory voltage, i am curious how it keep such low temperature, it is impressive!!!!!

only power. more power more temp. use  PPT table and 860mv for gpu and meme and this is it.

1 card is vega 64LE(water cooling) and this gpu have only 49° .
vega 56@64bios- 55-57° is normal with 860-870mv gpu and mem.
vega56 ref- fan work 2500-3500rpm
vega 56 nitro -fan work 1200-2500rpm (50-56°)
the room temperature is 25-35°

excellent, for the card vega 56 nitro limited edition with hynix memory which have 3 8pin, is it possible to flash 64 or is it need to flash 64 to reach higher hashrate? this card need at least 905mv, lower it will crash or got a lot of errors, rubbish card...

your gpu1 use to much power. try reinstal driver or chg ppt table for this gpu
your gpu0 use ultra low power:) this is super

is it stale able , no errors?
have error -1 per hour etc(not all card) ). no reject share- gpu no error on 900mv but use much power and i use this setup with error(etc-in 24 hour 1 card have 20 error)work fine - no block

Well, i made the decision a long time ago to never ever release this for several reasons that are absolutely not important Smiley

But i don't mind annoying you guys with some screenshots Smiley

 Cheesy

well done, but i have problem to running cli version, the error message was
"
C:\Users\3\Desktop\amdo>WinAMDTweak.exe --current
Failed to load EIO.dll"

how to fix it, thanks

you need to have the two dll's in the same directory as the amdtweak tool and that will resolve that. they are built in the download.
I have done that

I had the same thing happen with the newest release. The previous version works fine for me.

Redownload the binary from releases. It'll work fine now Smiley

thanks it work now

can you add { 0x1002, 0x699f, "Lexa [Radeon RX 550 512SP]" }

I add this in cpp file, and combine it in C++, but when i test it
it just show error message

C:\Desktop\win\win>WinAMDTweak.exe --current
Failed to load EIO.dll

I have put EIO.dll in the folder, it seems it need to be modify, but i have nothing know about how to modify dll file, so can your add 0x699f support in the cli version, thanks

Been testing Lexa RX550's (2gb elipida) with this tool. (To get them running with amdmemtweak linux cli version you need to add
Code:
(dev->device_id == 0x699f) || // Lexa [Radeon RX550]
to IsRelevantDeviceID.

Starting hashrate was approx 529H/S with TRM 1930 core, 1750 mem.

I lowered RFC to 82 (crashes at 80), and messed around with raising REF. Running at RFC 82 REF 50 gives around 545H/S.. which is a nice increase.

Cards also seemed stable at REF 100, and this got around 549H/S. How high can REF go? Well turns out no higher than 150 with my cards at least.

Seems like there is even more room for improvement with these cards... I will continue to experiment. I noticed someone selling a BIOS mod that claims 650H/S on these cards, so that seems like a nice target (if it really exists). Am I correct in saying that REF can't be changed with a BIOS mod? so this 650H/S bios mod (if real) must have gotten the increase without using REF?

Thanks for the tool, hopefully will report back with better hashrate increases for these cards.

win cli version how to add support for  0x699f  Lexa [Radeon RX550? the other question, 1930 core? is it 1130? I do not think the card can do with 1930 core?

Hah. I'd rather have you release them than your good friend Ohgoda*****. After all, I'm sure she'd be all over them and dying to claim them as her work...

It'll work fine now Smiley

thanks , it work well now, can your support device id "1002-699F" which was called lexa in cli version, I have checked, it was not support while the gui version was support
