on 06/03/2023, 19:57:37 UTC

Evolution is a fully Decentralized Cryptocurrency

We have developed a private and secure coin with hybrid cryptonote blockchain PoW + PoS, scalable where you can send and receive money, and not just that only. With a block time of 60 seconds, low fees, hybrid blockchain to secure even more the privacy of your transaction, are some of the features that make EvoX efficient, fast and secure peer-2-peer transaction.
With a block distribution PoW / PoS of 50% miners and stakers can enjoy the rewards. PoS is only with a single button activation in your EvoX GUI wallet (to make it simple) that once activated become master node and user will have a private bank on pc, you no longer have to send money in-to some master node, money dont leave your wallet.
As a privacy coin all EvoX transaction default are made untraceable with ring signatures and stealth addresses. Evox offer the posibility to create audible wallets to.
We have introduced aliases once with MultiSig and p2p contrancts, EvoX GUI wallet simplify user experience and give access to our escrow service, users can create fully customizable contracts.
Evolution is really a product of passion, love and learning. The project was created out of a desire and willingness to learn, educate and introduce more people into the fascinating world of the modern crypto.
We are completely open to suggestions. We are really looking forward to working with everyone and everyone who is willing to contribute to this project.

Yes, the situation is pretty sad right now. I have 8x 3080s (non-LHR) and I am mining ETHW these days. I have free electricity but it still sucks because the profits from mining are so low at the moment.

What would be the advantage of developing aps on ethw vs etc

I am no developer but I am assuming that it would be plug and play for ETHW since the code is more or less the same. With ETC the code is slightly different. So I am sure if it maintains a decent value there will be apps for ETHW but right now it’s too early too tell.

We had a nice pump this week. I feel if we weren’t in a bear market and if the GBP didn’t almost crash we would be at $50 levels. But many are scared to buy right now.

Now is the best time to mine it as I have already said, the Binance creating a pool for it greatly will enhance this coin despite them stating that this does not constitute that we will list it.It is much easier to develop on the ETHW but it is extremely early for this and most likely the developers need a bit more time in order to fully jump and create beautiful things on top of ETHW which in turn would make this coin to start climbing the ladder to really high levels both in price and adoption.

Are you saying that is this the right time to mine ETHW? Since I was using Nicehash until ETH went POS, should I continue mine using Nicehash? And if I need to connect to this Binance pool for mining ETHW, what software should I use? I am running Windows 10 and 8x3080s (non-LHR).

Re: Nicehash for mining Bitcoin is no longer profitable - any alternatives?

That's a bummer! I always thought that Bitcoin mining was profitable using both ASIC and GPUs. Now that Ethereum is gone, no idea what coin will replace it's place and how soon.

What is scary is that there are people all over Reddit and Twitter asking the same questions. They over-invested on their rigs because they assumed that they would be making profits for years until their rigs are paid off to be faced with this reality.

We warned them for months about the upcoming merge. We told them how difficulty works, how supply is capped. However everyone was like "Oh, when ETH goes POS I will just mine ETC, profits almost the same".

When will some other coin replace Ethereum? We don't know. Maybe 6 months, maybe 1 year, maybe never. If you like mining you should just switch to an ASIC and mine BTC or LTC if you got a good price on power. GPU for the moment will be difficult.

Actually when I first got into GPU mining scene in start of 2021, nobody told me that Ethereum shifting to POS will impact mining profits so much. It is only now I have realized that Ethereum was indeed most common currency people have been mining on GPUs. And I can't believe we won't have another POW currency to replace it. I mean, what will all these people with massive GPU farms do?

Regards

Hello all,

Due to Ethereum's shift to proof-of-stake, mining BTC on Nicehash is no longer profitable (DaggerHashimoto). I have 8x RTX 3080s in my rig.

What would be the alternative mining software to continue to mine BTC with similar profits as before?

Thanks!

I just purchased some parts from NewEgg and TigerDirect. Is it too late to start mining? :C

NewEgg will take 2 days to get here, while 3 days with TigerDirect.

Also, should I start with a lot of hardware? Or start small and buy more as you earn more Bitcoins.

Based on the websites you bought your "miner" I'm guessing you want to mine with a GPU with a custom made PC.

Even the smallest USB ASIC miner will be thousands of times better than a great GPU, so you can't realistically mine Bitcoin with a GPU.

You can however mine altcoins with a GPU/CPU. But for that you'll have to post in the Alt Mining section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0

When you say "Even the smallest USB ASIC miner will be thousands of times better than a great GPU, so you can't realistically mine Bitcoin with a GPU", could you suggest a model and approximate price? I am asking this because I have been mining BTC using Nicehash since last year with 8x 3080s!

OK then, I will keep mining with Nicehash. If there will be little difference between mining using Nicehash and some other platform, then I am fine using Nicehash.

Nicehash for mining Bitcoin

Hi all,

I have been mining almost for over a year now using 8x RTX 3080s (approx 92 MH/s per card). I have always used Nicehash for mining (using Windows 10). If I were to use a different mining software, will I be able to get a better hashrate than what I get on Nicehash these days? One of my friends was telling me that there is a huge difference in hashrates between Nicehash and some other miners but I haven't been able to try anything else yet. But if the difference is indeed large, I am tempted to give it a shot. Also, once ETH goes to PoS mode, won't it impact Bitcoin market and make it more valuable to mine?

So how much can one expect to mine using a single S17 as compared to 4x RTX 3080s?

My coin of choice is Bitcoin and ideally an ASIC miner that can mine it. I live in UAE and have fixed rental per month that includes utilities. As long as mining usage stays within 1500w, I wouldn't need to be paying anything extra.

Also worth mentioning is that I am currently doing mining on GPU of RTX 3080 x4.

Well the best way to mine btc is using 4x rtx 3080 at eth and converting the eth to  btc.

Now you already have 4x 3080 in hand.

The real question for you is do you switch to a used S17 with braiins software and set the gear to 1450 watts.

a braiins run s17 at 1450 watts will be loud but not stupid o my god loud.

it will do about 42th that is .22 x 42 = $9.20 usd

at the moment right now those 4x 3080 do say 1100 watts and earn maybe 400 x .05 = 20 usd

So on paper the 4x 3080 look better.

but maybe they slip in earnings. and maybe the s17 gets better in earning.

A) I do not know how much you spent on the 4x 3080
B) I do not know how much you mined on the 4x 3080
C) I do not know if they have warranty.
D) I do not know if you can sell them at a solid profit.

Selling the 4 cards and the whole rig could easily get you over 5000 usd if you were in the Usa
but if you paid 8000 usd and mined 1000 usd selling at 5000 usd is a loss.

To me I have

 gpus
asics for btc
asics for ltc/doge
I hold btc and ltc and shift all the stuff around.

good luck in whatever you do.

That is interesting indeed. What I don't understand is that if S17 will do approx 42 TH and all the 4x 3080s will do a combined 360 MH, shouldn't the S17 be mining a lot more coins?  The value of $9.20 usd / day for S17 seems too low or this is how things work? I thought, the more the hashrate, the more the coins mined.

Hello,

I had started this topic before 2 days but it vanished and no idea where!

Anyways, my budgest is approx USD 2500 and wanted to get ASIC miner. What would you suggest? I am fairly experienced with GPU mining but ASIC is a new world for me. What are some important things to take note of?

Thanks.

Dear all,

In the past few months I have invested in GPU based mining (3 GPUs) and am now thinking of acquiring ASIC based mining hardware. I have few questions below:

  • I have a budget of approx USD 2500. What kind of ASIC miner would you suggest?
  • What coin will I be able to mine? Can I select what to mine?
  • Approx wattage, hashrate and approx USD earnings per day of above

Thank you all!

From what I have read and heard from people (based on very little experience I have), the total hashpower of the Bitcoin network will drop if number of miners go offline. So in theory, payout amount will also get reduced in this case. And payout also depends on the value of the currency. But I am not sure if all this is entirely true.

So the hashrate is directly dependent on current Bitcoin value? My RTX 3080s are currently doing 6-7 USD per day even though they are mining at around 92 MH/s.

If people stop mining when the BTC value falls yes, you could say that they are linked for sure.

I guess that you use Nicehash with your RTX ? You mine ETH and you are paid in BTC if I'm not wrong ?

Hello,

I am mining in BTC and then transfer them to Binance (when enough has accumulated) for withdrawal in USD.
