probably hacker using stolen btc to buy his own cococoin... or some other scheme...

My biggest fear for this project is the external funding...or the so called "investors"..

- I believe they represent the "old" money...you know.. people with capital acquired from oldskool investing and business, and are playing the venture capitalists/business angels now in the bitcoin world, because they read about it in Financial Times once.
 
- Maybe they have accidentally ventured into some altcoin threads here, witnessed the fud, swearwords, bad behaviour, pumps'n'dumps and who knows what rotten happens inside this little circle, got scared, and decided to pull the plug altogether.... they don't want to be associated with this shitcoin scamworld, or simply don't want to be mt.Goxed.... So they pull out the funding and re-invest in silver and shares of coca-cola....  yikes

- If that happens, or happened, the devs would simply vanish onto some other things....greener pastures here and there. who knows..

- Anyways... I'm still 100% in, because I want to know how this story's next chapter is written.

Probably this is small time business, aimed for small time "dealers". They sell their stuff through onemarket, supermarket, or whatever p2p trustless anon marketplace that first launches... then they will go to the atm and cash out... 10 000 euros at a time in order to avoid money laundering accusations.. (In europe you can carry approx 8000-10000 euros in cash on person without being sued for money laundering)

- I'm telling you, when these ATM's launch, we will have a new profession.."The altcoin mule", professional altcoin > FIAT > money traffickers...
- If one person flies to Frankfurt airport 10x a year, it will start to become suspicious, therefore one has to have a network of mules that spread the suspicion.
- I was just laughing with my friend, that these ATM's are going to be so popular, that they are out of money all the time.. they will need a 24/7  direct pipeline from the note printing press to the ATM!

To be honest, I don't know how the big players with a lot of "illegal" bitcoin will convert it to fiat..? I think they need "legitimate" fronts operating seemingly legally in the bitcoin space... hmm bitcoin/altcoin exchanges come to mind....or.... Probably find a rogue state who don't give a shit about international law, and endorse the bitcoin movement ..

Maybe you don't understand, but this anon movement is very important.. People want to keep their operations covered from the police, customs and other snoopers... they just want to do their business safe.

I agree..but..... I wouldn't expect anything too soon, if at all. This is a 1/100 bet now. It is clear now, that trustless p2p anon marketplace is very complicated, requires top skills in coding and theoretical cryptography, as well as some genuine thinking out of the box.

The team had a concept, and they thought they could solve something big, but they were proved wrong. Maybe they knew it all along (that it was near to impossible), and just wanted to create the hype, who knows.

Maybe what is left to do is to mimic Supercoin's approach, who btw claims that they have found a solution to p2p trustless anon (although using coinjoin tech, which might be the weak link), and are also aiming to launch a marketplace in the "near future"...

Hell... I hope cloak succeeds, but there is no time to waste... whoever does this tech first will be the winner, and there are no second places..

I suggest you make the decentralized market working a.s.a.p. and then later concentrate on the visuals... Visuals don't matter as long as people have a working possibility to buy and sell items.

One suggestion: saffronyx does not compute..please find another name, please please... try saying "have you tried saffronyx yet" in a telephone conversation... hmmm.. specially if your native language is not English etc...Why not just use something simple like "saffron market"  ??

Yep. It's quite sad. Look a Digibyte for example... the team is constantly working on updates and innovation, totally honestly - heck they even created the digishield to protect coin(s) from multipools - and where are they now... ? Nowhere... they're too honest, and this market does not work around honesty...

Though if you invest in "honest" coins, you can sleep your nights a bit better, because their volatility is low(ish)...

We need coins that have straight away usage in real world, so they can skip the whole bitcoin part of the equation...

The same sell off is going on in drk also...they've lost more than 50% of value in a few days... it's altcoin madness out there...

I guess this anon craze is finally diminishing, as nobody seems to be able to work out a correct solution for real anon....

- My theory is that the dev is someone who has a lot of x11 farming power, and is all the time dumping to - gulp - US ! And then there was all this nonsense and fake irc's that kind of spoiled his good start, it all went chaotic, and he thought - aw Fux, let's call it a day. On to next coin...
