Version 0.9.6.1 doesn't want to start up for me - it just hangs after initialising the first GPU. When I skip the second RX580 8GB, it hangs on the third. Tried rebooting, nothing. Cmd line is default for C29M, I only fiddled with --devices. Clocks and power limits are default (no overclocking or anything). Drivers are adrenalin 20.1.1 / W10 pro. In afterburner I see the gpu clock on currently stuck initialsing GPU at max, but it never proceeds.

Before that, 0.9.5.1 fired up just fine, althrough it did take like 90 seconds to "initialise" all cards. Now it just looks like this with --devices 0,2,3,4,5 (I have 6 RX580 8GB total)

Setup Miner...
Device 0:
    Name:    Radeon RX 580 Series
    Address: 1:0
    Vendor:  Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)
    Memory: 8192 MByte (8142 MByte free)
    Active: true (Selected Algorithm: CuckarooM 29-8G)
Device 1:
    Name:    Radeon RX 580 Series
    Address: 2:0
    Vendor:  Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)
    Memory: 8192 MByte (8142 MByte free)
    Active:  false (not selected)
Device 2:
    Name:    Radeon RX 580 Series
    Address: 3:0
    Vendor:  Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)
    Memory: 8192 MByte (8142 MByte free)

.... hangs there ....

Maybe later, it is not posing a problem right now, as there are not many nodes in the network, but yes, big plans like storage system rework and such are also being worked on ;-)

BEWARE, THEY HAVE MANUALLY DISABLED E-MAIL VERIFICATION CODES SO YOU CAN'T WITHDRAW!!!!!

Support keeps blabbing on about "changing my email address" which involves KYC. I use my e-mail address to communicate with them. My e-mail is WORKING.

Sad part is their stupid "Hotbit 2019-10-08 USDT Settlement Interest Info(AD)" e-mails DO COME EVERY DAY.

They just forcefully disabled email verification codes and tell me it's my problem.

I also can't disable email auth as it asks for a code that NEVER ARRIVES.

STAY AWAY!!!!

To all the coin lovers out there - CoinGecko price updates!
by
kbs1
on 30/07/2019, 01:46:23 UTC
I've coded this application mainly for myself as I'm sick and tired of manually checking my portfolio value & other various price developments of coins I find fancy right now. I also wanted to receive periodical email notifications

a/ with my portfolio and it's value
b/ with my followed coins as of now
c/ when certain conditions pass

Therefore, the app allows you to do that.

So in short,
- app is free, and always will be free
- app uses 100% only coingecko API, so all of the data is from CoinGecko
- app has sweet & fast all-coins search with graphs, for easy browsing
- you have the ability to enter your own portfolio, and receive email updates (all optional of course)
- portfolio has delta calculations if you enter some of your coin transactions
- you can create notifications with any set of "AND" conditions. For example bitcoin price is > 15K and 7d% change is above 25%? Get an email NOW, it's probably an event you don't want to miss

That's it. I tried to polish the UI and emails as best as I could. In portfolio, you enter everything manually, there is no integration to block explorers or anything like that. Good for people who don't trade much (like myself).

I'm sure there are some other apps that offer the same functionality and even more. I just didn't bother to do the research. I knew what I wanted so I made it.

It might be useful to someone else as well.

Just visit coingecko.kbs.sh and see. If anyone finds any issues or would like to have some new features, feel free to let me know.

Coins update twice a day, notifications are sent only at those times. "Popular coins" [= coins that most people have in portfolio] update hourly (max 200 coins).

If you don't want to register with a valid email that's fine, there's no verification of email addresses.

Cheers Smiley

@Zminer777 OK it seems to be a connection issue afterall. The miner is using a "ethernet over power lines" adapter and while I was on site today, the connection really dropped for like ~5 seconds due to presumably power line noise (miners pull a lot of electricity).

This resulted in the miner stopping (I can see this by looking at the GPU fans, they stop spinning after a while when disconnected from pool).

I connected via RDP and violla - it started mining again.

I think this is a bug in GMiner, when launched via RDP. I think when it releases the GPUs, it's unable to use them again because of windows reasons presumably because "there's nobody at the computer, so why would any program want to use the GPU". When I connect, it starts up instantly. Is there anything we can do about this?

Hi guys, my windows 10 1903 AMD rig is now showing this weird behavior:

6x RX580 8GB
driver 17.x
all cards set to 'compute' mode
gminer 1.50
attemping to mine grin C29
HDMI dongle connected to one of the GPUs
using only RDP to launch the miner

It 'just works'. For 12 hours. Or for 4 days. Sometimes 3. There are no exact times. When it 'stops working', I just see on the pool the miner disconnected.

I connect via RDP and violla - it starts up instantly! Smiley Then I disconnect. Then it dies. In console, there's the following:

21:21:31 Total Speed: 11.01 G/s Fidelity: 0.993 Shares Accepted: 3973 Rejected: 5 Power: 725W 0.02 G/W
21:21:31 Uptime: 0d 18:14:37 Electricity: 13.222kWh $1.98
21:21:34 Connection Error: Write timed out
21:21:50 Connect to eu-west-stratum.grinmint.com:4416 Failed: No such host is known

21:21:52 Stopped Mining on GPU0
21:21:52 Stopped Mining on GPU1
21:21:52 Stopped Mining on GPU2
21:21:52 Stopped Mining on GPU3
21:21:52 Stopped Mining on GPU4
21:21:52 Stopped Mining on GPU5
21:22:06 Connect to eu-west-stratum.grinmint.com:4416 Failed: No such host is known
21:22:06 All user mining pools are unavailable
21:22:09 Miner terminated, watchdog will restart process after 10 seconds <--- miner keeps on restarting every 10 seconds without any further error message. It never starts.

Then I connect to RDP and boom, it instantly starts mining again. I don't have to restart the miner process by hand. Power profile is set to high performance. There are no sleeps, hibernates, power-downs, no "energy saving" features or anything like that.

It's not a connection issue, as I can always connect back to the machine via RDP. So the connection isn't 'asleep'. It's a ethernet connection, not a wifi.

Has anyone ever seen this behavior? It is a first time for me. It might be a bug in GMiner, but it's very very weird that it 'magically' comes back alive INSTANTLY when I connect via RDP when dead. Maybe some windows 'this proccess is using a lot of resources, so I'll pause it' feature? Or something like that? But as I said, I've never encountered anything like that.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you! Smiley

Miners, https://xdagpool.com and https://pool2.xdagpool.com were upgraded to new version of xdag, 0.2.4. Try it out, pool settings of 1%-0%-0%-1% bring the most consistent payouts for any miner, happy mining! Smiley

The pools run on a very fast reliable server. https://pool3.xdagpool.com will be updated soon.

Miners, we changed xdagpool.com fee structure to 1%-0%-0%-1%. This means no extra rewards for found blocks or direct block contributions, all miners (small and large) are paid equally independent of whether they contributed to a block or not. This gives the most consistent payouts. Happy mining! ;-)

Did the original dev of disappear?Who is the development now?XDAG is sure to be a new project for the next generation.Because there is no block efficiency, the operation efficiency has been greatly improved.

What is xdag providing compared to other coins? Developer left his own project and nobody knows to understand his code. Only to translate the code and doing small things like website design doensn't mean anything. In my opinion xdag it's not worth to be mined or to hold further. Holding means losing money as there are many other coins which are outperforming last days.
Every developer needs some time to understand the code and get familiar with the project when it is being handed over to him. We can't expect any new developer to have exactly the same mindset / knowledge about the code as cheatoshin0 had instantly, and yes the code is complex, but I believe it will be simplified in the future, and improved, and the fact that devs are committing translated comments, code style changes etc means at least they are LOOKING at the code, and analysing it, which is a great thing.

Dear miners,

xdagpool.com has moved to new DDoS protected server.

IP address is: 136.243.55.153

If you used our command line, and you are connecting to pool.xdagpool.com, PLEASE RESTART YOUR MINER!

If you are connecting directly to our old IP, 95.105.233.208, please UPDATE your miner command line and enter new IP: 136.243.55.153 and restart your miner!

New connections to old IP are redirected, old connections are kept. Please migrate as soon as possible!

Looking forward to see you on our new pool address! Smiley

cstate1 means if you mine, disconnect BEFORE the pool finds a block, and stay disconnected. When block is found, and you are not mining anymore, all your shares since the last paid block will be erased. That is the bug.

~~~<<<[[[ https://xdagpool.com ]]]>>>~~~
0.5% pool fee, 12% reward for connected miners, 7% reward for found block, 0.5% donation to community fund
Miners! We added detailed GPU instructions, check them out! ;-) When I say deatiled, I mean detailed. Anyone should be able to get their GPU miner up and running using our instructions. https://xdagpool.com/pages/setup/windows-gpu
Also nice copycat work from https://xdag.top. Even the home page flash message "New pool software was installed. HAPPY MINING! ;-)" was written by me few days ago and was copied Cheesy Our layout, wallet balance, everything, our CPU miner texts (which we have now updated), pool news at the bottom, simply a lot of stuff Cheesy
Design / texts aside, we are still the ONLY pool where you can register your miners and get miner down e-mail notifications, detailed balance and PAYOUTS that can be exported, detailed network, pool and user stats (graphs, earnings at our pool - we prefer to be transparent), leaderboard, anonymous profiles, not to mention high rewards and very low fees, so come check us out, spread the hash rate! ;-)
Regards,
kbs1 Smiley
How can I get my detailed PAYOUTS and hashrate? I mine on your pool a few days but see only zeroes everywhere in my stats...
Can you please private message me your e-mail or miner address? Thanks Smiley
