You can receive all erc20 tokens just by using a ethereum address of your wallet. To watch tokens in your wallet, you need also contract address of the tokens you receive
How does one get the contract address for OMG tokens received? Lets say if I send them from my Bittrex account?

But, personally, I'd say you missed this pump, wait until it's dumped again and buy in, then HOOOOOLD

I have seen some posts saying that they have received payment, but showing proof would make it ideal to prevent falling for the scam.

You'll be eating your words mister, Ethereum bubble did burst, but that doesn't take away from it's functionality, people just over-hyped it for their perverted pump&dump schemes. However, it's gaining traction with businesses as well as governments now, and it will be very useful in the medium to long-term (3-5 years).
I predict a year from now it'll be valued at least 10 times what it is now.
