Re: tdxminer lyra2z/XZC Miner for AMD GPUs on Linux

Could anybody post or give a link to detailed guide how to install ubuntu, install drivers and then download and run tdxminer please?
...
Then you have a new Folder called tdxminer.... open it. In zhis folder you need a .sh-file to use the miner too, there is no sh-file within the package. a SH-File is like a .BAT-File in Windows, you can edit it with Notepad or something like that.

So you can create a simple Doc, right Mouseclick, new document
In that you wrote ./tdxminer -a lyra2z -o stratum+tcp://eu1.fairmine.pro:4553 -u se345rwijhoseifglerkhfh -p c=BTC

-a is for th Algorithm you want to mine. -o is for the pool. -u is for your Walletadress. -p is for the Poolpasswort, if needed, mostly its only x. c is for the Short of the Coin, e.j. Bitcoin is BTC.

Save the file ,thats it.

Now you can doubleclick on the SH-File, Ubuntu ask what to do with that file-type, choose that Ubuntu schould use it as executable file. Now it will start as program everytime you click on it. Sometimes Ubuntu dont know a sh-file. Then open a Terminal in that folder, type chmod a+x FILENAMe.sh and press Enter. Then doubleclick the sh-file again.
Sh file doesnt work. I placed in it: "./tdxminer -a lyra2z -o stratum+tcp://eu1.fairmine.pro:4553 -u se345rwijhoseifglerkhfh -p c=BTC" and named it as RUN.sh. Then i tried to Open it with Run Software but nothing happens. What's wrong?
Then i tried to run " sudo ./tdxminer -a lyra2z -o stratum+tcp://eu1.fairmine.pro:
4553 -u se345rwijhoseifglerkhfh -p c=BTC" in the terminal. But it says @Failed to list OpenCL platforms.@
What's wrong? I installed ROCm 1.8.1 drivers and libjasson4 libraries before.

Hello Doctor
I have these cards on Asrock h110 13slots

2*Rx 560 4GB--------500    h/s
3*Rx 470 4GB--------670    h/s
3*Rx 470 8GB--------880    h/s
Rx 480 8GB----------1050   h/s
Rx 570 4GB-----------700    h/s

my hashrate dropping alot

its not intensity problem , ive tried alot of numbers with/without double_threads

swinging hashrate -20%

i set virtual memory 100 GB

Is it heavy-cryptonight? if so, how you got so good hashrate on rx 480 8Gb?
Could you share your config for rx 480 8Gb which gives 1050h/s please.
Did you use double threads? and what intensitiy?

Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin.
by

on 28/12/2017, 20:31:04 UTC
Hey. I noticed a strange thing while mining zcoin on miningpoolhub. For gtx 1070 pool displays hashrate closed to hashrate which ccminer displays: ccminer displays 1750kh/s, pool accepts 1600-1700kh/s. But for GTX 970 and GTX 1060 pool accepts only about 60% hashrate: ccminer displays 1100kh/s for GTX 970/1060 but miningpoolhub accept only about 700kh/s from each card. Could anybody explain what's wrong?
So i was forced to switch 970/1060 to equihash algo.

looks like i specified wrong algo because there is too high hashrate (24Mgh per 570)

Hello. I havent used any Linux before but trying to use nvOC for mining now. Was trying find answers on my questions in this thread but didnt find any. May be becasue i'm not good in english. So could anybody to help me:
1) I use ewbf miner. Sometimes i see that terminal says that gpu's utilization is zero and needs to restart. But i dont see what GPU has stopped and what reason (overlock or anything else). Was trying to find ewbf's logs but no luck. So where i can see ewbf's logs to check what GPUs was crushed because overlock?
2) How can i start mining manualy? Where ewbf miner placed? There is nothing in ewbf's folder
3) I use X Server to check GPU's overlocking. And there is core clocks looks like in MSI Afterburner (1800-1900Mhz for gtx 1070), but memory clocks are too large (8900-9000Mhz, MSI Afterburner displays 4400Mhz for same GPUs). Such big memory clocks is ok for ubuntu? Any other soft for checking Overlocking?
4) There are many different guides on narrow topics, helping to solve only some individual problems. But Is there the most complete and most detailed guide, how to configure everything from scratch and to be familiar as well as on windows?

It helped to make the graph normal. Just look at the graph how it changed Smiley
https://gyazo.com/603e7e8a4db2e2f52d2989c306dc2240
But actually it didnt help - i still earning 15% less than WTM displays.
There is an other problem now. The graph displays 2.1-2.2k hashrate instead 2.56k.
It displays more real hashrate before i set static diff. So i dont understand anything now.

i think i know how to fix it.
Just need to set static dif Smiley
minexmr.com is the first pool where i should do that
I'll report tomorrow about results. If it doesnt help then i'll be forced to disable devfee.

I mined ETN too. But all pools which i tried gave 10-15% less than WTM claimed. Also ETN price drops 10% every day. So every day i earned 12% less because pool and 10% less because price drop. 22% total. So i decided - ETN is not so profitable as WTM dispays. XMR is more stable.
Thank you very much anyway. You helped me a lot and you forced me to understand my problem deeper Smiley

So looks like the pool does not count the hash received after the devfee untill the nearest share found.
Wacko, which miner for AMD GPU can you recommend and which pool?

okay. I checked. There were no any found shares for 35minutes after devfee. That's time was displayed like 0h/s on the graph, but my rig worked and was getting the job just couldnt find any shares because too high difficulty.
from 12:10 to 12:45  "Job changed, drop current round" only
then only at 12:46 found share and my hashrate recovered...

2560h/s rig found a share every 6 minutes (diff 1000000 aprox)
2360h/s rig found a share every 5 minutes (diff 900000 aprox)
So 2360h/s found about 15% more shares than 2560h/s rig did.

Rig 2360h/s earns 14% more than Rig 2560h/s. How?
by

on 21/11/2017, 22:12:35 UTC
Hello.
I tested 2 small rigs on minexmr.com
Started both at same time, on the same pool, on the same internet line, but on different xmr wallets. Used same miner (claymore cryptonote 10.2)
First rig (rx 470 + rx 480 + rx 470) 2360h/s earned 0.04xmr for 24hours
Second rig (rx 580 x3) 2560h/s earned 0.035xmr for 24hours
Anybody could explain me how 2560h/s rig earned more than 14% less than 2360h/s Rig?
I was trying to understand it and checked workers graphs (check attachments). There is sometimes hashrate droped to 0 on second rig. I checked miners logs and there were no any diconnects. Just claymore mined dev fee at same time. Just a few seconds, but the graph looks like my rig didnt work for 10-15min every time. First rig worked with dev fee on too but there is no any drops to zero on the graph.
So i'll be happy if someone can explain me what's wrong with my second rig and how can i fix it to mine as good as first rig does.
I'm sorry for my english.
