So is this thread now as dead as Active Mining?  The cheerleaders got pregnant and skulked off to the invite-only trailer park known as #actm?
Even Ken doesn't drop by anymore, trolling crumbs' thread instead?
This is how it all ends?
Cry

Someone let me know what the class action starts.

I'm saying it is NOT AN INVESTMENT. They aren't even allowed to offer this kind of "investment" as a US based company without being SEC registered, filling reports, etc. Why do you think your "shares" are now waiting until ken can talk to his securities lawyer???  Guess what, almost none of you are accredited investors, even offering shares to the general public as they did should violate a number of SEC regulations. I understand the enthusiasm to be a part of something, but come on. Where are the financial docs? Where are the reports? Where are the contracts, shareholder agreements, dividend details, etc?

Lottery tickets would have been a better way to throw your money in a toilet. Lottery tickets are not investing, they are gambling. Btw, gambling is illegal or highly regulated in this country as well.

Honestly, I would've been significantly better off just going to the casino and blowing it at the high roller tables.  At least I would have gotten tons of comps.

Where is all the money coming from anyways?  It's like the bottomless bag of endless money that turns from just enough money for a single NRE on what is essentially an ASIC cloned from an FPGA to both a 55nm and 28nm fully custom chip.

Anyways, too late for Ken to run now that he's being watched.

I can not stress enough how damaging this is becoming.

If you call a bunch of Drama Queens getting over-excited 'damaging' then you might be right.

How is it not damaging when long term supporters start switching sides?  I'm a ball hair away from doing just that and trust me, you don't want me and crumbs on the same team.  At this moment in time I'm ready to write off my investment as a total loss and only Ken can prevent that from happening.  Fortunately I am not over invested however it would be a enormous blow.

Ken's selective approach to PR is questionable at best.  It's downright dishonest and misleading at worst.  We need answers right now.

Why are we not trading?

Because Ken never planned on getting the shares traded again.  Or he has some announcement why it took several months to get us trading again.  Whereas that announcement will never get going because the idea being that announcement will be replaced by something better.  Repeat until the end of eternity.

Ken--- Start verification of shares now.

Ken --- How far along is the program you claim you are writing to do this?

Ken --- What are you doing all Sunday?

Ken --- What are you waiting for?  Start trading now.

Difficulty keeps rising and the only thing Active Mining produces is excuses.

Ever consider your audience too small?

What a total tit.

Excuses?  They don't even give exuses.  Just rainbows and sunshines.  There aren't even excuses for the failures, just more mindless good press out of no where when shit is going bad.

I'm pretty sure I could find a punch card operator that could have distributed the shares by now.

So yes, we didn't start hashing when we'd hoped. Yes ken is pissing a lot of people off with shares (not getting trading sorted and dumping a tonne of shares at super low prices) - but things really are ONLY bleak if NOTHING ever happens. I'm of the feeling and understanding that with the engineering team and the tapeout of 55nm, the chance of "nothing" happening is... nil

Ah, yes.  The tapeout.  Reminds me of "shipping this week".

Just as it seemed Ken was starting to take this company some where he throws this 20nm garbage out. This is the first time in this whole fiasco I have actually thought this could be a scam.

Promise, promise promise - missed deadlines, missed deadlines, missed deadlines.

@Ken please try to achieve something tangible before you shoot for the moon.

At this point I feel like Ken and family are one of two sets of people: scammers or scammers that are attempting to produce a product because they didn't think anyone would be able to figure out what their identities are.

Weekly Update 2/5/2013

This last week has been very busy with our Project manager and engineers working with eASIC on our 28nm custom chip.  We have receive the first results back and the chip is expected to run at 30 GH/s, we are working on improving this number.  Also, we have received the quote on our PCIe board and our project manager and engineers are meeting with eASIC and our board engineers this week to keep our project on track.  We are also meeting with UMC to finalize our account setup.  We are also thinking about going to a 20nm custom chip and skipping the 28nm, if we can get it produced fast enough.

totally meaningless drivel. switching processes increases risk and cost, and changes some of the fundamentals of electronics engineering.

to say 30GH on a chip is also meaningless. KNC, Cointerra, Hashfast all created big-die chips that are capable of 10x that per chip, but use less chips. The important number is how many GH in how small a space

That's why it's kind of laughable how much real estate ActiveMining needs for 10TH/s at the moment.  KNC's Neptune will run 3TH/s out of 2.6 cubic feet, rounded up slightly.

I can't be the only person that started scratching my head when it's announced that 10.488TH/s takes up 2 42u racks according to Ken.  I know each of my racks takes up between 45-50 cubic feet depending on which rack we're talking about.  I have 2 empty racks at the moment but why would I fill them up with 10.488TH/s when I can just buy three Neptunes that I could literally put on my desk?

Regardless, all this information is useless until there's less mindless announcement being spouted out and real chips being produced with real world figures.

That's kind of scary seeing so little volume with the share price at 0.0005 for nearly 24 hours.  I don't even want to think about what the bottom is going to be when that built up tension gets released of people wanting to get out.

interj

I agree we should have our shares back by now but that is not the issue I've been talking about.

If you want do ensure this company has the best chance of paying back the shareholder div of 0.0025 then selling these shares now to guarantee the company gets its assets back is the ONLY logical step to take.

Any shred of proof that the company is legitimately making progress rather than just trying to buy time would cause them to be instantaneously sold at this price.  100 BTC is a raindrop in the ocean for 0.0025 dividends.  At this point, people are just picking up Ukyo's tab held by Ken before the firesale of shares held by the public.

So are you planning on using the same arrangement for the cases?  A case with six 30.4GH/s cards (sixteen 1.9GH/s chips each) and 6 expansion cases with 16 cards with a total of roughly 3TH/s across 28u?

Too many of the posts in this thread are really nothing more than counting chickens before they are hatched.

Sure, it's called forward-looking profit analysis - or something like that. All start-ups with public offerings need to be examined along the same lines. You have not invested in an established company or project here. That's why there was an IPO. If you look at Friedcats's new project with anything other than 'chicken/hatch' eyes you'd be wrong because every new chip project is a new egg in this cutting-edge tech market.

A few facts go a long way - we have the funds to produce the chips we intend producing and we have two chips on the way with production assigned to two different global entities. The chances of success are very high. There is no known stumbling block in our way with the 55nm chip (already taped) and the 28nm is under the same design-team who have already produced a taped out ASIC.

The other fact is that we have had a delay with our 28nm ASIC. That's not unique in this industry. We have reacted tio that delay by upgrading this 28nm to full custom design creating a far more efficient ASIC. So to counter your saying I'll offer - one step back, two steps forward.

Do we have chips on the way or are we going to be told 3 months from now that the RTL/PCB design/etc was botched again?  I won't believe there's actually a product on the way until there's at least one shred of proof other than press releases at this point.

How long after CT setup will the accrued dividends be payed out? And how much is it per share at the moment?

Currently publicly known balance is roughly 55 BTC, or 0.0000055 per share.  These have been accruing since the last week of October.  Current rate is less than 5BTC a month to be split between 10M shares, or less than 0.0000005 per share per month.  We're not that many retargets away from making less than a Satoshi per week, per share.

I had better return from Labcoin...  Cheesy

So did I.  I figured we would have had a turn-on of at least 24TH/s by now if the project ended up being successful.  At this point, February looks like a wash for launch and March launch turns into a mining failure unless Intellihash is a time machine that is able to hash at a difficulty several months in the past.

Yep Uyko's shares, part of the 10Mill and if Uyko had them he'd probablly be desperate for BTC and selling them himself for 0.0025.

So ken puting them at 0.01 is doing us no harm whatsoever.

You think he's actually going to sell any for .01?  Of course not.
My prediction : He will keep lowering that price until he sells them.  Watch.

I would love to sell my shares for 0.01 each.  Unfortunately, I don't see it happening until we have proof of something.

Maybe I missed it because I just skimmed the pages.

Is there any physical proof of this?   Namely pictures of the unit that includes pictures of the actual real-world hashrate or at least a pool account we can look at?

Ken just isn't good enough when it comes to the whole area of communication and surely it's about time a paid professional was hired who could manage all the PR completely, leaving Ken to deal with the engineering.

So we've established that Ken's not good enough an engineer to be effective.
He also isn't good enough as a communicator.
What, exactly, did you invest in?

Hopes and dreams.
