Banning an ico is always bad for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.  It may confused other people the Bitcoin is also scam and not to be trusted.  The government should filter only those scam Ico and are using ponzi schemes.

Law of supply and demand.  if no one is buying,  then the demand will be low and the price will go downwards.  That is why we need to push that Bitcoin be used a mode of payment in merchants like fiat so the demand and supply will be stable

Re: Bitcoin Are Now Used in Crimes

Criminals are taking advantage of the bitcoin's anonymity feature.  one example of this,  is used on Child pornography.  Hackers and criminals are using bitcoin as a mode of payment for their transaction becaus bitcoin trans are anonymous and they cant trace the users. This is thw same with illegal drugs transactions.

Re: New ICOs everywhere, What's your take on them?
by
kenkoy
on 01/11/2017, 12:10:26 UTC
Its a trend now. Initial coin offering,  crowdsale,  some are legit.  Legit when their whitepaper is good,  the theam behind the product is searchable and with good track records. Usually,  a good ico is when the team behind it is already investing money on it. The purpose and functions are precise and relevant. Sadly,  there are still ICOs released today who are scam and using ponzi schemes to attract investors.

I think the government should focus their effort on filtering this scam ICO as this is making bad impact on cryptocurrency in general.

Re: What happen for people who does not support Segwit2X?
by

on 01/11/2017, 11:45:35 UTC
A lot international Bitcoin communities are said to be rejecting the 2x segwit.  They are expecting that the original Bitcoin will be managing its own after the segwit2x. They thought this will be the same outcome with the last fork happened on august.

Re: “International Bitcoin Communities” Rejecting SegWit2x
by

I expect this to happen. Many of the BTC investors are converting their Alts to BTC, expecting that BTC can manage its own after the fork. They believe that this fork will be the same on what happened with the last fork on August. Though, Bitcoin cash is doing fine. The BTC is still stable and he price is still surging. This may be one factor while a lot of international BTC communities are rejecting the segwit2x.

Re: First China Now South Korea
by

There are China, Russia, and South korea to ban Bitcoin exchanges. However, there are also other countries who are putting their foot ahead on Bitcoin, US, Switzerland, Aussie, and now IRAN. https://news.bitcoin.com/iranian-government-bitcoin-use/

That is why the Bitcoin value is not really turning down the slope as there are countries who appreciate the potentials of Bitcoin. If you are skeptic about Bitcoin, then dont invest on it. Investing on Bitcoin needs a lot discipline to control your emotions as value is not always high. BTC market is very volatile.

This is always expected as another Billionaire throws away negative views on Bitcoin. We can this maybe another FUD to turn the Bitcoin value down as we can see that BTC value today is surging. And they need to take advantage of it.

Re: Why ETHER is not moving any where?
by

on 31/10/2017, 10:41:04 UTC
Many ICOs released today are ETH based.  As the fork is coming, many alts are transferred to BTC. That is why most alts value today are low and red. ETH is a promising cryotocurrency and is expected to surge in the future. Let us wait after the fork, and see if ETh will live up to its expectation.

Re: Government regulation of bitcoin
by
kenkoy
on 31/10/2017, 10:27:05 UTC
Positive side, government regulating bitcoin is a good sign to end any skepticism about Bitcoin not being legit and scam. Acceptance can turn other skeptical people to finally invest on digital currencies. With Bitcoin as the pioneer Cryptocurrencies and will it be regulated, other people may turn their interest also on new ICOs. Though, govt should focus monitoring the scam ICOs. USually, ponzi schemes.

One negative side, is that government should set their clear cut guidelines to monitor Bitcoin transactions. As the govt should not interfere with the anonymity of BTC transactions.

Re: Bitcoin to eliminate unemployment.

Bitcoin will never save one's life especially unemployment. Bitcoin is an investment. In order for you to survive, one should need to find a work or business to earn. You can say that some people can earn through Bitcoin, but one should not be contented to that as the crypto market is volatile.

Re: Why most bitcoin users from good economies countries?
by
kenkoy
on 31/10/2017, 10:05:41 UTC
We all know that Bitcoin today is mostly used for investment only. Buying and Holding. There are few merchants who accept BTC as payment. This is logical as third world countries prefer paper money rather than digital currency to pay their basic commodities. Digital currency investment is the last thing they think of, food and other basic commodities should come first. Countries with good economies are open minded on digital currency improvement as they have spare money to let go. just my 2 scents.

Mining of BTC is not that easy. yes, the rigs should be up to date. There are a lot of competitors . If you are a passive investor, then buying and holding BTC is the only way for you to generate income on BTC. If you need to add funds to BTC, then there are signature and bounty campaigns in this forum to earn BTC. Go also for a freelancing works that pays BTC so you can earn as well.

The price of bitcoin is still surging because of the upcoming fork. Investors believe BTC will manage its own after the fork. So, some are turning their alts to BTC. So yes, other alts and BCH value are low today as this is one of the factors.

I hope the SECs will be making clear cut guidelines on how will they regulate crytocurrency transactions. I hope they won't interfere with the anonymity of bitcoin transaction as this is the advantage of crypto in our market today. They need to focus their effor on regulating ICOs that are releasing today. Some are scams and ponzi schemes.

Is there any company that is in the healthcare space that went ICO yet? How are they performing?
if you are looking for healthcare based ICO, then look for patientory. This company has potentials. Patientory is looking to ensure secure data transmission via blockchain and smart contracts. Their ICO is already done. They raised $7.2 million USD (based on current ETH value)
