This is perfect, thank you for the forthright explanation and all the hard work trying to keep things up and running Desp and Dev team.

Is there a donation/tip method?

Here you can see why
https://forum.ultranote.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=90

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all the work that the dev team is doing - I'm sure it is a ton! However I'm don't feel like an explanation has been put forth on this hashrate issue. We've been told that nicehash has been eliminated, but are still seeing irregularities in block discovery rates and hash rate (static global hash rates for hours, etc).

I'd like the following simple answers

Are we expecting a consistent ~2 min/block found or not?
If not, can the dev team elaborate why not?
If so, then why isn't that happening? Perhaps we have a scaling issue or haven't been able to triage yet. If so that's OK but I need transparent explanations.

Not unhappy, but worried about several hours without blocks.
And worried because interested in this good coin XUN.

Yes, More blocks been found now, and you are still not happy!!!

Really? 37 blocks with a reward of about $80 worth of XUN coins don't pay a day mining?

37 blocks found in 24 hours. Doesn't pay even the electricity! Angry

Well, no blocks for almost 14 hours, suddenly 25 blocks straight in less than an hour, but now the blockchain seems to be stucked at #33871 again, we don't know for how long.
Could be profitable anyway, but that's not what we miners expect, though.

I checked in tonight - no blocks found for 7 hours  Huh

Is it solo mining?

They get many blocks by suddenly increasing hashrate.
It looks like I'm stopping the block here
but sometimes they are taking a lot of blocks.
Meanwhile, pool miners can not earn rewards.

cryptonight mining always see.

That's what I was looking at - something didn't seem right - we had 9 hours between block found? Maybe I don't understand - I thought difficulty raised to keep block rate at near constant level. I didn't expect high difficulty to result in that magnitude of block discovery slow down - maybe I misunderstand something?

We have no port open for nicehash. Also we don't support it and always asks the pool owners to close it.
Some of the big miners still need to mine on a higher difficulty due to their rigs.

need block nicehash

I'm not clear then - why is block explorer showing no blocks found?

There is no nicehash traffic on the pools now.

You shouldn't stop mining, even if the difficulty is high and you are not finding blocks the pool will keep accepting your shares and this will be added to your reward when a new block found. If you stop then you will not have any shares from the reward.

As for now you may see the difficulty have got higher you will also notice that block reward have been going up so for some blocks the rewards were 1200-1400 coins per block. This way above the normal block rewards which is 150 coins.

Here comes the dynamic block reward as I told you before

I hate Nicehash. They enter and leave when they feel like it and leave everything shitty

I just repoint to XMR while Nicehash is doing their thang - I'll repoint to XUN once things settle down.

Seems like there are some folks that are super disappointed the initial exchange listing didn't have a huge price so they could dump - some points to remember

IMO the problem right now isn't the sell price, its that he buy/trade volume on the exchange is very small (less than .2 BTC, 2000 USD). That volume isn't going to magically go up by miners asking for higher price. I don't think the above is a flaw of this coin, but the coin is only 30 days old and needs promotion. The devs cannot do this alone - we need community help. Folks are going to need to have some patience and help on promo.
