How to make an exchange
by
kenw232

Hi, I want to make a crypto exchange.  I can handle everything except how the server side automates user's wallet addresses.  For example when I want to transfer ETH into my exchange account, the exchange assigns my a unique address for this.  But this is an on-chain address.  How does it do this?  Are there PHP/ASP libraries that facilitate all these extra addresses for all the users?  Is there a single command line wallet exchanges uses that works under linux and can be scripted to do this automation?  I just don't know how to connect a user with a set of personal deposit addresses.

Beware currency.com

If anyone care do NOT use this site.  https://currency.com/

Its a scam, their using some non-sense policy of forcing people to show them stupid screenshots of a wallet address somehow connected to your email address which can't really happen.  How many email addresses are assigned to a crypto address?  None. its bullshit used as an excuse to keep your money.

Huge scam.

Thanks, I didn't know about DGX.  All I knew about was PAXG and XAUT.

Where to trade gold?

Anyone know a GOOD place to trade gold?  I simply want to buy gold (or silver) at the spot price with USDT or TUSD.   Everywhere has large spreads like PAXG on Binance, or has no liquidity and bots like XAUT on Bitfinex.

are people that are holding EOS ERC20 tokens in an ERC20 wallet suppose to do something?  I registered the address before the june 1 cutoff, can I get my real EOS tokens now that the mainnet is up?  am I suppose to vote?  do I loose value if I don't vote?  I'm concerned I'm not suppose to just sit on my EOS tokens in this ERC2 wallet because I might be somehow be loosing value.. ?

Re: Leveraged bitcoin trading?

You will not find a service that offers margin trading without margin calls. These two are mutually dependent.

Yes, I know.  Thats why I don't want margin trading.  Thats why I asked about leveraged trading.  They are different.  Cut offs would never happen.  A leveraged trade can goto 0 and no one cares except me because I lost all my money.  Thats what I was hoping might be available for Bitcoin trading from somewhere.  I think Whaleclub is leveraged actually, just high fees.

Leveraged bitcoin trading?
by

on 16/11/2017, 19:53:23 UTC
Can anyone recommend a good exchange to buy leveraged bitcoin?  I do not mean margin trading.  I do not want want to borrow money to buy more bitcoin and have to pay interest and worry about a cut off price (eg. BTC drops to less then 50% of your trade its auto-sold).  I want leverage.  Like a 3X ETF, it can goto to $1 and I'll still hold my position and pay no interest.  Broke, yes, obviously.

Any recommendations?

Bitcoin Gold coin checker confusion?
by
kenw232
on 14/11/2017, 03:51:09 UTC
Can someone explain the Bitcoin gold coin checker on their web site now?  I goto https://bitcoingold.org/,  enter the public key of my Exodus wallet I had BTC in when it forked, and the web site says there is a BTG balance 0.93669942.  How do I get this?  Is this correct?

Note I just went through the process of claiming an expected 2.5 BTG with Coinomi and it worked fine.  Why does the web site still say there is .9366.. BTG associated with the public hash?

Bitcoin Gold token release date?

So I held BTC in my Exodus wallet during the hard fork.  When will the BTG tokens be available to people like me?  seems their web site is down right now.

And how can I claim and get my tokens? I plan on doing this:

1) Send the BTC I do have in the exodus wallet to an exchange
2) Export the private keys from exodus
3) Import the private keys into a wallet that does support BTG
4) See the new BTG there and send it to a different exchange.

that ok you think?  what am I missing?

Re: How to go short BTC on bitfinex?

yes, but again, I have the money to buy the BTC which I then want to turn around and sell short to someone.  how do I use the BTC I have to short?  its like I'm forced to borrow whenever I short.  why?  do I short on margin then CLAIM right away?  but I still pay a lending fee, for what? 30 seconds while I click CLAIM?  maybe I don't understand it well enough.

How to go short BTC on bitfinex?
by
kenw232
on 20/08/2017, 19:46:02 UTC
How does someone short bitcoin on Bitfinex without getting rapped with the margin interest rates?  I mean I have $10,000 USD.  I want to short 2 BTC x1 (no leverage).  Why in the hell do I have to borrow BTC to short it when I can clearly afford the entire short position?   I mean I pay .2% to buy on margin and .2% to sell on margin, so I loose like half my profit if the trade is a quick one.

Anyone know?

whaleclub (https://trade.whaleclub.co/signin) wasn't bad.  but execute a leveraged trade on ETH and the spread (2.2% for ETH) is x5 too so its like an immediate 10% loss just to open a position.  stupid.

there has to be something thats decent? no?

Recommend a good exchange
by
kenw232
on 18/07/2017, 22:08:19 UTC
I just got screwed by Kraken.  I shorted bitcoin, then entered a BUY/Stop Loss and it hit but did not fill.  the stop loss was ignored.  they offered me some KFEE ($50) nonsense as an apology but this is bullshit.  How the hell can I trade if it doesn't work.

Can someone recommend a good trading platform that lets me short BTC and ETH, and maybe DASH?

Thanks.

But I don't want to hold BTC (or whatever coin) to short it.  Here I am on Kraken trying to short DASH.  It says I have insufficient funds when I have like $10K for a $1274 trade.  Why does this happen?  Why can't I sell short a coin like DASH or BTC?

can someone recommend a good exchange where I can hold US dollars and short BTC with it?  seems to be difficult to do for some reason.
