Hi everyone,
I'm here because for the first time I'm trying to mine with claymore 11.8.
But unfortunately it crash on startup.
i had put my ethereum wallet address on start.bat.

ethDcrminer64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal "my address" -epsw x

before crashing on the screen it says:

ETH 2 pool are specified
Main ethereum pool is eu1.ethermine.org:4444
DCR: 0 Pool is specified

my system is:

z270gt6
intel celeron g3930
4gb ram
ssd120 gb
MSI gtx 1060 6gb OC

I already changed the paging file at 36000MB

updated Motherboard bios

downloaded and set MSI afterburner with:

POWER LIMIT: 65%
temp limit 85degrees not connected to power limit
CORE CLOCK 0
MEMORY CLOCK 480
FAN SPEED AUTO

any suggestion is welcome :-)

thank you in advance!!!!

Copy\paste log file here.
Are you mining on windows or Linux? if windows what is the windows version?

are you using RDP to manage rigs? I had this problem with RDP
I use teamviewer, and this happens even when im not using it.

enable motherboard graphic card and see if the problem goes away

I support for the reduction in mining fee. @Claymore please consider reducing your fee to .5
@Other miners, review the following and vote for the mining fee reduction to .5

RWTeam presents ...

"Claymore's Dual Ethereum + Decred/Siacoin/Lbry/Pascal/Blake2s/Keccak AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner 11.7 / 11.8"

... half-fee edition

In this edition devfee is mined every 2 hours instead of every 1 hour in original version, so effective defvee % is 0.5% in single mining mode and 0.75% in dual mining mode.

Download link:

https://mega.nz/#F!nrwxDYZK!gxHKJvukNUvEH9xh4V4gGg

You can check integrity of files in archives with QuickSFV tools, point it to RWTeam.md5 from corresponding archive.

There are 2 windows versions available now, 11.7 and 11.8. Linux versions are 90% ready too, we will release them after more testing.

_______________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________

Why have we made this release? We believe that Claymore must reduce his devfee % because current devfee % already gave him enough money to build
colony on Mars. We will show you 1 of his devfee wallets (there are 10 devfee wallets, miner randomly chooses one of them during devfee).

0xc1c427cD8E6B7Ee3b5F30c2e1D3f3c5536EC16f5

Look here:

https://etherscan.io/address/0xc1c427cD8E6B7Ee3b5F30c2e1D3f3c5536EC16f5

https://ethermine.org/miners/c1c427cD8E6B7Ee3b5F30c2e1D3f3c5536EC16f5/dashboard

http://dwarfpool.com/eth/address?wallet=0xc1c427cD8E6B7Ee3b5F30c2e1D3f3c5536EC16f5

Just one devfee address receives about 15-20 eth per day. Don't forget that this address is also ETC and EXP address at the same time.

Then multiply this amount by 10 (all of 10 devfee wallets evenly get same amount of coins because thousands of miners randomly mine devfee there).

So what we get - average Joe miner gets 1 ETH per month and Claymore gets at least 4500 ETH per month (and we don't count ETC and EXP). And they've told us
about "honest coins distribution", about "decentralisation".. "crypto is about freedom, equality".. Yeah, right.

What do we get from this release? Don't worry about some hidden malware and so on, nothing like that. We've changed 2 of 10 devfee wallets to our own ones. So with our release everybody are happy: miners will pay less devfee (only half!), we will have some chance to earn some little amount of coins too, and Claymore will still get enough money to buy his 3rd yacht  Wink

After long time one of my AMD cards crashed.

I had -tt 55 -fanmin 55 -fanmax 85

And log crashed shows me that fan was 0

I suspect that temperature was too high (though was night) like 58-60 degrees and having fanmax 85 coupled with undervot made the miner crash. Is it possible ?

well, it can be anything, not just temperature
The best way to find the cause is to go through the logs, just before the crash and see what caused GPU crash.

It's only an extra 70w of power to dual mine Decred, but I think I may bin it off.

Cheers for the heads up chaps

I thought Decred already has ASIC, so it is not so profitable for GPU mining.

Yip, Decred is not profitable for dual mining, but if you have really cheap or free electricity then go for it

What do you guys suggest now?

I was ETH + SIA then the ASIC bomb hit, I'm ETH and DECRED now but that's pretty poor.

Maybe LBRY?
Don't expect mad extra profit from dual mining. Do expect more heat from extra power consumption.

It's still doable but I really don't see a point in it - there are coins that give you more profit and take less power than dual mining.

"there are coins that give you more profit and take less power than dual mining".. likee.....?

Gotta make that research my mate Wink! Little hint: the coin I'm mining right now cannot be found on whattomine and AMD is better choise for it Wink

agree with that, if the coin hits whattomine, profitability is gone as ppl just simply jump on and mine! better look for coins which are not listed in whattomine yet

if you want cloud mining

the best is

https://hashflare.io/
https://www.genesis-mining.com

all other cloud mining is scam

the better you buy gpus and start mining at your home all profit go to you

cloud mining is not profitable. If you want to mine get hardware and set up your own equipment

How do set email notification ?

i tried the below it dont work

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal address/worker -epsw email@gmail.com

two ways to set email notification

1) set it up on the pool, if the pool supports
2) Use "Claymore eth dual miner manager", go to options -> notifications -> define SMTP settings, go to events and define what notifications do you want to receive

And what the OS support this number of cards ?
I think there is no way fr windows os

you can run these many on Windows, I have seen up to 19 on windows but the trick is to get mining cards with normal GPUs and they go in specific order.

v11.8:

- fixed issue with missed GPU temperatures when miner is started via Remote Desktop Connection (RDC).
- Linux version: removed libcurl library dependency.
- added "-showdiff" option.
- a few minor bug fixes and improvements.

Thanks Claymore
Tested on my rigs, works fine. All my rigs are windows 10 (1709). I don't RDC.
-showdiff works sweet.
No improvement in hashrate

Anyway, I will release new version in a few days, Linux version will work properly in latest Ubuntu too.
how about that?

I will release new version in 1-3 days.

Claymore v11.7 dual mine keccak it easily hit -tstop 70 in 10-15 minutes whilst been fine tuning -mclock from 2130 down to 1900 without luck. Mining with DCR was not an issue though. Is this a bug?

What is dcri value are you using?
what is minimum and max fan speed?
I mine using Keccak, 6 or 7 dcri value and 60% max speed works fine for me
My temp range 60-67
if you are located in a hotter place, change max fan speed to 80 or 90%

Do u still dual mine? Look like most of dual  mineable alts got ASICS treatment.
yes I do, but you gotta keep an eye on the market and switch to low difficulty coins

I'm a newbie in mining working world. Which mining system is more profitable??
Mining rig or Mining machine like antminer.
Which is better??

Prons & Cons of both system.
ASICs are more profitable but riser is higher on these devices.

Hello experts

Could someone please advise on what command line arguments I can use to mine on only 2 Nvidia cards out of 13 total cards(6 AMD+7 Nvidia)

I am trying to use ccminer for the first time

My rig configuration

13 GPUs (7 Nvidia & 6 AMD)
I am planning to use only 2 Nvidia cards for ccminer to mine altcoins and leave rest to claymore to mine dual coins

so claymore would mine on 6 (AMD) + (0 - 5) Nvidia cards

Use:
ccminer-x64.exe --help
to see all the options
You would end up using:
ccminer-x64.exe -n
to list devices and their number, then use -d with the desired numbers, like:
ccminer-x64.exe -d 0,4
and add the rest of your options to the command

Awesome thank you

Also, I am looking to set
1) minimum\max fan speed or static fan speed
2) OC settings for 1060, that would be 600 memory clock and 100 core clock
3) power limit, like in MSI afterburner I use 65 what would be the value of --plimit here
