You haven't mentioned what are you doing in studies?

Let me make it simple for you to try.

If you're creating a blockchain of some kind, try with class evaluations such as tests and other observatory grading systems that are done periodically in every school/college. Record it in blockchain. That's a simple one to implement and you can learn a lot from that.

Re: Is there an interest for reddit upvotes?
by

Hey guys

I'm thinking of opening an automatic website service where you can buy reddit upvotes/downvotes with bitcoins for any post or comment.
I can also post your content to any subreddit from high karma accounts (3000 - 4000) for maximum score.

Is there an interest for this kind of service? If yes, how much would you pay for 10 - 20 - 50 upvotes?
I am a member of addmefast and fanslave and very active clicker but none of them offer a reddit upvotes it is going to be well receive once you started up one but you need to be careful because reddit is a very strict community and they hate all form of spamming once they detect this kind of service they might counter it

Well said. You can't shit reddit. Reddit has multi-level mod system that can easily detect upvote spamming. That will lead to the content poster or the redditor who posted the thread gets banned or shadow-banned. However, organically upvoting won't get into trouble. Trigger out a way to organically upvote it. And for sure, you will.

All these 27 visualizations ideas are tremendous and very useful for me. I have an intention to try to create an visualization on my own. But I differed it a long time ago. After seeing this list I got much interest to add it to my To do list. Thanks for listing that on github and also posting here. I will also notify if I find any other than there are not listed.

Become a merchant to anyone of the merchant service providers and integrate their API to your website, if you have a serious business with your website. Some are coinpayments, gocoin, bitpay.

If you're implementing a wordpress blog, then you can use woocommerce wordpress plugin which easily adds bitcoin as payment and also more payment options.

And simply you just include your bitcoin address, if you're directly communicating with the visitors or buyers of your site.

Re: Replace-By-Fee: A Counter Argument
by

Any bitcoin enthusiast and supporter might always say "There is a big problem with Paypal - the charge back issue". While Paypal stays the world's largest merchant supported virtual payment network. Merchants are widely supporting it. Bitcoin has the major advantage of the non-reversal of the payment. So, it is better than Paypal. RBF may alter this to some extent. But still even if RBF is adapted, wide support of bitcoin won't stop. However, I don't want RBF.

Re: Is the following idea possible in Bitcoin's Script?
by

It is not solvable with the current OP_ commands we have. Core level implementation is mandatory to make it possible. If you really think it is vital to have such comparisons, then you need to make it happen. I would prefer if you would award a bounty, then many will try to write the code. It will be possible. Nothing can be said impossible in the bitcoin era.

Why should we prioritize transactions with RBF? All bitcoins are equally valid. And all of them are mathematically processed the same way. I totally disagree with RBF concept. Bitcoin has a good year of 2016. There will be lot of implications are going to happen in this year. Many top chairs will relocate themselves for sure.

I hope this article may help you to open the closed port 8333. http://www.pcworld.com/article/244314/how_to_forward_ports_on_your_router.html

Also, there is a reddit discussion page in detail, I can't remember the link to that thread. Try to search in reddit. If I find it right, I will update here.

ISP's won't block any ports unless until it is intentionally blocked. You don't need to check with ISP until you thoroughly try with your router and os firewall.

Re: Browser as a node - Technically Possible ?
by
kiblirov
on 13/01/2016, 15:18:47 UTC
Basics of a Node
1. The entire blockchain is stored on the node itself.
2. It consumes less power

Basics of a Browser
1. A browser is just a front end visualizer to the user.
2. It uses very less resources to store values in the form cookies.

A browser in my aspect can't be a node, as a plugin can't handle a blockchain. If the entire blockchain is stored in the computer where the browser is installed, then the qt itself can act as a node. Why do we need a browser to act as a node?

So, it is not possible to make browser a node. There is no possible for a light weight node in terms of memory usage.

Nice to hear you're running 0.12. It might get released by Feb 1 2016. And even there are more releases after 0.12. If your wallet is fine and secure, you don't need to worry about the version you use. It is much more important that you can send and receive funds flawlessly whatever version you have. Also ensure it is secure enough.
