I haven't seen any regulation that can necessarily kill the market. But i think fear of even stricter regulation may be having its impacts.

Also according to what i know, a lot of countries have become a lot more serious regarding tax collection, which may have put off some people.

I'm not going to recommend 5 coins. But i'll give you one which dipped quite a lot and imho has immense potential which is Modum. Look into it

I admire your effort, and your reasoning. But i struggle the moment you say the most important point in trust is that someone one the team belonged to a government organisation.
Aren't governments usually aimed as a pit of corruption? Sure you might be on the right side of that corruption to make profit, but i don't think that's a valid point for trust.

Alt market may still dip a bit further, but from what has been seen so far i would say it's a really good time to buy many alts.
Regulations can still hurt the market, so it's your choice if you want to wait for that possibility to buy in.

If you wan't to buy any coin, and i mean any coin, which coin are going to trade for it? Well what about the percentage of people who are going to do the same thing? I'm not going to risk any number but i would bet it would be quite high.

You can make a possible valid point that it shouldn't be that way, but it is. And that's a huge use case. So saying bitcoin is useless seems like a bit of a stretch.

Were not on hysteria right now i think. Unless some lone wolves are manipulating price, i find it very unlikely a lot of dumb people subconsciously agreed they should all place their hard earned money on a couple of trash coins, just saying.

These price fluctuations only occur because there is so little currency in crypto compared to fiat. Flip the tables and you would get a different scenario.

My brother showed me this coin a couple of days ago, and we found that thing so funny we ended up reading the entire white paper(it's pretty small).

A lot of services go on extended maintenances, i recognize people immediately jump to the conclusion of hax because of all the stories the crypto world has. But chill people please.

Unless something incredibly massive happens, i don't see even all this fud shaking the most hardcore hodlers, and that's talking about the market. If we're talking about the technology, i honestly don't see that happening in any scenario

I admit my knowledge of most of those coins isn't that big, but i would suggest having at least a bit of your portfolio on other coins like BTC(ofc), Neo... you know the usual coins.

I would say yes, but on the other hand i also think that with tighter regulations it might get ugly for some alts. Research well into a bunch of alts, watch a lot of videos on youtube, basically get a sense of what's going on.
And then decide if you still want to invest and on what. You have to realize a lot of people might give you certain coin names, but what if they're actually holding those coins?
It's your money, you decide what to do with it.

There's a couple of security measures you can do to increase the safety of leaving your coins there, but if they're not being used for trading i would highly recommend you store it in their respective wallets.
