COMM is proving to be the fairest distributed coin so far, applications are rigorously reviewed and validated.

Huh Where does it say it is open again? Looks closed to me.

When I go to http://communitycoin.info/apply/ there was a message that registration was already met the number required. Then today when I woke up I checked the page again hoping I could still get in. I have already completed all steps except the apply form last night.

This coin made me realize that giving out coins for free is not always the best way to go no matter how fair the distribution is. Easy to acquire, easy to let go. I can only imagine what will happen to Auroracoin once airdrop is implemented.

Hi Guys,

We are pleased to announce the distribution of Faircoin is over.
45 addresses were invalid, so if someone didn't get his coins, Send us your token and a new address and we'll check it.

In the meantime you can contact exchanges (even in China, we don't speak Chinese), and of course vote:

POLONIEX:
http://poloniex.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/1000017039

MINTPAL:
https://www.mintpal.com/voting

CRYPTSY:

BTC ADDRESS:

Faircoin Team

Hi guys
We decided to focus on Mintpal,
We have 5K votes, but that's not enough, please vote.

Thanks

Dev,

while I appreciate your efforts, I believe the coin needs even more development. You have a bounty for games/services? USE IT.

Right now Faircoin looks like the ultimate Pump n' Dump coin.

This is not how it should be.

I agree. Looks like everyone's itching to get the coins to better exchanges to dump. Sad.

WAIT ... SO DEV !
are you going on the record here saying that my wallet NEVER/DID NOT receive 1 million coins at launch and after registering the code the coins disappeared?

Hey NJRiot,
Have you already tried to search for that transaction in BlockExplorer?
If not, go to http://162.243.224.140:1080/ and enter your wallet address (the one you received the 1 Mil coins on) and see if the transaction is found.
Please let me/us know.
TKS.

BE's were altered buy dev because he controlled it and distribution ... but doesn't matter to me!
I have got all the proof .. please pm me and well do a team viewer on my rig and I will show you!
and well end this once and for all ... time to expose the dev as a complete liar!
I gave him plenty of time to be honest with me/us  but instead he lies and deletes my posts ...
anyone who can read code .. pm me and ill show you right on my rig with team viewer the actual 2 deposits of 500,000 coins, actually was 3 deposits but one was only 50 so not really worth mentioning, than ill show you how he thought he was slick and tried to cover it up ...
Dev could of just said, hey im sorry i didn't mean to send you those coins ... anything like that would of been acceptable and completely understandable for me anyway! ....
but to call me a liar and a troll and delete my posts because I was talking about something that he didn't want anyone to know about.
NOT ACCEPTABLE!
for anyone who understands code just pm me and it will be MY PLEASURE to show you everything!

AND DEV,
if you delete this post I will just sign in under one of my other names and post it again! that's a promise!

Who gives a fuck anymore, it was probably a bug. HOW COULD IT BE FAIR THAT YOU RECEIVE 1MIL COINS AND YOU KEEP THEM? GTFO DUDE WE HEARD UR STORY 10X TIME ALREADY.

+1 - read the story pages pages ago

Re: [ANN]Faircoin - The First Fairly Distributed COIN , new EXCHANGE
by
kino

i am not convinced that just pushing a coin with no real value on an exchange makes any sense.
(I own faircoin myself because i liked the distribution model)

More important would be to give faircoin a little more utility:
- gambling/gaming service supporting faircoin
- developing of new features for the coin itselfes e.g. utilize the blockchain for torrent hosting, mixing service,..
- merchants (realisticly not an option at this point)
- etc. etc.

the source should be open source, so anyone can start further developing..

I totally agree with you, but for this we really do need the dev to step up.

Does anyone know if the dev is active in the asian community? is there a forum for this?

Ive said earlier we could make a list of project and those who are interested of doing them should receive bounties from the dev him self.

Create logos, maybe a dice game something like fair-dice.com, maybe our own faircoin exchanger which we would be marketing with every coins.

I mean if people have knowledge for this kind of things it could be good to step up to those kind of projects.

How about a betting game like bitbet.us? Coin is free afterall!

VOVCoin

About the coin:
After the fail launch of Fair Coin we decided to make a new coin 100% pure PoS.
1 Billion coin at start - 0% development stake - 100,000 investor going to invest in with his time only not with his BTC or hash power!
This coin going to distribute to any human being, anybody can join with an internet connection, everybody going to get 10,000 coin.
The distribution going to be fair and public, everybody can see who gets how much coin to what address, the development team aren't going to reserve any coin for themselves or for bounties, therefore the community need to take part of the bounties and finance them.

Coin parameters:
Scrypt PoW/PoS hybrid
1 Billion coin to 100,000 investors, they are investors because investing their time for this coin to make it happen
Kimoto Gravity Well difficulty retargeting
Flat 100% minting reward/ every year
The coins doubles every year
Flat 0.001 coin mining reward to eternity

To become an investor:
You have to register a token on our website, then after 1 hour later you need to come back then input it with the generated address,
then you are going to get the coin in the distribution period.

Launch date:
Soon!

Developments needed:
Join to our team if you are enough with the fail of Fair Coin, or if you want to be a part of a new thing, or you want to help us with the development, distributing, or with anything your good at.
PM us!

Whether you're the author of Fair Coin ?

WTF? What addresses are these? and how come they have these huge amounts of FAIR?? Are these the DEV's addresses from where payment is taking place?
Am I misreading this or so much for fairness? 49,750 x 1000 FAC = 49750000 FAC => these addresses have way to much stake for any fairness at all!!

http://faircoin.coinexplorers.com/address/fTkhcYCrUhG16ADyzeqtLLcCGPCDF2Ui5D - probably the bounty for dev 2.5M
http://faircoin.coinexplorers.com/address/fHkGX2UbYhK9LP7ixwP8xEcTAwnjgUSfoh - To be distributed ~8.9M
http://faircoin.coinexplorers.com/address/fY1yavrDh4Z2TyGSoSzfjUTjS3PYXjC9Uv  -> ~1.2M but now zero after distribution (block 1172), new balance is at http://faircoin.coinexplorers.com/address/fbNGr5YQkNfMtu3zDZKuzF5CzqFxFT9k5z ~ 0.99M

when FAC is distributed input was split into 2 addresses (One for the 1K receiver, the remaining balance to newly created address). Perhaps why the wallet crashed?

To quote:

"Buy when there's blood in the streets, even if the blood is your own."

This is contrarian investing at its heart - the strongly-held belief that the worse things seem in the market, the better the opportunities are for profit.
...as Warren Buffett warned, "You pay a very high price in the stock market for a cheery consensus." In other words, if everyone agrees with your investment decision, then it's probably not a good one.

Leave the 15M coins and push forward. Publish the addresses of the corrupted wallet and we'll take note of that balance through the blockchain.

Sick of people bitching about this coin and dev incompetence when it was given for free. Remember that dev created the coin, they took some time to plan, develop and design the method of distribution, then took their time to distribute to thousand of addresses. Now he gets this from forum members.

If you don't like the way dev handled the coin, then you are free to fork your own and spend time creating the "perfect distribution" you always dreamed about. FYI I registered 14 tokens, I already got 4000 and donated 500 to one member here. I'm not complaining about the other 10k coins I wouldn't get. It's given free after all.
