Re: Official Open Source FPGA Bitcoin Miner (Spartan-6 Now Tops Performance per $!)

I've trawled this topic and github but am still not sure what the best starting point for a new (Kintex7-325) fpga miner would be.
Multicore is key and a pointer to a working open source software/fpga combo for a serial interface would be hugely appreciated but any sensible starting point would be fine - I expect to do some work!
I'm poking about with the verilog_xilinx port at the moment.

I may be up for this, I'm just getting started with a Kintex7 board, serial interface initially but PCIe is a possibility - my s/w skills aren't up to driver writing so some leverage of synergies possible.
Any pointers to working multicore xilinx designs (vhdl or verilog) with s/w support would be appreciated.

Wait for another exploit at a BTC bank and the price will drop or Eurozone crisis for a spike - black or round, faites vos jeux...

NRE costs - 130 and 65 is older tech, lots of capacity, less pressure and cheaper tooling.
I'm sure your friends at ARM are intimately familiar with this.

Long term graph looks like it's bubbling, start thinking about shorting...

Introductory post - Hi!

Interested in FPGA mining, I've read the thread but am not clear on the best place to start with xilinx and multicore.
I can fo teh fpg abit but s/w is more of a problem - don't know python (yet).

Understandable, but slightly tedious having to make random (useless) posts  Wink
