Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners

Could anyone tell me why I have 45+ algorithms that are disabled? I have an nVidia 1060 GPU.

I am using Managed Profit Switching pools, when I goto benchmark I see a link saying View excluded entries(45)

When I click that link I get this screen

Can anyone help with the apparent really poor performance I am seeing, as the screenshot shows?

Dell is a dual GPU system with nVidia 1060Ti and 1050, Garage has a single 1060Ti.

I'm running 6.1.10 of Awesome Miner, switching interval is set to 3 mins with a 15% switch threshold.

I have Enable Managed Profit Switching ticked with providers as Nicehash, Mining Pool Hub, AHashPool and Blazepool.

Since updating to the latest version my main server is completely freezing and not responding to remote desktop or web connections.

This is happening daily.

Looking in the log all I see at the end is:

Code:
02/09/2018 02:20:49.491 [024] [S]Managed Profit Switching processing: HP GPU Study, IsRunning: False

02/09/2018 02:21:22.129 [035] [S]ChannelFactoryProvider: Create Channel Factory: AwesomeMiner.Service.Contracts.ServiceContracts.IMinerService

And then nothing in the logs until lunchtime today when I had to hard crash and restart the server.
Is the computer where you are running Awesome Miner also running mining - or is it only used to monitor other Remote Agents? A complete computer freeze isn't likely to be caused by Awesome Miner itself.

It is mining as well and has been running fine for many months, it's a dedicated machine, doing nothing else at all.

It's happening at least daily. Is there anyway to narrow down what is causing it?

I did this and AW starting mining to the pool, but the pool website didn't show any workers?

Can anyone suggest why a rig with a single 1050 is seemingly performing better than a rig with a 1060 & 1050 in it?

In the pic below Garage has the single 1050 and Dell has the dual GPUs but is giving less revenue!

patrike - I'm see this error quite frequently.

The web interface tells me both the CPU and GPU miners are offline, however if I remote desktop into the device I see both are working fine and reporting hashrates?

for the GPU the web says Interface offline

On the remote miner the log shows:

I'm seeing an issue as the log below shows. This is on an AMD GPU, the miner is Claymores Dual Ethereum+decred_Siacoin_Lbry_Pascal

This goes on for a few minutes, Awesome Miner flags this error, but then it just restarts itself trying to mine the same two coins, rinse and repeat!

I've had to manually stop it and turn on NiceHash for the time being as no time to troubleshoot Sad

Can you give us some more information... like what mining software was it using to mine ZEC?  Did you add customized command line options for this mining software, pool, or rig?

I've added no customisation at all, sadly the screen cleared before I could see what software it was using.

My miners were mining Tribus off ahashpool, but reporting zero income.

On checking ahashpool it said Do not Mine, is there a way for AW to pick up this kind of message and not mine? I've manually turned off Tribus for now.

It looks like Awesome Miner lists all these AHashpool algorithms with 0 BTC/GH/day right now. The profit switcher should then have put all these pools at the very bottom of the priority list. If you right click on the miner and select View Details, you will see the pools considered.

At the time it was still listing them as top for > the 15 mins I have allocated before switching. Perhaps it just needed a bit more time??

Cool that it supports the latest excavator, but this really brings out a huge weak point in this software - the benchmarking and software selection system is the worst and requires so much manual labor to do something that can be easily handled via software.

It would be great if there was a way to automate selecting which mining software is enabled or disabled per profit profile depending on benchmarks. Right now it benchmarks exactly one mining software per algo, based on which I've alreeady selected. This is backwards, because I don't know which mining software I want enabled until I benchmark it. The right answer is always whichever software puts out the best number.

Instead of making me click through a million menus to test equihash with dstm, ewbf, ccminer, excavator and everything else - the software should just test everything and pick the best. And preferably remember the results per software, so when a new version of the software is released, it only needs to test the new software.

Example workflow:

I enable ewbf, ccminer, claymore, excavator for 1080 Ti profile.

Results:

Equihash ewbf : 11mh
Equihash ccminer: 12mh
Equihash excavator: 13mh
Ethereum ccminer: 25mh
Ethereum claymore: 32mh
Ethereum excavator: 31mh

1080 Ti profile automatically set to use excavator for Equihash, claymore for Ethereum.

Then new ccminer comes out. Benchmark tests only ccminer:

Equihash ccminer: 14mh
Ethereum ccminer: 30mh

Now profile set for ccminer for Equihash, but still claymore for Ethereum.

This is a great suggestion!

Is there any info out there on the various software "agents" available under each Profit Profile? I assume it works through them in order that they are listed and enabled? Trying to work out the ordering I should have and which to enable/disable for NVidia cards?? At the moment I have these enabled (in this order).

Claymore
EWBF
Excavator (old)
CcMiner

The last 6 hours BUG ==> There are 3000 miners on zpool from AM that are all loosing money with x14 BUG, all with zero INCOME. Can you solve it ? it is URGENT !

You can solve it yourself, just take x14 off your list of software for now!

I did this, with 4 hours delay because I was sleeping and lost money because of this bug. AM did not take any action to solve the problem !

AM can't control ZPool reporting potential earnings incorrectly.

In profit switching, I'd like to run one miner for 1 hour (and it would switch), then another miner for 1 hour (same rules but different payment address), then the first one for 1 more hour...

In essence, I need a timer. I couldn't find a way to do that. Is there?

you have to set a Time Trigger rule for a specific time, day or on a regular interval an use templates it works best using templates  an there is a rule for Profit mining .

and profit mining does have that look under the Profit Switching tab under options it lets you set some of those setting ...

Rule setup
http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/rules.aspx

How do you get into the rules section? Can't see it under Options

This is a permission failure, where Awesome Miner isn't allowed to listen to port 17790 for HTTP purposes. You could try to run Awesome Miner with Administrator privileges once, to see if it setup everything properly. Then you should be able to run it normally again.

Tried running it as Admin, but same errors still in the log I'm afraid Sad

Anything else I can try?
