both of these coins are actually good, but if I have to choose I am more interested in ADA. this is not a fixed future or potential, because I believe every coin has its own future and potential. we can't compare it now, because no one knows what will happen later. I thought about what happened today and yesterday. and I see THERE is better than IOTA.

Thanks for the response! I totally understand we don't know what the future holds of course. I'm actually asking based on the tech, devs, and community behind it. Based on those factors and whatever other current factors, which shows more potential? Or another question would be why do you prefer ADA over IOTA? Is it based on the movement yesterday and today or is there something else?

Thanks again

EDIT: I basically looked through both and get a basic understanding of what they're trying to do but honestly all the technical stuff goes over my head sadly =(

IOTA vs ADA - Which has a better future/potential?

Hiya!

It's been a while since I touched crypto, "hodling" what I have. I now have a bit of money I'd like to put in and it came down to Iota or ada but I'm not sure which one is looking better? I've lurked around their respective reddits to get a feel but the posts are usually either "mooooon!" or trolls/fud.

I imagine the posts here may not be all that different? lol but anyone have a good idea of which of the two may have a better future? I don't really have a lot to invest in both so was hoping some light could be shed or at least I could pointed in the right direction.

Thanks!

Day trading and taxes?
by

on 04/12/2018, 19:29:14 UTC
With the market going up and down constantly, I wanted to see if I can do a little bit of day trading. Is it worth it right now? Any suggestions or is there a decent outlet to learn a bit?

Also I live in NYC so curious about tax stuff? Any direction would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Money Token "ICO"

https://moneytoken.com/

These guys are having their pre-sale/ICO and seems its available to everyone including the US. I read the whitepaper and lurked around their social media a bit. It all looks decent except maybe the 22 billion supply. But the price is only $0.005 so can still potentially see a decent return.

Problem is, I'm still quite new to the crypto world and am known to make very stupid decisions or maybe just bad luck. As such, I'm still not as good reading the potentials of these ICO's or if its a total scam. So was hoping maybe you guys can have a look and see if I was going to make another mistake or its a decent risk to take? I know there will always be a risk and noone has a crystal ball, but maybe some advise to minimize the possible damage.

Thanks!

I see not too familiar with ico pools.... any suggestions on where to research?

But also I also mentioned "the likes" cause for instance VIT (vice industry token) had a crowdsale available for everyone. Or is that a worse idea than icos?

thanks!

Re: [ANN] [LIFE] Token | Card | Reward | Simply for everyday people | Launched

I'm interested in life and wish to add it to my portfolio if possible but I do question what makes life any different than any other coin? I believe I've seen quite a few other coins claiming to be working on credit/debit type cards but I'm not 100% sure if I'm seeing anything different or unique compared to other coins. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but if its similar to other coins, growing is that much harder. Thanks!

I think if LIFE gets listed on binance and other major exchanges which they claim they will and if they launch LIFE debit card the price will have to jump to at least 100 satoshi. Nothing is guaranteed of course but that would be my expectation and that is x30+ of what it's trading at right now. Not sure if $1 per token is reachable but anything is possible in the crypto world, right?

I mean getting on binance and such definitely would give it more exposure so it'd go up, but I'm trying to figure out if the tech behind it is good (special, unique, and such) enough for more people to actually adopt it, buy into it, etc. Life can be on all the exchanges in the world but if it doesn't have anything that'll differentiate or shine a light on it, the exposure by itself won't be enough.

Oh of course! I know I have to make the ultimate decision but was hoping someone could share their thoughts about  to the growth potential of all three coins. I believe all three has great potential but recently feel XRB and ICX may be better/more interesting  but not 100% sure. And yes definitely all three coins are long term holds. Thanks for your response though! =)

VTC into XRB or ICX?
by
klenx
on 28/12/2017, 00:01:06 UTC
A few months back I really liked VTC so I got into it for about 4-5 dollars and it has made me a bit of money. I have about $1000 total in it. I have bunch of other coins I'm invested into that I don't want to move and can't really invest more cash at the moment

As I researched more, I started to really like XRB and ICX. XRB I've been watching since it was about a dollar but hated bitgrail and merc so I never got into it (regret it like crazy!) but even at $10 dollars is it worth it? With its max supply it has a considerable amount of room to grow.

ICX has a bit more supply but still a good project with a lots of potential and actually has a lot of hype around it. I think even at its current rate, not a bad buy.

So basically, I'm asking for advice. I know noone can tell the future, but I'm sure people here are significantly smarter or at least well versed in this compared to myself. Should I stick with VTC or maybe consider switching? Anything interesting I should know before making a final decision? Any kind of help would be appreciated!

Thanks all!

EDIT: Apologize if I shouldn't post this here....please just direct me in the right place then? Thanks

Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners

Hello, I'm very brand new to the world of mining and even newer to awesome miner. I've moved here from the sad burning pile of ashes that is Nicehash =(

I've managed to figure out how to mine ETN from easyhash.io and its going decently but I'd like to learn more! I didn't configure anything and just put in the necessary info and just let it run. Are there any guides/tricks to tweak it a bit to run more efficiently/better? (not exactly sure if this is the best or something else would be more profitable?)

Also I managed to learn the managed miner thing but wasn't sure of the managed profit miner aspect of it. Basically it switches between different pools right? I don't know why it wouldn't work. Do I need to set some stuff up first (wallets, sign up to something?, verify some stuff?)?

Thanks guys!
First of all, Welcome!

Nice that you have a setup running. The Managed Profit Miner will automatically change mining software, algorithm and pool based on what is currently most profitable. You will find it described in more detail here:
http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/profitswitching.aspx.

Although you can use your own pools in the profit switcher, many people simply enter their Bitcoin address for some of the built-in pools and no additional configuration is required. Please keep in mind that Awesome Miner itself is not a mining pool and that all payouts will be from the pools you enable for the profit switcher.

Thank you for the welcome and response! I'll definitely have a read.

One more question though. I was mining ETN and it calculated total per day at around 10 dollars. Its been running for about 18 hours and its only about 4 dollars without much fluctuation of the price of ETN. Is that normal?
