Re: Is NEO still worth investing in?
by

I also want to invest in NEO, but i'm waiting for the right time to buy.
I made some bad decisions in this bear market, trying to catch some falling knives.

Now I'm waiting to see the real market reversal and I won't try to buy the ultimate dip.
Better miss the first 10-20% of profits instead of losing a lot of money.

Patience is key I guess.

Twitter, Reddit, Telegram, Tons of crypto apps on Phone and google searches.

Next to that I search for Gems on CMC regularly and start reading about all sorts of coins.
Make sure to follow twitter of coins you think have huge potential.

Re: why so many peoples belived in pump 2018?
by

I think tis bear market will last a while longer.
I don't expect to see new ATH's in 2018.
A lot of people (new investors) lost a lot of money during this dip.
It will take a while before they are confident again to invest.

I'm constantly buying as I think crypto will change the world as we know it.
Only during this bear market I'm buying smaller portions.
I will step up once I see the real market reversal

Re: ETH falls !!

In my opinion it doesn't matter how hard crypto falls at the moment.
Eventually it will recover to old ATH.
Maybe not all shitcoins, but the solit ones like Ethereum, Bitcoin etc will.
My advice, don't try and catch a falling knife. wait for marker reversal and even if you mis the first 25-50% profits, you are still able to make enourmous profits.

Re: I lost half of my crypto amount! what to do?

ask yourself following question....

Do you think we are at the beginning of a revolution that will change the world ?

If the answer to this question is yes... you don't have to worry. you made a great investment and just didn't buy at rock bottom, but in the long term you will still see massive profits.
If the answer is no... take your losses, sell all and never look back.

My advice would be to do your own research before investing a single dollar.
Never blindy follow advice from other people.
Spend time researching different coins untill you find your own gem.

regardless if you make huge profits or experience losses, you know this was you own choice.

Re: Do you trust ICO Rating sites?
by
knien
on 04/09/2018, 21:44:12 UTC
In my opinion ICO rating sites can give you some decent hints.
I also think there are some that are paid for promotion.

I think same rule as always should be applied.... Do your own research.

So You can look at ICO rating sites to find a new gem, but never blindly follow their rating.

fact is that nobody knows if we wil experience a new bull run or not.
I do think we will.
But I think it can take a long time before we will see it.

To much negative news.
To man new investors that bought in at ATH lost a lot of money in this bear market.

I hear a lot of predictions of hen the next bull market cycle will start the past year, but none of them came true….

Re: Do you feel like quitting?
by

I will never quit. I believe we are at the beginning of a new technological revolution.

Of course making some profits is nice, but I do feel that to many people are only in it for the profits.
This dip is good to shake out a lot of speculators which is good in my opinion.

Regardless of the BTC/ dollar price in this dip.
1 bitcoin is still 1 bitcoin.

Re: What keeps you motivated to Hodl?
by
knien
on 28/08/2018, 21:32:33 UTC
My motivation to HODL is that I truly believe we are still in the very beginning of the crypto revolution.

I believe that we will see mass adoption within the next 5-10 years.
So I'm not in the game for short term FIAT gains, I'm contoniously investing (yes also in this bear market) and I hope that i'll never have to sell for FIAT, but i'll be able to pay for goods and services with my crypto coins.

I will hodl for at least another 5+ years to see what happens.

Re: Do not respond to FUD threads!
by
knien
on 22/08/2018, 23:16:36 UTC
I agree with the OP that it's getting difficult to find decent valuable threads between a lot of "what we call" FUD threads.

But I do think that not all is FUD as we know it, but real concerns from people fairly new to the crypto market that bought in at ATH during last bull market and lost a lot of money.
A lot of faith in crypto is lost in this bear market.
So to recover from this bear market, we all should have a more positive view on the future of crypto.
Ignoring people sharing real concerns is not the way to go in my opinion.

Re: Winner of this year, ETH or BTC?
by
knien
on 22/08/2018, 22:58:14 UTC
I think Bitcoin will remain king of the crypto wold for a long time.
Maybe there are coins with better features, but bitcoin was the first and bitcoin is the most widely known "brand"
For a lot of people new to the crypto market Cryptocurrency = Bitcoin.

I don't see this changing in the near future.

Next to the above... many alt coins only have a BTC trading pair. So if you want to obtain them, you have to buy/own bitcoin first.

⭐ Merited by TimeTeller (2)
Not only the alt coins you mentioned have dropped. Currently we experiencing a full bear market and almost all alts are down.
Fact is that nobody knows for sure if alts will recover, when they will recover, wich ones will recover, etc.

Personally I don't think all the alts will recover to old ATH's. Only the decent ones will.
A lot of wothless projects where created and hyped during last bull market.

TRON and ADA in my opinion are examples of decent alts that will recover and reach new ATH's.
Just my 2 cents on this subject.

Re: New BTC dump upcoming! 18000 BTC moved to BitMex...
by

I don't think selling large amounts of bitcoin is necessary a bad think if you are looking long term.
If the whales start selling, It's bad for the price on the short term, but its great for bitcoin distribution.
In the end price will recover and there will gradually be less whales that can cause huge price swings by selling large amounts.

So in short. I don't mind whales dumping bitcoin, since I'm willing to HOLD for the long term.

I'm waiting and I didn't invest more than I can afford to loose.
No panic here... but I could use some weeks of green candles like the end of last year.

I own both, but my personal preference is TRON.

But never listen to what others are telling you to invest in.
start doing your research and make your own decision.
If you can not choose, maybe you should wait a little longer.

Re: I will never join AirDrop programs any more
by
knien
on 01/08/2018, 21:55:01 UTC
strange.

I have joined 2 airdrops and I realy like the concept.

I prefer it over ICO, because there are no multimilion dollar investments from investors based on a whatepaper and no working product deliverd at all.
With airdrops, the coins are distributed freely and most risk is on founder side. Without delivery of a working decent product they will gain nothing while they invested time.

But nobody looses huge sums of money is this case. Not the founders and not the airdrop participants.

Re: what are the best coins for 1500$

Nr.1 rule. Never buy what others say you should buy without doing your own research.
If you don't know in what coin you should invest, i suggest you don't invest at all at this moment, bit start learning about crypto and the market first.
