[ANN] WoofCoin / New Coin [WOFC] GPU Mining/PoW
by

WOOF COIN

Since the beginning of the pandemic, pet surrendering rates have increased dramatically around the world. Waitlists for surrendering household pets have increased to a remarkable eight months as animal shelters and welfare organisations have seen an increase of 34% for animals needing help.

Typically, animal shelters are under resourced and under financed; relying heavily on donations and the volunteer efforts to assist animals.

This is where Woof Coin steps in. As avid lovers of dogs, we wanted to make a difference. Using the power of Proof of Work mining, we’ve created a coin where miners are contributing to the donation of money to animal welfare shelters. These shelters initially include the ASPCA who already have a cryptocurrency donation mechanism but with intention to expand to the RSPCA and other organizations suggested by the community.

Our aim is to put animals first and we intend on developing ongoing relationships with pet shelters to help adoption.

Coins Specifications
21 billion supply
Block 2,100,000 halving (4 years estimated)
Algorithm: KawPOW
Proof of Work

Do you have any plans to open-source your code? It's difficult to trust a wallet that claims to be incredibly secure without open-source software/firmware.

Yeah totally agree. Such cold wallet truly needs to be open sourced. Kiss Kiss

We will definitely release the firmware after initial audit.

It doesn't seem to make much sense to me that you would start selling your product before an audit has been carried out.

We just want to make presale of those keys to speed up development process, however this product will be ready in December 2018 anyway.
By the way, we have been making anti-piracy software protection with SenseLock dongles since 2006 and none of them was hacked. We are good with those things.

Thank you for answering.

I am interested in possible beta testing and giving suggestion/feedback for improving the wallet,

please tell me if I can apply somehow...

I think we need some good competition for Ledger and Trezor anyway

Please contact us by e-mail so we'll arrange your personal copy for beta testing as soon as it is ready!

Colleagues. Hardware wallets are known to be the most reliable. I have a Trezor. Question. Than your wallet will be different from a Trezor?

Trezor isn't really secure. Ledger Nano is better however there are problems anyway.
You can check https://blog.gridplus.io/hardware-wallet-vulnerabilities-f20688361b88

Bitlock kernel is SecureCore SC300 smart card and all logic is performed within this kernel.

Plus there are some software features like crypto firewall. In other words malware cannot send more than you predefined.
If you are forced to open your wallet under pressure you can input different access password and get different set of addressed with minimum balances to trick the criminal.
Another useful thing is, BitLock is looking like regular USB driver and doesn't draw too much attention. And no button. All transactions are confirmed on mobile that  authorises data from BitLock received through secured by asymmetric RSA2048 algorithm channel.

In other words we are focused on maximal security to Bitlock owner and his funds.

Without buttons there are plenty of thing to implement. That's why we are very interested in getting feedback from people about features they want and we'll our best to deliver.

That's the good question. Firmware must be open sourced for sure, there's no meaning in selling crypto protection device without open source firmware, however, unlike Terror and Ledger,  uploading firmware to device will be done in the centralised way. SenseLock dongle is programmed with Master Key, so there's no way to upload clean firmware to end user device without encrypting the file with the master key. In other words you cannot confirm the open source firmware on GitHub is equal to one you are downloading from our website until this process is confirmed by any other trustworthy third party. We plan to find trustworthy counterparty responsible for audit and compiling the firmware.

Another option is purchasing Master Key so you can compile program and upload to your working key by your side.

Thank you for providing fast answers.

I would prefer

- durable metal wallet  (similar to this  https://www.qwant.com/?q=kingston%20usb%20%20metal&t=images)
- list of supported coins (and possible coins)
- list of partners
- video/photo preview of wallet usage
- beta testing

I guess this case must be even better, however personally me hasn't got a hold on this yet, however presentation is looking very promising.

We have couple of month to work on coins, at the moment we can confirm Bitcoin/Litecoin/Ethereum + ERC20/Waves and looking forward at Dash/Monero/IOTA.

We prefer to talk to bonus pack coin providers when presale is finished because the better figure we give the better offer we get for our clients.

Working on video presentation now. Yo need to understand now this is not a ready made product, however we can show interfaces and functions like multiple access password and crypto firewall in action.

Beta testing is an great idea but and I guess we'l be ready to send first wallets to beta testers in September.

Does your wallet support IOTA?
Can you send a notifications about new transactions to Telegram?

IOTA is a hot topic, currently we haven't checked it, but express look shows there will be no problems, since they use hashing instead of elliptic curve however you need to understand that Bitlock as a device just performs decoding the transaction build outside and checking if it passes firewall rules. There are no problems making telegram notification if you are ready to setup telegram bot on your computer in BitLock daemon or use web wallet. We think web wallet is needed as a additional security layer but using it or not must be customer decision.

Is wallet made of metal or not ?

I see several images and it looks like it has regular plastic parts.

This can be seen here:
https://bitlock.io/files/BitLock.pdf

Currently we are working with plastic devices, however Senslock has ACME family devices.
You can check the presentation in Chinese at https://bitlock.io/files/Elite5Acme.pdf

Is there any advantages compared to Ledger Nano S  and Trezor
that have several times lower cost ?

In fact the price with the discount on presale doesn't differ to much from Ledger and Trezor. Unlike those devices BitLock doesn't have a screen and buttons, and the authentication is performed on mobile phone. If you know, both are vulnerable because of insecure chip used for interacting with the screen, when Trezor doesn't have secured kernel at all. In Bitlock all software works within the kernel of smart-card and it is very reliable thing. We protect software from unauthorised copying since 2006 and none of our clients was hacked even by the decapsulation attack.

BitLock is made in Singapore or (China, Russia) and sent from there also or not ? ?

Physicaly device is made in China by SenseLock, software is made in Russia by Seculab and Delerex development teams, and sales go through Singaporean registered Delerex Pte Ltd.

We are going to ship directly from China and there's a chance some Bitlocks will be shipped to European clients from Lithuania by Secular-Europe UAB

I would like to seee full list of supported crypto coins and partners.

At the moment we tested SECP256K1 for Bitcoin/Litecoin/Ethereum and Curve25519  for WavesPlatform, designed crypto-firewall login, make daemon working with the key and web interface, however there's a lot of work ahead to move from MVP to the product, but basically we confirmed the possibility and ready to ship the device in December 2018.

Each comment and  suggestion will be highly appreciated.

What about partners, we will do our best to get a kind of reward for our first 1000 clients from blockchains and projects who want their currency was used by people, who concerned about security and ready to pay for device. Some kind of hardware airdrop. By the way, with BitLock it is possible to ship device with currencies on it without the risk of being stolen in transit.

Colleague. Provide more technical information about the coin. Provide white paper. Show honest and happy faces of the team so that investors will believe you.

I'm sorry, but we do not make ICO, we are not looking for investments, we are not going to make any coin.
We just want to sell 1000 USB devices to confirm market request and finish all the development. BitLock will be done anyway, however having community and working with requests could help us develop really good solution.
