BCH got pumped hard. Use it only for speculation purposes. They have been hostile towards the BTC community in the last few days.

Well, normal people need to make an effort. I thing the bigger problem is not the complexity but rather the trust in Bitcoin. Many don't understand the technology and see it as voodoo magic. It needs to be explained in schools and universities so that people understand how blockchains work.

Money was backed by gold. Not anymore. The gold standard is long gone. Both Bitcoin and USD are not backed by anything.

Bitcoin is in bull trend until it isn't. Nobody could forecast when the trend will turn around. It could be next year or in 10 years. Corrections are something normal and after a downturn always comes an uptrend.

Government regulations and bans have big influence on the short term price. Big adoption news do the opposite.

The best option is using different wallets for different purposes.

• Hardware wallet for long term storage
• Mobile wallet for payments
• Desktop wallet for moving funds around (e.g. exchanges)

Bitcoin will survive. Time will show which version will take the lead in the future.

Banning Bitcoin might elevate the price. People will continue selling it on the black market and start smuggling vouchers into the country. People will have to pay premium over the market price. Everybody will forget about China in a couple of months.

Do not use your phone number for 2FA - especially if you are based in the USA. There are better alternatives such as code generators (Google Authenticator) and Hardware Keys (Ledger Nano S - yes, you can use your hardware wallet for 2FA).

Normally you should buy when there is a dip. Now is not the perfect time. Don't buy BTC only because you are exited.

I think there are many people who want to disrupt Bitcoin. These might be backed by the banks or governments. Keep calm and keep hodling

Bitcoin will be my retirement plan. I try not to touch it.

This should be your own decision. It is up to you if you want to risk your money. As you know risky investments can be very profitable or the other way around. You should know one thing: "Do not invest more than you can afford to lose".

Bitcoin is distributed around the world. One would need to shut down the world internet in order to stop BTC from moving on. There is a scenario where a country could cut off the connection to the rest of the world and the nodes in that country would fork off the original chain because they would not know what is happening on the original chain.
