We’ve been in contact with BTC-E and we can confirm that the funds linked to the account were reported as stolen funds. An official police report was delivered to BTC-E to prevent the criminal from withdrawing the funds. BTC-E is doing the right thing in this case.

SEND MONEY TO KOREA

You may have heard of Korbit before, we are one of the largest Bitcoin exchanges in South Korea. We noticed a lot of our customers use the exchange to remit money from overseas and we have simplified this process with a new service called Bitwire.

In South Korea, internet banking is notoriously cumbersome due to extra security software and ActiveX plugins required to install. Due to this, Internet Explorer is always a requirement when it comes to online purchases and online banking.

Transfers within Korean banks only take a few seconds to process and settle. A lot of online merchants therefore allow bank transfers as a payment option. Taking advantage of this, Bitwire allows people to send money using Bitcoin to any Korean bank account in less than two hours.
