Hi! I'm part of the Maxcoin team, can I help out with the pool being disabled? What would be the best way to get in contact with you guys? Thanks.

There seems to be a problem with automatic checkpointing in Maxcoin wallet (new feature in latest 0.9.2 update)... If your wallet does not sync, you probably have the "Warning: checkpoint on different blockchain fork, contact developers to resolve the issue" error... By running 'enforcecheckpoint false' in the debug window your wallet will sync back, but it does not fix the underlying issue with checkpoints.
I understand the dev team and other ppl involved in maxcoin are probably very busy, but their radio silence on this thread regarding important questions (especially the botnets issue) does not seem like a very good PR strategy
Apparentley not the same implementation since they state that those miners won't work..
I would be curious as to how Maxcoin's implementation of Keccak differs from the one in Copperlark. One of the things I see is the number of re-hashes applied on the input data (Copperlark seems to use a double hash).
Maxcoinproject: Any detail on how exactly your keccak implementation differs from what's in the wild right now?
Just as an academic exercise, is there a reasonable way to estimate the approximate gross revenue a business like multipool.us generates annually ?
That's very hard especially since this revenue is tied to variations in the value of each cryptocurrency and their profitability at the moment the owners 'cash in'. I'd say it's near to impossible to estimate.
