Re: I lost half of my crypto amount! what to do?
by

on 04/06/2018, 16:09:17 UTC
That is the thing with cryptos you should never buy when the price of the coin is high. If you bought at high prices you should always make sure that you sell the coins when the prices go a bit higher then wait for the prices to fall back down before you buy in again. I had to learn this the hard way. Right now the only thing that you can do now is to wait for the prices to moon again.

You should buy bitcoin is you know that you have the money to invest in it. Don't let anyone discourage you from investing, putting your money in bitcoin is one of the best investment decision that you can ever take. The only thing I would ask you to do is to read about bitcoin, it's origin. Make sure that you understand what it is all about so you do not get blindsided

Re: 5 essential rules to avoid cryptocurrency scams
by

This is one of the best advice on avoiding cryptocurrency scams that i have ever seen, simple, easy to read and straight to the point. A lot more people should read this because the number of people that are falling to cryptocurrency scams now is just way too much. Also I would like to add that if anything seems too good to be true, then it usually is, don't trust it

Re: I have 69 ETH, What to do?
by

You should invest some of that ethereum into a good ICO. There is a lot of money to be made from investing in icos instead of just leaving your coins idle in your wallets doing nothing. Keep a part of it which you would be holding for the long term for the price of bitcoin to go up but make sure that you make some invesments with some of the coins to earn more

Re: is crypto industry dangerous ?

Investing in cryptos is very risky, especially when you are investing in new coins which are more likely to fail than the other coins that are in the market. This is why people should never invest more money than they can afford to lose into the cryptocurrency market. There is just way too many ways that you can end up losing your money invested into cryptos.

The sprintX ICO which I am currently campaigning for is a good one which I believe will end up doing well in the future. I even plan to invest some of my money into it as well to add to the token rewards when I get them at the end of the campaign. I will also like to tell you that you should also do some of your own research into the ICO too, you will not be disappointed

Everyone wants to make money, there is no one that will turn down the chance to be able to make a lot of money just from doing posts on a forum, this is why there are so many participants. It also works in the favor of the owners of the projects too, because the more people that are participating in their bounties, the more people that are promoting it, which means the more people that they can reach

Re: Does Altcoin price depend on BTC or ETH??
by
krigger
on 29/05/2018, 20:41:02 UTC
Altcoin prices mostly depend on bitcoin. Even if the trading pairs of the coin is in ethereum, the price of ethereum depends on the price of bitcoin which means that the prices of coins depends on the price of bitcoin whether directly or indirectly due to trading pairs. That is why you see that when the price of bitcoin falls, then the prices of all the other altcoins in the market start falling too.

Re: Best competitors to Ethereum?
by
krigger
on 28/05/2018, 17:05:32 UTC
The best competitor to Ethereum is Bitcoin, obviously. I think of Bitcoin and Ethereum as the "Microsoft and Apple" of crypto. They are the biggest players right now and everyone else simply lags behind and doesn't matter. BTC is king because it has the first-mover advantage and it's technology is always improving (such as with lightning network) however ETH is currently used in ICOs and a big reason for the recent crypto boom, so give credit where it's due!

Right now there is no competition for ethereum. It has it's own blockchain protocol which means that it is way ahead of majority of the coins in the market. Ethereum is fixing up to compete with the likes of bitcoin. With the POS protocol that they are going to put into place which would eliminate the need for miners in the project, it would skyrocket, surpassing the likes of bitcoin in technological advancement.

It does not matter how cheap the price of the coin is, what matters is your research that you have done into the coin. If with your research you think that the coin is good then you should invest in the coin. I buy cheap coins all the time, coins that I believe that would do good even though they are still very cheap. Once those coins rise to double their prices, then you are making a hundred percent profit.

Re: The world of Bounty Scam, an article all bounty hunters should read!
by
krigger
on 27/05/2018, 16:22:22 UTC
I have just found this article on Steemit and I completely agree with the author: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@criptomoneta/the-world-of-bounty-scam-qurrex-tokenpay-and-more

Lately the bounty managers and the devs have been doing everything they want thanks to clauses such as "We reserve the right to change, modify, add or remove portions of these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice and you accept and agree to the changes" and the only people who lose money and waste time of course are only the bounty hunters.

Do you agree with the article? Are bounty managers and devs taking too much advantages of their position? Do you think it's correct they have such a big power in order to exploit the bounty hunters?

well it is still the right thing to do, why? Managers are not fully in control in the budget of the bounty campaign, why? The project owners will still decide how many token will they distribute. The common change happening in bounty was in the start they will said that x number of token will be distributed after the campaign then after sometime it willbe based on dollars. however that is not a bigdeal just continue your worl and for sure you will be rewarded
This is what I was thinking too. I though I was the only one that realized that bounty managers are just another set of hired hands working for the tea, behind a project. Any changes can be made to the project at any time which will directly affect the bounty campaigns that are ongoing. With that in ming, it sounds only reasonable that they would say that so we know what we are getting into.

You can create as many accounts with metamask as you want, just make sure that you have the private keys in an orderly manner so you can understand which private key belongs to a certain wallet to make it easier to access. It is more advisable for you to use different wallets for each of the airdrops and bounties that you do, this way if one wallet gets compromised, then the others are safe.

Re: When do you predict coins will be stable again?
by
krigger
on 25/05/2018, 10:09:33 UTC
Not sure when the prices would be stable since there hasn't been any such thing as stability when we are talking about cryptocurrencies. More like when the prices will go back up and bull again and for that to happen you have to be ready to wait a long time. Bear markets can last a couple of years at a time which is what you should mentally prepare yourself for.

You can list your services on the services section here on bitcointalk and the people who need your services will contact you for it. Designers and coders get a lot of work and you can specify what you want your payment to be made in. Also you might want to look into joining bounty and signature campaigns because that is how a lot of people here get coins

It can happen a lot with bounties and if they do not raise as much money that they ned for the project they often stop the bounty and signature campaigns as there are no ways to end up paying out the rewards that are due to the bounty hunters. It can happen sometimes and it nothing new, what you should do now is to find a new bounty to participate in

Re: Are Altcoins just as important as Bitcoin?
by
krigger
on 24/05/2018, 12:03:13 UTC
They are just as important. Altcoins have shown through out the years that they can be applied in a lot of sectors and that they have come to stay for now. As long as the coins keep doing well and with projects like the ethereum blockchain being used by big companies, it is no doubt that altcoins now are  just as important to us as bitcoin. With time coming people will make more money from altcoins than they did from bitcoin.

Re: Which cryptocurrency is the fastest?
by
krigger
on 23/05/2018, 10:21:29 UTC
No one is the fastest, it all depends on the transaction volume at the time that your transaction went through and if the transactions volumes increases then the transaction times become slower and transaction fees will increase. They all have their good times and their bad times and in bull markets, the coins and their transactions becomes slower due to increased transactions

NEO no doubt. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that NEO would end up doing good and would  be competing with the top altcoins in no time. I have never been interested in cardano and have never been a believer in their project so this one is hard for me. In my opinion, NEO is a better coin than cardano and it is the coin you should buy out of the two in case of a dip in prices
