For me best pool seems to be http://vtc.coinvention.net/ . I have no idea why but I **think** i'm getting more vtc per day with 270khash. I'm saying think because difficulty is changing so, it's hard to say for sure. I've tried vertco and bitcrush also but payouts seems to be lower...

For me new version of vertminer 053 somehow solved all the hw errors.. before i got like 200hw errors per day now 0

I got it a big lower, but still, sinking like a stone . At least mining got a bit easier. Yeah i'll sell panda for vert too, but not just yet

I think exchange where you could exchange vtc for dollars would really help this coin. Has anyone contacted any of the exchanges? I'm pretty sure kraken would add vtc for the right amount of money

Well you can clearly see someone is dumping the coins, huge volume here and there.. How many coins does he have left that's the question . I'm pretty sure he'll drive the price to 0.0025 or lower trying to cause a panic sellout

I think when promoting we should really point out why vertcoin isn't "yet another bitcoin". For instance bitcoin was made to decentralise financial payment, but with the recent asic addition the mining system seems centralising.. vertcoin has a solution for this etc

I've got the same setup, but only one 7950  getting 260khash. I get best value with --shaders 1792 -I 13 --g 2 --w 256
Next thing is overclocking, my voltage is 1.1v, gpu 950 (slower speed actually improved khash, go figure.. ), memory 1350
These settings actually give me very bad khash hashing other scrypt like dogecoin (about 360, should be more)

With 7950 i'm getting now about 260khash, but I get accepted shares: 75900 ; rejected 64, hw errors 331

Is this ratio normal? For some reason i'm getting hw errors at intensity 13, if i lower to intensity 12, errors stop but the hash rate falls by 100khash

Huh, barely got the hang of cgminer. Is it similar at least? Alternatively which card should I buy that will support two gpu threads( budget versions), please don't recommend r9 290 or 280

gpu 1023, memory 1225, 1,1v set with sapphire trixx
--shaders 1792 --thread-concurrency 7168 --lookup-gap 0 --I 13 --g 2 --w 286

getting 265 kh

One question, if i add r9 270, can i run two different settings (for different cards) in vertminer?

Always when i got gpu 0 failure it was a problem with too high of thread concurrency. If you set too high gpu threads it freezes the system, same with intensity

Thanks for the answers, I actually got hd7950 because I didn't want to change PSU. Ran the system for 2 hours at 400W (550w rated psu from lc), and burned the psu..... Then I got a new psu
Yeah should have gotten a r290 and new psu ... but hey what can I do

@bullus I tried your settings exactly but I keep getting artifacts on the screen and only 220k hash rate.. Can you please tell me which drivers are you using, which operating system and how much ram?

I have sapphire dual x 7950 and getting very bad results. One time I got it up to 250k hash rate but then I wanted to improve it but I just fu*** it up .
My setup is e6400, 3gb ddr2, sapphire dual x 7950, catalyst drivers 13.1, windows 7 64bit

Just ordered 4 gb of ram, hope that will fix it.  Does anyone have any suggestions? Intensity can't go above 13 or it doesn't start, thread concurrency can't go above 10000, or it will say gpu 0 failure

I am thinking of converting my old pcu into mining rig (very small ofcourse). I have a p5n-e sli motherboard 2 pcie slots, 550w psu,e6400, well ventilated case.
Currently I have one offer for graphic card PowerColor R9 290 4GB at 350eur , sapphire hd7950 at  240 eur or r9 280x gigabyte at 290e (european prices..).. Which would be better "bang for the buck" from the perspective khash/watt?
I'll be probably mining just vertcoin
