I am offering 5 Yen coins. Due to their Japanese name meaning "good spirit", they are believed to bring luck. Many of them are offerings in temples. Now I bring them outside Japan and supply you with a little Japanese luck. Coins are a little larger than a US nickel and similar in size to 20 euro cents. What's most important - they are holed, so they can be hung on necklaces, pinned in purses etc. I have only 5 pieces taken out of circulation, so you need to be fast! But who opens letters? I don't think FBI would tear envelopes and dig through thousands of postcards and letters to get to $20 that's "illegally sent". AFAIK sums up to $15 are legal to send.

Most probably they probably ship from US. I see this shop is concentrated on USD-paying customers, so I think they import they stuff from EU first. Wait, they accept EUR as well.
Maybe it's a cost of insurance for drivers that would have accidents due to trying to use correct side of the road in the UK.
