You mean as a sender and rbf is not possible i can use cpfp also but must include a change utxo?! Does this change utxo has to be the initial change address from the parent transaction? Doesnt it? If i sent with max amount is a cpfp even possible as sender?

thx for all your answers.  Smiley

So Electrum does not automatically saves my "send" label to the change address. Why is that? Out of my sight every label "needs" to be named by the ones who knows of this address. So wouldnt it be better if electrum saves automatically the sending/transaction label to the change?

Hi Guys,

one question regarding the labeling in electrum

i send a coin to B. In the description field i put in B.

Now B is a label (description) in the history tab but the change address is not labeled with B. Is this right? Do i have to label my change manual?

Core Private keys
by
kuk
on 29/07/2017, 22:45:00 UTC
Hallo Guys

i'm reading a few things about importing/exporting  private keys and core and on some sites there are warning like this

"Before reading this page, users should note that messing with ECDSA private keys is very dangerous and can result in losing bitcoins, even long after the import. It is recommended that outside of self-generated vanity addresses, users should never import (or export) private keys."

Whats that about an wheres the danger if i export the key in core and Import it to another wallet. Isnt it so that importing and exporting a private key gives us the advantage of beeing in full controll of our bitcoins so that this should be a good thing in core not sth i should worry about!? Altough in most cases i would just send it to another adress without exporting/importing the key but in case of August 1. and bitcoin cash i probably have to export my core key and import it to f.e abc wallet

Big thanks in advance for every answer

- If you want to use both currencies at the same time or sell one of the currencies, then you will probably have to follow a somewhat-complicated series of steps possibly involving running some extra software in order to cleanly split your coins and eliminate the possibility of replay.

If the split happens will it be somehow possible (as i read in this article https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/bitcoin-beginners-guide-surviving-bip-148-uasf/) to send the coins, after some time obv., to an exchange which supports the split and do the "splitting" work for me or do i have to do sth in any case offline in the core wallet settings?

f.e. 1 btc on my core wallet - split happens - there is still 1btc in my wallet??? - will send the 1 btc to an exchange - have 2 coins in the exchange

I´m asking this because im not that familiar with settings, commands etc. of the core wallet and will probably not be able to work with commands in the console

or will there be probably an update of core which supports both coins?

installed it and everything works fine so far although the transaction isnt confirmed yet but i think i have to let it run for a while now to get some confirmation

if i dont get any confirmation, can i just use the abandon transaction function which i found in the new  core version or do i have to worry about sth like double spend or anything?
