Re: Nexus - Pure SHA3 + CPU/GPU + nPoS + 15 Active Innovations + More to Come

Hello guys,
I'm trying to recover an old nexus wallet - from 2014, so I've downloaded the latest client and synced it fully. Then I removed the default wallet.dat and instead moved to the .Nexus dir my old wallet from 2014. Now if I try to run Nexus QT I get "Error Loading wallet.dat: Wallet requires newer  version of Nexus"
Anyone know how can I solve it? Tried google but there is almost 0 information about, the only thing I've managed to find is this error in source code of Nexus client but I'm not a programmer to fully understand the code around it.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I think you should open the wallet first (no syncing - just for creating the Nexus folder in AppData/Roaming), close it, remove wallet.dat and insert your old one, then open the wallet again and then let it sync.
I tried to put my wallet.dat to a synced wallet and it didn't work, then it tried it like above and it worked. You can give it a try. Wink

I liked the possibility of mining Vertcoin merged with Unitus together, it seems that only nuuty.one offered this combination. But it's true I was the only one mining here UIS and my hashpower wouldn't make a big difference. Smiley

Hash Refinery has Vertcoin, Mona and Unitus: http://pool.hashrefinery.com/site/gomining?algo=lyra2v2
Thanks for letting me know, I didn't know that pool!
I can see there is no one else currently mining, so I'm afraid I will have a trouble finding blocks, but I'll give it a try.  Wink

Went all-in on Nexus, already +5k sat since I bought yesterday. It has hit $0.30 now.
Maybe $1 by the end of 2017?
Vector Space Systems is also quite interesting.
Honestly speaking, with a price progress like it has now without any special marketing or a big announcement, I believe we'll be much higher than just $1 till the end of the year. Nexus is generaly known as a long term hold coin, so I also don't expect any big dumps, only organic growth. Cool The whole project has a lot to offer and the whole dev team is really devoted to it, so from a trading point of view I see Nexus like a very safe investment with a very high chance for a nice profit. Wink
Do you buy into the dips or just hold?
It went down to 25k sat but it's climbing up again, wish I had more time to monitor the price.

HODL! Grin I won't sell a single NXS coin I own in a near future, at least till summer when we expect some bigger announcements.. but of course it doesn't mean I don't buy more in the dips. There is never enough Nexus in my wallet. Cool
Right now the price is around 22k sat (mostly because of bitcoin rise), so you have a nice opportunity to buy cheap coins before it will go up again. Wink

Anybody else having problems with nexus-qt? it won't open for some reason (win10)
Has the wallet already been synced before, or did you try to open it for a first time?
Did you wait long enough for it to open? Sometimes it can take 5-10 or even 20 mins to load (it depends on your computer).
The wallet eats a lot of RAM memory (over 1GB), so maybe you didn't have enough free memory at the moment?

Unitus 0.9.6.4 Released - https://github.com/unitusdev/unitus/releases/tag/0.9.6.4

New website also launched - http://unitus.online/home
I've been trying to get to the website http://unitus.online/home for more than a week and it doesn't let me. Sad There is always a message "Error 524 - Host error".
Is the page still online with just a temporary hosting problem or is it deleted already? Huh

Merge Mine VTC & UIS @ http://nz.nutty.one:9171
Also the pool is probably down. Undecided

Site fixed now. and refreshed.

mining pool - was taken down due to lack of interest / some changes in infrastructure going on here. if there is sufficient demand i'll bring it back to life.
Really good work on the new site, I like it a lot!  Cool

Re: What type of wallet do you use?

It all depends on how long one needs to save their bitcoins. But if one want to do more daily transactions than online wallets are more preferable. I use XAPO online wallet for my daily transactions because they don't have any fee for sending money and also their transactions are quite fast.
Seriously? I thought they are already requiring fees for every transaction like sending and requesting a withdraw hrmmm Huh What is true? Because I already stopped using it for having now a charge. I have some satoshis there that I've collected from their mobile apps maybe I could get it now.
As far as I know, transactions between Xapo wallets are without fees, so it is useful if you do a lot transactions with someone who also owns Xapo. But fees out/in the wallet are actually quite good as well, I think it is around 3k satoshi, which is 10-20 times lower than a "normal" transaction fee recently.
I use xapo like a web wallet. Really it's a good wallet. We can send bitcoin instantly from xapo to xapo account without any fees. That's one of good thing in xapo wallet.
Also we can send bitcoin out of xapo without paying fees. So for me, It's an amazing wallet. I don't have any problem with it since 2015.
Oh really? You can send bitcoin to some 'non-xapo' address without any fee?
I didn't try it recently, so I can't say it for sure, but they write on their official webpage, that outgoing transaction has a pre set fee 33750 sat (missed one zero, so that's why I said it's only 3k in my previous post). Still, it's cheaper than a regular transaction fees nowadays.
Here are the fees: https://in.xapo.com/fees/

Legit project, but what is the special features of this project?

I like how the project takes decentralization model really seriously, it has three mining channels (GPU and CPU PoW + PoS) and for me the most unique thing about the coin is probably LLD (Lower Level Database) which is much more faster, than a standard Oracle database.
If you want to go deeper, look on the Features page on official web: http://www.nexusearth.com/features.html
And if you want to see something really visionary, go to the Future Features section. Wink

You're right, possitive publicity is always better.  Smiley  But just remember how quickly we got above 1k.. One year ago, we dreamed even about $800, because we were somewhere around $400 or something.. On September we were on $600 and on New Years Eve we poped our champagne with $1k.. Two months later we reached ath at  $1400, so being around 1k again it is not any big disaster, we still have hundreds of % growth within one single year. I think it's amazing and current  btc price just makes me smile. Wink
Me too, but i fear for the ewbies that stepped in a month ago and they are making lots of losses every day. Also new bitcoin users wont step in now so that means no more adoption. They are choosing ethereum now, you can see it at google trends and in Africoins topic. Cmon even choosing ethereum above bitcoin, then you know that there is something wrong with btc.
Well, if bitcoin survived the fall from $1300 to $200 back in 2014, it will survive this little dip easily. Grin
And that almost all altcoins rise when bitcoin price falls, it is also a very well known scenario, people just move their funds from one coin to another. Recent trend in alts feels very possitive to me, because it means that people doesn't change their bitcoins back to fiat, but that they believe in crypto and leave their money in it. It is a proof that crypto adoption works. Wink

Seems we haven't quite yet left the triple digits behind for good.

and it seems it might still take a while longer before we will.

Aaand we are on 4 digits again.. Cheesy It starts to be quite exhausting to say good bye and hello to the triple digits all the time again and again. Grin
But seriously, there will still be probably some kind of oscillation around 1k btc before the new bottom will move above that level. Good thing is that we could see, that even when there was a thread of hard fork or ETF approval, we didn't get very deep and we can say that $900 is a reall bottom right now. If you compare it with 2014, bitcoin is much more stable than it used to be back in the times. Cool

Some price fluctuation is good for traders. I don't mind it as long as we trend upward. In fact, a slow rise with fluctuation is probably the best scenario.

The recent pumps and dumps of bitcoin it's heaven for experienced traders, because (without no offence to anyone) current market is full of noobs driven by emotions which panic sell with every little price change. And those pro traders, who then buy low are laughing hard. Wink
-400$, muh its heaven  Cheesy
If you consider yourself as an experienced pro trader, your current situation shouldn't bother you at all, because then you would know, that sooner or later, you'll be in green again. If you check your bitcoin balance every day and cry with every dip, then you rather shouldn't trade, because it will probably ruin your nerves. Grin
My advice is, don't sell, buy more. Wink
I am still 250$ in profit on each coin i have. But i think we are going lower. Trust seems comepletely lost and the market failed today to break the bearish pattern.
Just wait for some official news that any BU hard fork won't happen anytime soon and you'll see how quickly bitcoin  willgain  its trust back again.. As I said - sweet sweet emotions! Grin
But I understand your frustration, these situations will definitely slow down bitcoin price growth.

Bitcoin just hitted the bottom and now it's going up again. If you haven't bought more bitcoins to this moment, do it now or you will regret it one week later. Wink
On Mar 30 there will be another ETF denial and then the price will rocket to its previous hights again or even above it. Cool

I doubt if the market is reacting to ETF news any more. We are back to discussing the scaling issue and whether or not BTU will trigger a hard fork. The real moonshot will come when the scaling debate is behind us and there is no possibility of a fork.
Bitcoin market seems to be driven by emotions a lot and sometimes it looks like it almost doesn't matter what kind of info can make people restles. Grin But you are right, that the danger of hard fork influences current situation on the market the most. I talked about ETF primary because we already know some particular date of the decission, so people are focused on it.

And by the way, today I heard some unofficial info, that BU is rejected already, so lets see what will happen with btc price in next few hours / days...  Wink 🚀

still waiting for masternode pump lmao Cool
The whole concept of Syndicate is pretty interesting and quite unique on crypto market. I think that the coin is pretty undervaluated and maybe it's because it wasn't published in the right time.
These days, when bitcoin price drops and every 'masternode' coin is pumping, this time is ideal for these projects. So if the devs start to be more active again and some marketing will come, you may see a nice pump, because the marketcap of the coin is still very low. Wink

This is if the developer returns and shows the update (if any). And so it's a good time to merge coins for those who do not already believe in the project

But personally I do not believe in the developer's revival

Agree with you, we can see brighter tomorows only when (if) there'll be some active devs, it won't do its "pump" part just from nothing.
With active devs and some updates, the community will start to be more interested in the project again and good community always creates a solid base for a growth. Cool
We'll see if there will be some revival in the end, but this is a unique opportunity to make it alive and it may not happen again, so would be pitty to not catch it.

I just found a pattern regarding BTC/Nexus trading:

BTC up = Nexus up
BTC down = Nexus up

Oh, I think you got it, it seems that you really cracked the code!  Wink Grin
Now, everybody knows what to do when trading Nexus.. just need to buy more and more and more.. Cheesy Cheesy
