I believe that altcoins have a future though it might not be the case for all. There are ones with real potential while others may not succeed.

I'm currently hodling my altcoins since the exchange right now is kind of low. However, other people I know are actually buying bitcoins and etherium and investing on top cryptocurrencies since the prices are down.

It really depends on the person who owns the altcoins as they should be the ones to decide waht to do with it since it is theirs. But I understand that trying hodl it might actually yield to a greater amount.
