As long as no one comes with a better idea than holding, im going to keep holding and while I hold im going to keep stacking even more BTC, as much as I can, I will eat only cheap ramen and live under a bridge if that means I can buy even more BTC monthly. In 10 years it will be worth the extra effort.

Re: Bitcoin Halving Party 2016
by

Nope, because my family don't really use bitcoin and they are not a lot of people that I know that use bitcoin.  I think I can do some BBQ if the price after the halving will increase. That would be very awesome eating and seeing bitcoin growing. I think the price will be very interesting to watch in the month leading up, on the night of the halving I will be happily holding.  There should be a party somewhere in the US for all Bitcoin enthusiasts to celebrate.

The secret is just do not keep all eggs in one basket. That's one of the main rules you have to know, its the best to hold your bitcoins on multiple wallets so you can not lose them all at once by some hackers or something, its the best to do for your bitcoins.

So let's think for a while. Bitcoin is deflationary and over the past the value has always gone up so your coins are earning some of the best interest rates ever seen even though it looks like they are sat around.  Any investment to store your coins with someone else is going to come with risk for the % gains its probably not worth it for most of your stash. This is the safest way available today.

Re: Earning a living with bitcoin?
by

Not exaclty earning a living (almost impossible to cover regular costs here in Western Europe with only online income) but its nice to earn a -minscule- income on the internet. Salary nowadays from my day-job is royal so there's really no need to generate extra online income at this point, but it couldn't hurt to do it anyway.  Shocked

Re: 2016, The Year of Bitcoin?
by
labwork
on 18/02/2016, 13:12:48 UTC
i think 2016 will be a good year for bitcoin use and worldwide adoption, news coverage already increasing and many people using BTC and increased places actually accepting it, because adoption of bitcoin is spreading with each passing day, plus the requirement payment solution for online earnings and online shopping is also increasing with each passing day. And as bitcoin is invented and selected as digital currency and the world is on the technical development track with a highest speed, so 2016 will be the year of bitcoin.

Re: The future of Bitcoin
by

After vears of trying to break the blockchain technology that runs Bitcoin, the bankers and governments finally realized that because blockchain was a public ledger that kept all transaction and that this ledger could not be hacked or falsified; Bitcoin could not be stopped or blocked. Like email, and i-porn, it used the internet highway and without destroying the internet and its highways of communication, the blockchain technology could not be blocked.

The banks and governments decided on another plan called “f you can`t beat them, join them”. They decided that their only chance was to buy up all the Bitcoins. They started small and encouraged Bitcoin`s price to drop by demanding regulation, not realizing that the blockchain is just a public ledger that can not be regulated.

Re: Bernie Sanders will use bitcoin for economic growth?
by

on 18/02/2016, 13:10:16 UTC
I guess the more I think about it the more I'd like to see Bernie Sanders elected. His opinion regarding bitcoin is unclear but it can't be worse than the other asshole on the other side, who is probably backed by JP Morgan and other big banks, right? If Trump is elected it's gonna be bad for bitcoin, whatever. So yeah, go Bernie!!!  Grin

Re: Bitcoin Bank???
by

on 18/02/2016, 13:09:35 UTC
Why we need banks?? Its a digital money! We no need to manage any other organization. We can manage our wallet and Its better than bank You can see the transparent more than bank.  Well, maybe not a traditional bank per se. But a place where you can store bitcoins like a wallet but they pay interest? I mean if coinbase started using bitcoins we store in it to invest and pay interest, would that be considered a bank?

Re: Bitcoin is the global currency of Earth

Well, not yet... Global currencies on earth are USD, EURO, GBP etc. Bitcoin is still relatively unknown virtual currency but without big global influence.
This is reality and we should accept it. Of course, eventually i believe that bitcoin will become mainstream but this will not happen so quickly.

Re: Did anyone buy during $1200?

on 12/02/2016, 11:24:53 UTC
I didn't, sounds crazy that some people bought bitcoin for such a high price. I don't blame them though, nobody knows where bitcoin is going
Bitcoin is very unpredictable.

At the rate it was growing it didn't seem "such a price" at all, people were just thinking it would continue to rise indefinitely...

I see a great potential in business of buying and selling bitcointalk accounts , can be done to grow bitcoin, buy account when ranking is still a member and sell them when the full member, I think it's a very safe investment, all things considered.

Re: The thing that will destroy Bitcoin.

If you think carefully you'll notice anything has the potential to destroy Bitcoin, but not anytime soon (hopefully). As far as I am concerned, the best plan to stick with would be to simply just focus on more tactile moves in terms of growing and strengthening Bitcoin, rather than focusing on what could kill it it.  Grin
