I would recommend u to wait and have patience till the price of bitcoins goes high more than 1500$ .well it seems a quite far away now , but it will happen in the nearby soon and then u can sell ur bitcoins

To me there is still not any opportunity legit enough that induce me to invest my Bitcoins. Bitcoins are very prone to scam, once you send Bitcoin to someone, you can't claim it back unless one personally know the receiver. So better stay away from Bitcoin investments, soemething relatively better is altcoin investment, trading,etc.

What I don't understand is that if soft-forks are backward compatible why would other miners reject it? Doesn't backward compatibility mean that new blocks are seen as valid by old clients? And if you wait everyone to update what is the benefit for soft-fork? Is there a con of Hard-Fork if it has 95% support?

In bitcoin platform, corruption isn't necessary since it's decentralized and government has not control to it. For the developers, they can be corrupt but it's less likely to happen since they wouldn't do things that can affect them negatively
