Re: If you had $1M USD to setup mining op & sell first contract before 12/31?

Hello

Try at first with 50k$ GPU at home to learn.

Put the rest on DeFi.
If you have good experience on linux, then buy collateral coins and create and manage masternodes.
You could expect beetween 20% (with stable coins) and 300% (with new coins) APR depends on risk level you choose.

Nicejob

I like realtime calculation
I also like the distinction between 4/8GB and result by configuration (with 2 coins)

Today eth is 4k+
and it pays over  14 cents an mh at viabtc

at those numbers a 3070 makes over 8 usd a day.

so june 11 it earned 240
and july 11 it would be 480
and aug 11 it would be 720
and sept 11 it would be 960
and oct 11 it would be 1200

will that happen? maybe maybe not.

And yield is 5 times higher if you had hold your coins from last winter

Hello

I am trying chia mining since few days, but I have sometimes the not synced status :
Full Node Status
Status : Not Synced
Connection Status : Connected

So plots are unavailable for staking and are waiting for synchro.

I don't understand, network and internet are ok.
Usually, within few hours, synchro is resumed

Do you know what to do ?

Anyway fees will be near 0 when ETH network will increase by 100x. Vitalik announces it in july.
EIP1559 (which will be released in july too) is clearly become an irrelevant subject.

But this release would increase ETH usage, confidence and its price.

Re: Frequency vs country
by

120v or 240v better for mining? I mean country frequency, leaving a country like US that use 120v 60hz to another country that use 240v 50hz doesn't this impact mining in any ways?
no impact at all, the psu will automatically adjust the input 90v-240v, so basically lower the voltage will suck more ampere which is the cable need bigger on lower voltage

only price kwh affected on miner  Grin

of course it matters.
Power supply efficiency on 240V is 1 or 2 point better than 120V

It will not get 5k so easy ... There too many pools that will dumb ETH to stay around 2k. (Flexpool is doing that for example right now)
So 2k with EIP-1559 say goodbye to your profits.

Imagine Sparkpool to start dumbing their ETH ...

They have ETH 2.0 on the plans for the next year so they want cut profits from us and go into whales.

My 2 cents

My english is low. I don't understand what "to dumb ETH" means.

If I guess, you think some pools sell to keep ETH under 2k$.
I am sure they sell because they think that is the best yield. No conspiracy against ETH.

Nicehash fully converts to BTC
Using other software makes you free to keep your mined coins.
It is a different mining strategy

I don't understand this so popular reasoning

When ETH was about 100$ (2018 to begining 2020), the ROI with coin holding was much better (about 5 times from now)
All of you who stop mining when coins are low loosed lot of money.

Guys, how much MHs of hashrate should i expect with Phoenix miner for single Gtx 1070 gpu without overclocking and memory pills?

No need pills for 1070
Without OC, you'll get 25MH/s

Aren't you affraid to kill your GPU with such settings ?

I got 3060ti and 3070 and I realize that performances are identical. But I don't go so high in configuration. I prefer stability and durability (fans are not eternal at 100% speed).

Did somebody manage to get some? In UK are out of stock...

Yep I got 2 GPUs by checking every seconds
But very expensive 540€ each (Gainward GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Phoenix with 3 fans)

The video above (61MH @120W) made the decision of buying.

You trolls are crazy, buying gpus this expensive will only make things worse, you trolls never learn.

Are you kidding ? I am trying those cards. 1k€ investment is painless.
Mining is a competition. If you cannot follow, give up now.

Hello coinscrow

I don't understand very well the msOS.
I want to test it but I am not sure if my Windows install will still stay alive after booting with the usb flashed key.

Is your OS able to run on its own using only USB drive ?

Thanks

ETC can be mined.

I don't think so.

ETC has changed algo to reduce dag size and ASIC are disqualified.

Re: How to tweak RX480 Hashrate to reach 30Mhs/s
by
laineux
on 29/11/2020, 16:25:34 UTC
My operating system:
Win 10 x64
GPU: AMD 480 8gb as in this picture
video driver: Adrenalin 2020 ver. 20.4.2
Miner: lolMiner 1.6

without making any changes "lolMiner 1.6" gives me 22.23 MH/s on ETH.
All right for this GPU? Or can I do something to get better performance?

You need to modify the bios with software like this
https://www.techpowerup.com/download/ati-atiflash/
Search for a valid mining bios which is compatible with your GPU.
It is a bit tricky and boring... But if you have only one GPU, it worths it.

Ok, I tried :
Code:
PhoenixMiner.exe -bench 400 -coin ETC -pool mordor.pool.fault.dev:8008  -wal 0x008c26f3a2Ca8bdC11e5891e0278c9436B6F5d1E.Rig001

But connexion to pool is rejected.

Nobody is using this pool now. I supposed, it is broken...
Pool don't like rig name - remove it and leave only wallet

You're right, without rig name connexion is OK
But all shares are rejected...

I will test live in few hours.

Hello PhoenixMiner

I am trying bench mode on ETC to test my RX580 4G, but RAM size seams still too low

My bat command :
Code:
PhoenixMiner.exe -bench 400 -coin ETC

Log shows :
Code:
2020.11.27:11:33:06.056: GPU2 GPU2: DAG size limited from 4223 MB to 4023 MB
2020.11.27:11:33:06.981: GPU2 GPU2: Free VRAM: 3.951 GB; used: 0.049 GB
2020.11.27:11:33:06.981: GPU2 GPU2: DAG size limited from 4223 MB to 4023 MB
2020.11.27:11:33:06.981: GPU2 GPU2: Disabling DAG pre-allocation (not enough VRAM)
2020.11.27:11:33:06.981: GPU2 GPU2: Allocating DAG for epoch #400 (3.93) GB
2020.11.27:11:33:07.002: GPU2 GPU2: Generating DAG for epoch #400

And I only get 1MH/s

Is my command wrong ?

Thanks
