Any chance you can assist in a deposit not showing up? I'm unable to create a support case so the only option seems to be here and/or twitter (next). Please DM me for additional details if required.

Okay, I can tell you already that this is a scam. Not even talking about the size of the loan, just concider this:

How can you say that you want to pay 20% interest in 6 months (which comes down to 40% yearly), and also state that you think that the bank interest is too high? Interest in a bank is usually 5-8% these days, and you think that's too high compared to the 40% you're offering? Just leave, scammer.

do a bit of research before making assumptions. turkey has massively high interest rates and now is NOTHING compared to what it was in the late 90s and early 00s when it was over 100%. annual inflation rate came in at a four-month high of 11.20 percent in September, way above the central bank's target of 5 percent, and core inflation hit 10.89 percent, its highest level since February 2004. Interest Rate in Turkey averaged 59.26 percent from 1990 until 2017, reaching an all time high of 500 percent in March of 1994 and a record low of 4.50 percent in May of 2013.

Comparing to other loans: I can buy a house for just 5-20% deposit.

And the value of the home, so you're putting down a 105-120% deposit. If you default, the house is no longer yours.

great info so far. thanks for all the advise. lots to consider now and change just on the above

my next question would be is there any way to make the CPU more efficient? Am I getting the most out of this CPU per thread? I had a quick look over at https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison#Intel but didn't find the same CPU for comparison.

I'm running cpuminer-1.0.2 compiled with
CFLAGS="-O3 -Wall -msse2 -march=native" ./configure

running on 2x E5-2670 @ 2.60GHz
getting ~865.00 khash/sec/thread

you're probably looking to average no more than 1 share / 2 minutes.

I'm getting about 1 share / 1 minute it seems - is that right??
Code:
[2012-06-06 02:56:13] 32 miner threads started, using SHA256 '4way' algorithm.

CPU Mining | Is it worth it with these numbers?

I've just started mining after a day or so trying to get one to work and compile properly with my setup. Now that I'm up and running I'm wondering how rewarding the work being done is.

I've joined the deepbit.net pool and set up to use the Pay Per Share scheme.

Server cost <= $0.01 / hr
CPU mining generates ~27,500 khash/sec

With this kind of setup is it worth it to continue?

Thanks in advance
