Projects without a whitepaper are a no go for me personally. A whitepaper and a road map are really essential

Hard to say how long the bear market will last, but I realized its pretty stable at the moment. So there could be a price Movement upwards any time soon, but I doubt we will see the ATH again this year.

Always the same question and youll get probably zillion different answers. I would suggest you dig a bit deeper, look into projects, learn how crypto works and then choose a handful of coins you really believe in
We all know about the volatility of the crypto market, but somehow we still preach about the Hodl doctrine. What keeps you motivated to do so? and what sort of trust do you have in cryptocurrencies?
Investors like us are into predictions and discussions, but are we close to accuracy?

good question- its simply the fact that I believe in the mission of crypto. I have to admit looking at my portfolio hurt a lot during the last months but Im still here for it.

It hunk it would be too soon to think that alts can survive without BTC. They are still dependent on Bitcoin - but in the next years only few alts will survive and then we can talk again.

Bitcoin is death, long live Bitcoin. Srsly these threads come up every single day. But BTC doesnt die so easily only because it is not at its ATH anymore

I think if you are not into swing or day trading, TA might not be that important for long term investment- other factors come into play.

Everyone hates these bloody days - but they will always be there. So if you cant stand it better leave, cut your losses- or stick to one coin and dont check the news or portfolio for the next few years

Its not a threat. Maybe for bank jobs but not for everyone else. In contrary crypto is just starting out. We will see the real potential in the next 10 years

The value of an Altcoin lies in the tech behind it and its support. If I can see that a lot of people trust a project and do my own research on top of that I think I cant do anything wrong

My strategy is to hold, I basically only invested in projects that I believe in and that is longterm. The crypto market wont disappear.

Re: Most Alt teams have abondened their projects!
by
lavanderN
on 08/08/2018, 11:34:31 UTC
IMO 2 groups of people belong to that problem: the unreliable team and those people who trust blindly and invest money in these projects.
I am hopeful that this bull run will take us to the highs that we're all asking. This is good for all the bitcoin holders and someone who says that this is ugly holding alts. And that is causing their portfolio damaged.
Unfortunately for many this is not a bull run, right now almost all the market is down and it does not seem like it is going to recover soon, but that is irrelevant we need to be prepared to hold our coins for years, that is the only way we are going to get profits or in the case of all of those that invested when the price was very high this is the only way to get their money back.
Yeah I've seen that there's big drop since few days ago and all of our expectation didn't met. I've been always prepared with any consequences and outcome from the market so I don't really think that we'll stay on this line for a very long time or if it will, I can calmly watch the market and do something else to remove that intense emotion.
I think that it was just the beginning, but it does not last for a long time. but still people are expecting that another bull run is going to start and this time bitcoin price will reach to 15000 in a single rally. I think that we should prepare ourselves for that bull run because it will be the best opportunity to make some money or at least to recover our previous lost.
I don't even know why some people actually thought it was a bull run. It was a simple recovery that warranted a correction which is what's happening right now. Wait until the real bull run happens since that would likely propel us above 10k
I agree - it was no bullrun at all. Youll probably have the usual weak hands selling right now.
