Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order

is there a way to tell difference between a real and a Knock off bitmain S9? The resellers are all claiming they have it in stock, as many as 1000 Pcs if we want them today. Seriously not sure how they can have so many always if it sells so fast?

Crypto ATM software development

The ATMs by Lamassu and Genesis are around $7000 but it looks like the hardware part is only around $1000 for a High end ATM in china. Can some one direct me in right direction to develop Bitcoin ATM software? Hire Blockchain developers? outsource to existing company that has experience in blockchain technology?

Going to China for a Bulk Purchase, does this makes sense?
by

Just like everyone, i am sick of watching Bitcoin go up up up, while Bitmain hold my money and wants 2 month to ship a new S9. We also know the Jan batch might not get shipped in Jan and who knows by then BTC is over $11,000. Next logical step is to pay more and get it right away, but the ones that actually dont' look like scam are selling for over $3500 on ebay. Infact, anything under $3000 seems shady, for example this one guy says i am using it to test it for few days and i ordered one, next thing i know he runs his own farm and sell them after running for over 8 months in a newly printed reciept and import stamp on bitmain box.

So, i am considering flying to china and actually looking at the product myself, shipping it to US myself right away. Based on some 200 Resellers i could find  online in Shenzhen, it looks i can get the price for a brand new S9 in hand stock with 6 months manufacturer warranty down to around $2800 with PSU for the top model (14 TH/s). There are few ways i can do this. I can invest my own money and buy 50 of them, list them on ebay and easily make $600 or so per machine, perhaps more. I could also do a group buy and get the price down even further. I dont' know.. Thinking out loud. Any suggestions? Anyone want to work together? I don't want you to trust me or anything, just looking to partner with good people for good business.

Re: Indian Electricity rate
by

As far as India is concerned I do not find the electricity is cheaper any how here. There are some countries which has very negligible or free sort of electricity being provided. Also cooling those mining rigs is too expensive and thus mining is a bad idea in India.

Did you do any analysis with comparison to other countries? What countries did you compare it to? Did your add the cost of moving to that country and trying to set up in a foreign nation? Part of himachal & Jammu Kashmir has electricity as low as 3 Rs per KW which and those areas are pretty cool...wouldn't that beat 99% of the world's electricity cost and cooling factor?

In India electricity is provided by different organisations hence rate is not fixed for whole country , but the rural and undeveloped areas get subsidy mining in such areas is quiet profitable.

Any particular area where you know the electricity rates? Also, do you know if that area has power outage problems? Usually rural areas in india has power outage for 30% of the times n a day.. .Some parts of punjab still has outage of 4 hours every day... That will eat up all the profit and the damage to hardware when turned off directly without shutting down

isn't just straight up investing better than mining? I mean an L3+ in India is costing around 2.5 Lakh at least (if you are lucky) and will take a year just to get your money back

Put that 2.5 In BTC, chances of getting yor money out in 3 months are way higher

Welcome to an all new universe. I really acknowledge the idea you thought of but I doubt that its a good plan. I dont think you are first who has thought of it. What you require is a good platform such a website or app. Mere posting on btctalk isnt going to fetch you much.
Which part of this is not a good plan?

I never said I am the first one to think of any of the items I mentioned (mining, trading, arbitrage etc). In fact I have never done anything in any business where I was the first one to think of the idea. I just saw an opportunity and worked hard on it. Actually now that I am thinking about it, as a kid also I never did anything where I was the first one to do it, going to school? Already invested by others, playing sports, already others did it, golfing, tiger woods taught the world but guess what? I was very very good at all of those things.

Website or app - takes literally an hour to put together a very nice website and app. What does that achieve?

Don’t plan on more talking on btctalk

Thanks for stopping by
