If THEY stopped because of the announcement, that would have been pretty dumb as it would have been kind of an admission of guilt. I would not have done that
If the manipulation exist maybe it's being done by BTC and LTC Holders aware of the true potential of BlackCoin.

I got 3 bc wallets 2 of them stake the full amount of bc however 1 of them doesn't (haven,t used the only stake this amount option) any one got any ideas pls?
Thats pretty normal. Your Coins have the CHANCE to stake after 8h.

Lets Be More Proactive
Let address the elephant in the room. Some are concerned with the recent daily price drops. Seasoned investors keep telling the newcomers to calm down and everything will be fine, but it is hard for investors to calm down when they see the price slowly drop each day. I agree ups and downs are part of any financial product and unfortunately down days and down weeks are part of the game. However, that does not mean we need to sit around and watch the price slowly drop and not do anything about it. I witnessed the same behavior with the Mint community, and after weeks of delusional blind "faith" I cashed out. It has been nearly two months and they are still waiting for the price to recover. I respect the opinions of the other seasoned investors but we need to be realistic. Investors want to invest in winners not "losers". It is hard to convince investors we are a winner when they see the trend line pointing downwards.
At the end of March and the early part of April we were proactive at getting the word out about BlackCoin, and we were able to see clear results from our efforts. Last week and this week we did not do any promotional activities similar to what we previously did and the downward price reflects that. Our press releases and promotional campaigns do work and you can see the results for yourself. Just match the days and weeks of our press releases with the market history and you will clearly see the effect of our efforts.
We have had a lot of positive news over the past several days and we have not capitalized on that news. Next week we should send out two or three press releases. We have to keep pumping news out every single week like clockwork. Every time we are added to a new exchange, or a new partnership is established, we need to issue a press release.
Some people have this misconception I am against the multi-pool. I would like to publicly state I am not against the multi-pool. However, I believe too much focus and dependency is being put on the multi-pool. The multi-pool does not buy BC at the current sell price, they wait for dips. So this idea of the multi-pool buying up all the BC is just a myth. Also, please stop assuming that everyone who mines on the multi-pool is not dumping coins back into the system. I cannot express enough that crypto-currency is big business. Just because we do not have conclusive proof that there is a coordinated attack against BlackCoin doesn't mean it is not happening.
So can we finally open up discussion to other creative ideas and solutions. The multi-pool and press releases are just a couple of tools in our arsenal. We have a very talented community and I am sure we can come up with more solutions if we brainstorm together!

This community is great but it needs expand to rise.
Some event new features need to bring us new people on board.
We cannot go higher with only 1000 people on board.
We need more people like you like pool developers like marks who are able to create something.
I agree with this part 100%. This forum is a great tool to attract new talented people. However, what rational thinking person in their right mind would want to join us if we are attacking each other and acting juvenile? I understand there will always be trolls but the key members including myself have to change how we conduct ourselves moving forward. I would really like to hear some ideas on short term and long term solutions.
There is this idea about crypto 2.0. BC is the leader of the new generation.

So WC bombs and someone's driving the price down for BC. guess where the money from the upcoming giant WC dump is supposed to go.
I wouldn't really call a 400sat move over a few minutes "driving the price down", especially when there's almost no volume to speak of on either side, but it's definitely lighter on the buy-side . Unless you are talking about a different exchange from Mintpal - in which case I'll shut my mouth.
Until the order book is more substantial I think we could see some dramatic swings in many coins... although obviously WC will likely be a bloodbath when/if it comes back. Market movements (even amongst disparate properties) are contagious to some extent. Rough waters ahead for a few hours perhaps.
I'm digging out some BTC paper wallets as we speak just in case.
(But I don't really expect anything too dramatic on the BC side - who knows... this might turn into a real bull-run as everyone flees shakier clone coins and returns to BC).

Troiste and IconicExpert, I sincerely apologise. I didn't mean to come off as not supporting the walk on Wall Street. I think it is a sexy and sly event.
Also the fact, as you state, yes it has the complete potential of creating a massive ripple for the market especially in the media.
It is poetic in a sense to have these beautiful ladies discussing about cryptocurrencies to new people especially on the iconic Wall Street. The reason why it is poetic is because it is in a sense a mix of old and new.
However, I do really hope it is pulled off well, and I am certain IconicExpert can handle it professionally, and with etiquette.
Let's all settle aside the differences and do this for the greater of the coin, the community, and the whole of cryptocurrencies in general. We all have the same goal, and to be pioneering what we believe in that is larger than we can ever imagine.

First off, we are all adults here. We all have made a decision to invest in certain coins, be'd this BlackCoin, MintCoin, WhiteCoin or any other Coin. I welcome a healthy discussion about why one should invest (or not) in a coin, but there are limits as to what you should do & say about other coins.
Every coin has it's fanatics, it's bagholders and it's people with ulterior motives. Yes there are people that just want to get WhiteCoin fixed to make sure they can exit their bag. There are also people that spread misinformation about other coins in the hope that these people will invest in BlackCoin. I would say: let everyone make their own decision. It has absolutely no use to attack other coins on their own thread. Yes, i know that there are fanatics from other coins doing it here but luckily BTCTalk has an ignore button. USE IT. And stop going to Coin threads and spreading misinformation there. If you want a healthy discussion with other coins: then do this, but stop with the blant trolling and fudding of other coins.
The thing is, i'm putting a massive amount of hours into BlackCoin making sure it succeeds. And i'm not the only one. We have a dedicated team that is growing by the week, people concentrating on specific countries, people concentrating on specific services and so on. Each and everytime some one fuds another thread the name of BlackCoin will be viewed bad by someone. And that has no use for neither you or me. If you want to point out something about another coin, sure, go for it, but don't drag the name of BlackCoin in your discussion.

Soepkip, I'm a big fan of BC, in fact I'm pretty much all in having sold up most of my other crypto in order to get hold of as much as I can. I love the community support and the crazy smart devs.
But I have to say the shenanigans of some senior BC people over in the WC IRC channels in the last 24hours has left a bitter taste in my mouth. If our aim is to be a serious alternative to BTC and to be taken seriously by merchants etc then this kind of nonsense makes us look like petulant bullies and does nothing to further our cause. I'm no fan of copy and paste imitation but surely we're confident enough in our coin and our community to let our advantages speak for themselves?

I've never been in on of their channels or chats and never will be, but it surely won't just ignore their spam here and let it look like a legit post for everyone who does not have those guys on ignore or comes here for the first time.
