Bitcoin is a form of digital currency, created and held electronically. No one controls it. Bitcoins aren’t printed, like dollars or euros – they’re produced by people, and increasingly businesses, running computers all around the world, using software that solves mathematical problems.

A crypto currency like Bitcoin gives you the ability to make transactions without the need of a central bank.
Bitcoin is the gold for the crypto currency, it is the longest and has the largest capitalization of the market. Although bitkoin is in many respects superior to traditional ways of paying and transferring money, there are, however, certain obstacles to its widespread acceptance.

Re: BitCoin Scamming Business is Booming!

Last year and so far, the bitter consumer adoption has grown significantly and a range of retailers, including huge global corporations, have decided to beat their hands on the digital coin. Moreover, the authorities have begun to demonstrate a better understanding of technology and the blockchain to use bitcoin is recognized as an innovative technology.
Fraudulent exchanges and cloud mining, phishing schemes, pump-and-dumb IPOs, and many more are current security risks that bitcoin users face every day. Only this week, three mining services seem to have gone bankrupt.

Artificial Intelligence Coin  is a transaction-centric digital currency based on the Bitcoin software and allows to immediately complete digital transactions, because similar to cash, there is no wait for confirmation. There is also no expensive proof-of-work effort.

Stumbled onto this gem through a sleeper investment I had in Novus...

Watching out for this big time. Question though, how does this technology plug into novus?

Exciting times for AI.

Re: Is there any research being done to make the blockchain less energy consuming?
by
leepfrog
on 19/11/2017, 06:14:44 UTC
The reality is that we are probably stuck with energy-guzzling cryptocurrencies, at least for a while. In the meantime, maybe true believers would be wise to invest their digital coins in renewable electricity sources.

The one in the best position to supplant proof of work is called “proof of stake.” Whereas proof of work rewards participants for spending computational resources, blockchains that use proof of stake would select validators based in part on the size of their respective monetary deposits—their stake. This would be massively more energy efficient, but the concept is still unproven at a large scale and has a number of kinks that need working out.

Before launching an ICO, you might be interested in what an ICO actually means. There is a detailed explanation of the concept. Because all ICO campaigns are not suitable for any business. So before deciding how to conduct a crowdsale of tokens, one ought to reflect and consider if they even should conduct it at all.

It is important to understand the history of equity markets to understand how the crypto markets will evolve. Fifteen years ago, financial markets were less sophisticated, and you had traders on every floor. Traders bought stocks and they did some re-balancing from time to time. That was pretty much it. Now, computers and machine learning process the data and execute trades, not traders. Hedge funds in the financial markets today predominantly use algorithms and quantitative trading. We are going to see the crypto markets evolve in that same direction, but crypto will evolve 10 times faster than the way it did in the traditional equity markets.

Re: Do Banks fear cryptocurrency
by

It is logical to think like 'can a market as young and volatile as cryptocurrency be successfully partnered with Artificial Intelligence to produce a profitable outcome?'. With market capitalization in the low millions up to low billions, cryptocurrency markets present too small an opportunity to interest most trading banks and hedge funds. They use the power of their deep pockets coupled with AI to generate massive profits from high-frequency trading where a few millisecond advantage over competitors can generate big returns.

Podemos pensar que Estados Unidos es el país con mayor implantación o uso del Bitcoin al ocupar el primer lugar en número de descargas absolutas, pero esto no es así. Si ordenamos la lista por número de descargas por habitante, la visión cambia totalmente.
