Re: DID I MAKE A MISTAKE INVESTING IN BITCOIN?
by
lestherat
on 03/10/2019, 07:09:32 UTC
You know this question is unavoidable...

DID I MAKE A MISTAKE INVESTING IN BITCOIN?

A lot of people have heard of the benefits achievable with BTC investments and decided to invest.
The recent market setbacks have brewed a very big question in the minds of new investors...

What will be your response to this question?

Its all about time, remember years ago some guys was very happy selling his bitcoins at 1 usd, also people who bought at 100 usd thought they make a big mistake,

dont know at what price you bought, but remember, is its all about time, try to average down if you still have some funds, or wait for low price, thing is nobody

really knows how low can go bitcoin or when the price start to go up again, dont be desperate, remember one of the rules of crypto is Buy Low and Sell High.

Authy if you have an iPhone, or Google Authenticator on Android - necessary to use 2 Factor authentication

Blockfolio or Delta - to always keep an eye on your investesments, very usefully if you have altcoins around exchanges, easy way to check all in a round

Some coins have mobile wallets, i suggest dont use them, you can lose your phone easily and dont want to lose your crypto too.

If you are android user, be careful with fake apps, yobit and other sites are impersonated by fake apps to steal your money.

You will start receiving a lot of scam emails, always double check every email you got, dont click on any link, unless you are sure about the source,

coinbase, blockchain, and a lot of crypto related apps or sites are always impersonated by scammers.

I dont suggest trading on phones, if with big screens is hard to see the full perspective, with small screen is very very hard, and also not good for your eyes  Grin

Exchanges are not a Banks, never never leave on exchanges more than you can afford to lose

Exchanges can be hacked, or run out of business, or like cryptobridge asking now for kyc.

By the way this requirement only for US citizens, if you want to withdraw, just use a VPN or Proxy

Update:

Only bad thing is right now, api only connect to US nodes, EU nodes seems down.

If you want to change them, you cant. This is very strange, they are forcing all users go through KYC requirements  Undecided

Hello dear crypto friends,
since a long time I was not updated about crypto and couldn't find something minimalistic that shows me the news list happened in the past and daily... so I did on the weekend for myself and this is what came out:

https://btc.getsome.news/ is for BTC but you can also click on crypto, ETH, or ripple... since these were the only I invested and interested for myself.

Check out... No ads, no tracking, just quick access to btc-related news publications. I hope you like it.

Cool, thanks for sharing, i like there is no ads on the site, and as you say quick access, easy to read on phone, gonna check about tracking but it seems good until now

I also like the hour of the post and the link to a lot of crypto related sites like theverge, kvraudio, techcrunch, mashable, cointelegraph, mirror.co.uk, valuewalk, techmeme,

newsbtc, finance.yahoo, cacm.acm.org, bitcoinmagazine, letstalkbitcoin, cybercity.biz, sensortechforum, finextra, pypi, etc, some of this sites are new to me, so is always

welcome a new sources to learn. Again, thanks for sharing your site, hope you can get back some of the effort, you should add your btc, eth, ltc, doge address for donations.

Crypto-Bridge: mandatory KYC starting 01 Oct 2019. No escape/functionality without KYC.

Would like to know if anyone was successful with KYC or whether it's a scam to get even more personal info.

I still can trade today, and i didnt get asked about send any document, maybe only for you US people

Of course is not a scam, im being using cryptobridge since 2017 without any problem, in fact i love to trade on cryptobridge, sometimes you can get some nice arbitrages

and is not full of bots, damn how i hate bots.

If they ask me for my KYC documention, i have no problem to send them, but is up to you.

by

Litecoin still have more than 98% of total scrypt hash, so after Bitcoin, Litecoin is the most secure crypto coin on the planet.

Litecoin is totally undervalued coin, but well, all crypto scene needs more confidence again, so far Litecoin is traded on all crypto exchanges, in around 5 minutes your transfer

is confirmed, the price is almost the same on all exchanges, and the fees for withdraw is around between .1 to .5 usd

I use to mine Litecoin, so bad at this price mining doesnt cover even half of the electricity bill, but i really really like Litecoin, i hope better times comes to all of us.

Re: Different stable coins
by
lestherat
on 30/09/2019, 22:22:06 UTC
Tether coin (USDT) is the most popular and controversial stablecoin, a cryptocurrency tied to a stable asset such as gold or units of a fiat currency.
Supply 4,108,044,456 USDT
Volume 17,077,127,568 USDT

USD Coin (USDC) is a relatively fresh stablecoin pegged to the US dollar. It was launched on September 26, 2018, in collaboration between Circle and Coinbase.
Supply 426,686,876 USDC
Volume 160,993,544 USDC

TrueUSD (TUSD) is a fully collateralized, legally protected and transparently verified ERC-20 token.
Supply 190,126,990 TUSD
Volume 118,105,273 TUSD

As you can see the most used stable coin is Tether (USDT)

And be careful using TUSD, is an ERC-20 token and not all exchanges admit that coin.

Check in your exchanges where you use to trade what is the coin they use, withdrawal fees, and make your choice, sometimes you can enjoy a little arbitrage.

Re: Altcoiners, don't give up yet. Bitcoin can't do it alone.
by
lestherat
on 30/09/2019, 17:37:35 UTC
Bitcoin is what it is now thanks to altcoins, a lot, lot of people join to crypto thanks to altcoins like Doge, and that since years ago.

Just imagine a nocoiner trying to send bitcoin to a wrong address, or made a mistake writing the amount to send like a fee instead.

A nocoiner trying to upgrade his bitcoin wallet without backup up his wallet dat file.

Nocoiners need altcoins to learn about crypto and how to send transactions without fear, altcoins are necessary to practice.

Also the point on just telling a nocoiner to invest +8,000 usd to buy only 1 bitcoin, nobody likes to have .01 or .001, 8k usd is a lot of money for most people around the world

Global population distribution by income
15% are totally Poor
56% survive with Low income
13% are Middle class
9%  Upper-middle class
7%  Highest income

Forget about Poor and Low income people, the income for middle class is around 50-60k usd per year, we really think they can spend 8k usd to buy a single bitcoin

Thats leave only 15% of world people able to invest in 1 bitcoin.

But thanks to altcoins around 29% of world can afford to buy 1 ethereum or 1 litecoin

Thanks to alcoins 85% of world can afford to buy 1 Ripple or 1 Doge

Altcoins are necessary for Bitcoin to survive.

The Digital Gold token is 100% backed by the real gold. Amount of physical gold stored can be verified at any time. We guarantee GOLD token's liquidity.

Unlimited amount of GOLD can be purchased/redeemed at our website instantly 24/7.

Regards,

https://gold.storage (https://gold.storage)

I need to say, this is one of the projects that is capturing my attention last days, i also like the low supply of tokens, your webpage looks very proffesional, the idea is very old since 2015 a lot

of coin projects backed by gold exist, all failed or turn into scams, i have no intention to offended but what warranty we have if you or someone of your team run away with gold bullions,

all of us love our privacity, but with this kind of idea and if you want to be the only a most successful project of stable coin backed by gold, you need to show yourself, lot of investors

love to know who is behind projects, we want to know the face behind each project, examples we dont know who is Satoshi, but we know who is Vitalik Buterin, Charlie Lee, Sasha Ivanov,

a face is important for a lot of investors, more if you have totally control of that gold bullions, and i knock on wood, but if you die, who is the next on charge.

Love the idea of this coin, and for sure im gonna invest some, but i hope you take into account this tip.

Best of luck to your project.

Re: This will help to improve your trading
by
lestherat
on 29/09/2019, 21:02:03 UTC
hi traders i am sharing my mistakes and experience so that it will help you

here are the mistakes i did and the with experience i got answers to my mistakes

1) dont (care or think) too much about your money while trading this will reduce your confidence and make our decisions to reverse
and put money which you dont need

2) learn about money management (i know you might have heard about this many times , this is a huge topic to explain )
in short

remember trading and investing is a business, you have to risk something to gain something ,
so here is what you can do , risk is in your hand and you dont know how much rewards you will get so all you can do is control your risk , so calculate your risks and then enter trades and wait with patience

at first your goal must be to protect your capital , and then protect your profits , dont risk everything

3) Do not get panic by watching others analysis , remember panic is not good for trading, be confident with your analysis

4) if you have got good profits then keep it as a back up capital , when there are bad days if you lose your capital this back up capital will help you

5) dont trade if markets are too much volatile , no trade is also a trade , relax on that days watch some comedy films

6) dont ever think to recover your losses , or trade against

7) if you have entered trade by calculating risk then dont exit in middle wait for your targets , fluctuations are common

8 ) one of my friend told me this --- to keep track of trades
like why we lost that trade , why that trade reached its target, keep a record of this   and just go through this when you are free trust me it will help too much

9) everyday you will not be profitable so set a limit for loss everyday if it is reached than stop trading ( i have lost money before without doing this )

10) If your finger is stuck somewhere, in real life you must think to get your finger out of there , but in trading if your finger(trade) is stuck then you must cut it and get out of that trade, because in trading finger(capital) grows back ( this i learnt by watching psychology videos )

11) I know many of you have heard this points before , but remember until you dont put your personal interest and do trading by following rules nothing will change
and success is  not easy we must work-hard to achieve it

12) i am sure if you follow this rules you will see changes in your trading ,

if any experienced traders do have some points that will help traders please highlight it

13)But remember, never put your eggs in one basket, this way even if one of your investments is on a down trend, you can still recover the loss from another investment. This point by (nydiacaskey01)

You have explained things in detail, if someone read it carefully and adopt all these things, atleast he/she can survive in this market. Trading is a hard business to do but it can give you the highest return as compared to all other businesses. Trading is a dynamic business and there are some golden rules which need to be followed in trading.
1. Never invest money you badly need.
2. Never risk more than 2.5% of your capital in a single trade.
3. Do not trade w/o SL.
4. Keep your fear and greed behind while trading.
5. Make a plan and remain stick to it.

If one follows such rules, winning trading game is not much difficult.

Awesome tips here, also i want to add a few

1. Never fall in love with altcoins, only love BTC and only think in have more BTC.   (i use to be a collector of shitcoins, almost all are down 90-95% and others turn into dead projects)

2. Use exchanges with Stop Loss tool, and learn how to use it, lets say if you buy any altcoin at any price, set your stop loss at -5% or -10% just to be sure in case the price down while you sleep

3. If you want to learn but you have fear, you can start being a day trader, a day trader always stay in btc or usd/eur, when they wake up they start to trade but at the time to sleep they sell all into btc/usd/eur

4. Try to find a way to increase slowly your capital, learn about Proof of Stake coins, use faucets or use signatures campaigns to increase your btc.

5. Never leave your coins in an exchanges, keep only the necessary to trade, a lot of guys and myself lose money because some exchanges got hacked, Remember Exchanges are not banks.

6. Learn how to store your coins safely, read about Trezor, Ledger, to store your coins, if you have your coins in your pc, always make a backup of your wallet.dat  (i know a guy who lost 300 bitcoins restoring his pc)

7. Always try to ROI first recover your investment, keep proffits and trade with that, as pundit and steve57 said, greed is bad, panic is bad, fear is bad.

8. Sometimes you need to cut loses, we need to deal with that and learn from it.

9. Be aware of scams, icos, cloudmining, never never trust in anyone, read, research, learn, read again, years ago, i got scammed by 2 cloudmining companies Gawminers and Ltcgear, if sounds to good then is not real.

10. Love what we do, trade is the best job ever, i read years ago this, "A good trader can win in a week more than a normal average person in a year" Not an easy task but with perseverance and some luck is real.

11. Keep trading and learning no matters if you are a Pro trader or Noob Trader, luck and mistakes are part of this journey, In 2017 i made 50k usd in a day, months ago i lose 50k usd in a day, and still trading.

Im living only for trading crypto since 2014 and i love it.

Share some love if you like this post  Wink

Hi Astargath, i want to ask, what is the relation of this project with apM coin posted by you in same day on this topic  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5187997.0

Both projects are from South Korea, posted in same day and the OP looks designed by same guy, both projects without real information about the coins, probably both

projects looking for an Ico, not offense but with this similarities is hard to believe if the projects are real or just like all the scam icos launched in 2017-2018.

Thanks, and i have no intention to offended or bother you.

They are designed by the same people because I had them designed by the same person. They are posted by Astargath on the same day because he was asked to publish them on the same day.

Is it that hard to realize that Asia's biggest blockchain event just ended (one would expect "legendary" status would imply better knowledge of this space), and a number of blockchain projects would meet marketing agencies on this event, concluding to one of them placing multiple clients on this forum at the same time?

With that said, not sure how you yielded your merit but it doesn't hurt to do a bit of research before making unfounded accusations.

I'm not going to teach you how to Google.

With this kind of agressive answer, and after reading you ban from telegram the user Olatunjex, i have no doubt on calling both projects totally SCAM

New investors please avoid to invest on  ELYNET and apM coin, both managed by this HatuSS

In fact i never do unfounded accousation, my question was real, but banning people from telegram and your agressivite on your answers is not good for your Scam projects, you know,

if you want to attract victims, you should be more polite with interested people and not to be an asshole.

I can see that these 900 were on your mind when you came to the forum after a long break exactly on the day when yobit launched its campaign after.

When I see people who used to write 1 post per month and suddenly yobit offers them a dollar per post and they jump to 20 posts a day and have the nerve to even brag about it like it's some achievement.

I spend 8-9 hours yesterday using my max cap of 20 post, today i get a warning about i cant made 20 post, boltz maybe only can made 7-8 post per day, but i have the time to write the 20, now im not sure if i can

Meanwhile i became Legendary member with only 950.

And if i didnt post for few months is not your business, remember on bear markets there is so little to say.

I join in this campaign because i lose +50k usd on Yobit, and in my mind i want to get some back,

Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers
by
lestherat
on 28/09/2019, 03:43:09 UTC
The Lisk Foundation is liquidating its assets in an on-going strategy to provide enough liquidity for the projects expenses. Currently, they are following the rule to have enough fiat to cover 12 months of expenses.

In the month of July, Lisk deposited the following cryptocurrencies to Bitcoin Suisse for liquidation:

    4.488,71406161 BCH on July 5th
    8.488,69406759 BSV on July 5th
    8.488,6940663 BTG on July 10th
    84.886,9406727 BCD on July 10th

They liquidated them into:

    1.026.612,11 CHF in July
    1.770.977,32 CHF in August

This totaled at 2.797.721,90 CHF.

To sustain 12 months in FIAT, we are looking to further liquidate some of our crypto assets. We will liquidate all remaining 4000 BCH, and enough BTC to sustain approximately 12 months again.

They spend 934,910.52 CHF in August for expenses like Development, Marketing, Bounties and operations, so right now they have the CHF to cover almost 4 months, not counting other currencies.

By the way, Lisk foundation should buy Bitcoin right now, and not liquidating crypto assets.

If big players of crypto are liquidating at this price, near future is not looking good for us  Cry

This is the Total Assets Held by the Lisk Foundation

As you can see above this liquidation is all about keeping their nice jobs as coders....why pesky work for someone else...when you  can liquidate LISK and get another year

of self-employment as coders out of this LISK project. So naw, they will drain this to the bone before having to work for someone else again. Long term planning like

buying Bitcoin and other such is not as sure a thing as funding your project 1 year into the future. IF no future arrives that works and LISK dies..hell, at least you had a

few years of trying to be independent and then you go off and work as a coder someplace else. The way they manage is all about status quo..the only risk the devs ever had

was the original ICO and they have made plenty of BTC off that by now to do as they please. Human nature the above hedge is.

You are right, with the fiat funds and the crypto assets they have, Lisk foundation can survive the next 3-4 years without the need to do something else, our only concern

is if they gonna liquidated the 7 million Lisk coins they own in reserve, i hope Mark still in love with Lisk in a few years  Grin .

By the way, i had to restore my laptop and i lose the txt file with my passphrases, i found a paper with the words written and only the first one works, but the second passphrase

is not working, i think i wrote bad the second one, so my question is, there is no hope to recover that funds right ?  Cry

Friendly advice, dont trust in nobody, even in yourself  Undecided

The spam is getting real as I checked some threads and most of the users didn't even read the rules that Yahoo mentioned on 1st page. Can we somehow have a minimum of characters that we must use in order to stop the junk and mislead posts ?

I encourage users to PM Yahoo whenever they see someone abuse this campaign with spam/junk/short posts. Personally I cannot do more than 7-8 posts per day as I have work and a family to take care of so those who are not daily spammers ( more than 15 posts per day ) please don't become one now.
I have already started enforcing bans https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5188200.0 I will be adding users all night tonight. While there is a 20 post max per day cap, I would expect 90% of you to never hit that cap. If you look at the profiles of those already banned you'll see that most are being banned for spamming/burstposting and they obviously hit the max daily cap as well.

I spend 8-9 hours yesterday using my max cap of 20 post, today i get a warning about i cant made 20 post, boltz maybe only can made 7-8 post per day, but i have the time to write the 20, now im not sure if i can

By the way, i got paid for yesterday post if everyone have a doubt about payments.

It's not a story about the number of posts. You are warmed because of your post quality. For example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5090539.msg52571248#msg52571248
You write a few lines, but you did not tell anything, especially not related to Minexcoin in which ANN thread you post.
You activate after 12. July and make 20+ posts in a few hours. Some posts in just two minutes. It is a burstposting and you can't say anything constructive in that way.

You got paid 150 usd weekly from Bitsler signature campaign since June08 and the quality of your post leave to much to desire, only complaining about other campaigns users, complaining about bots,
talking about football, most of your post are only 2 lines, come on kid, get a life, you said i have nothing to tell but i just read all your september posts and are full of shitposting and nothing constructive,
only full of complainings, just live and let live, stop playing to be the spam busters police, you should be happy with your Bitsler weekly bonus, stop looking at others campaigns.

By the way, i just got a reply from yahoo "I would expect most users to do 6-10 posts per day but some days a few more might be ok."

So we have it, no more than 10 posts per day if you dont want to be banned.
No more 900 usd monthly campaign  Grin
