The new site makes this operation look really shady. I mean, the old one was bad, but this looks even worse.  Undecided

Also, the new contract pricing is pretty woeful. I don't think I'll be buying any new contracts.

Is it just me... or was anyone else expecting to see a "data center" when looking at these pics?  All I see is someone's spare room or even living room?   It doesn't really bother me too much as providing it doesn't burn down it will still produce the same hash output...   But, calling it a data center makes it seem like it is in a building designed for computers with racks, secure access (theft resistance?), fire suppressant systems, proper power backups, resilient internet connections, all humidity and climate controlled... you get the idea.
To me it just looks like a decent setup in someone's house, flat or apartment.  (I like the giant fans behind each wire rack!, were they turned on?  Or just there in case of air-con failure?)
yeah, not quire what I was expecting. A data center with carpeted floors?

I mean, if it works, it works. Also, pretty amazed by how little hardware there is. It makes sense based on our hash-rate and the hardware types, I just had a picture in my mind of them spanning a larger amount of space.

Not saying anything negative, just wasn't what I pictured.

Divedends received. 0.00066618 per "new" share.

I assume this was a baloon payment as we've all been locked to 100MH/s for a while now.  So I'd assume this would be the back pay of "bonuses"which would essentially be the effective hash rate should our shares be uncapped.

Can we please skip the ROI in terms of fiat or BTC debate?  It's been done a million times.  It's like religion.  Either you believe ROI in fiat is good or you don't.  You'll never convince anyone to change their mind.
Doesn't mean we can't berate each other about it until the end of time!

Back on topic, when's the next hardware rollout? And do we have any firm plans for pool migration?

I worked out the cumulative return 0.021531357 so far if you had from IPO.

Which means that we have paid back the dollar value of the bond.

at IPO BTC0.15 * $100 = $15

payout BTC0.021531357 * $810 = 17.44039917

We got a long way to go to cover the BTC however.
This is the right way to be looking at things for most of us, for those that started with USD we are past ROI.

I was overpaid but haven't received an email. It wasn't a huge amount but in the interest of being honest and fair I'm letting people know.
In the same boat here. Maybe the email was only sent out to those that were significantly overpaid, or possibly to those who would not be able to be pay-adjusted within the next dividend.

My guess would be the latter, for example I was only overpaid by about 30% which could easily be recovered by reducing my next payout slightly.

Would be nice to hear from LR what the whole plan is, though I'm assuming he's busy with everything that's been going on for the last few days. Smiley

I could at least put together a web app that can serve as a master share list and payment spreadsheet exporter that LabRat and grnbrg can use to prevent stuff like this happening in the future.

Could you code up a CEX.IO style set up or at least lead a team that can? CEX.IO desperately needs some competition and I think we have the resources and need to give it some..... lets turn a problem into an opportunity
I could put down the framework for share count management pretty easily, but it'd be a much greater amount of work to get that system up to share trading, and then significantly more to bring it to the level of polish that CEX.IO have. I imagine their development team is reasonably large.

I might take a look around and see if there's some existing framework I can build on top of, or at least find a system with everything already thought out, so I can use that as a model to create our own. Security and reliability would be my biggest worries if we were to try and get our own platform running.

Looks like I got overpaid by just a little.

Code:
Address: 1MFPrwMMPjefxjofNPAmrbuJCaQ7pyAAVb
0.000524306 per share
Paid: 0.08546188 BTC
Expt: 0.063965332 BTC
Payback: 0.021496548 BTC

I'll be paying these back to LRM, even if he decides to let people keep the dividends.

Do we have any idea if there's a share management / trading system in the works? If there's not, I could at least put together a web app that can serve as a master share list and payment spreadsheet exporter that LabRat and grnbrg can use to prevent stuff like this happening in the future.

Might be worth opening this up to New Zealand as well, possibly some people over there interested but unable to get the numbers for a group buy themselves. Probably wouldn't cost much extra to ship some over that way.

Re: Notroll emergency Guide - How to Withdraw your money If you are getting error
by
levi
on 03/05/2013, 03:31:48 UTC
I managed to come up with a similar solution and came to the forums to share my results and stumbled across this thread.

Here's how I did it:

  • Using Google Chrome, download TamperMonkey or get GreaseMonkey for Firefox.
  • Create and install a new userscript with the following code:

Code:
// ==UserScript==
// @name       Try NoTroll Withdraw every 10 seconds
// @namespace  http://bitcointalk.org/
// @version    1.0
// @description  Try NoTroll Withdraw every 10 seconds
// @match      https://notroll.in/*
// @copyright  2013 Levi
// ==/UserScript==

setTimeout(function(){ document.querySelector('#withdraw button').click(); }, 10000);

This will click the withdraw button once every 10 seconds automatically if you keep a window open on the main account page.

I left it running for about 10 minutes before it managed to widthdraw my 20LTC from the hot wallet.
