Unfortunately this project will have to open up in the traditional way for ASICs and others. That's ok, I'd rather see it live on than die.
Note to all, I'm going to adjust the PoW scheduling to react better with ASIC level hashing. It'll be more or less the same as it is now with less extreme difficulty adjustments. And... as with the 0.15.2, this next release will be a mandatory update. I'll keep the board well informed of the status.

No No NO! To ASICS...
Please don't do that.
That makes this coin no different from every other broken ASIC coin....please stick with the plan.
If people don't want to stay, fine, let them go, but enough people will stay to mine coin.
It only needs 2 people to actually keep coin alive, and from there it can grow steadily over time.
Please try and limit back to cpu only via wallet only...if you do, your coin will stand alone against a tide of sh*t coins...

Is the fact that it's hard to mine really a bad thing?
If the dev can somehow have it so it works via wallet mining etc only. I'm more than happy to put my time into mining this coin and having wallet open and could even host a node if needed if it's easy enough to set up a node for the wallet.

It's clear from reading though this thread that this coin isn't to be put on a exchange and traded. It's to be used in a real world case as is not back by it's value to BTC/ETH etc. From what i understand it will be implimented into forum boards so users can use it to spend for services etc and these prices would be decided by the community and has once the total supply has been hit then the supply to demand thase will start and you will get more 'service' for your BBS coin.
I could be totally wrong but this is how i see it.

Is there a precompiled GUI wallet? I'll use the CLI wallet for now and I don't want to compile stuff myself.
anything planned for this coin? a roadmap, even a temporary one would make this ANN much better.
otherwise it is a cryptonight coin, which I like.
and I enjoy it's basic idea as a lot of forums offer some kind of 'inforum' rewards or tokens yet they have no monetary value, this fixes it.
and a suggestion, try to simplify everything as much as possible because there could be significant adoption of this coin within non-crypto forum communities.
I think this is dead right. for anyone but a maven this coin is impossible. It needs a nice, virus killer friendly .QT wallet and simple ELI5 instructions to get novices going. anyway, zero balance is a personal matter. maybe something is missing with your setting. have you discuss and send your wallet address privately as dev's request?
Can take a while before payments show up. As long as you can see your H/s etc (like in pic below) you're fine
