A well decentralized Bitcoin can be a good hedge against hyper inflation. Afterall that's part of what the deflationary feature is meant to protect against.
I will however recommend holding long-term.

If a crypto project starts to getting centralized/opaque, I wouldn't recommend using it long-term as hedge.


I agree with you, but now it is quite difficult to find decentralized projects.
