Lightspeed development plans will continue as normal regardless of coin value, market manipulation, or sentiment. We cannot control what happens in the markets, only what happens in the core codebase.

@BTCEnigma1  LSD, instamined to fuck by a pool launched by dev who gets 5% fee of every block. Thanks for the explorer. What's next?

SCAMMERS.

KingBTC again.

http://lsd.bitops.me/

The development pool has a 1.5% fee, and there is no code that sends a % of POW coin creation to any developer address (or any address at all). Please point out the part of the code that concerns you.

http://blockexperts.com/lsd/height/150

That appears to be a payout to the same address and only happens when that address (I'm guessing a pool) mines a block. Without full information from pool owner, I'd suggest this is how their mining operation is set up.

As you can see from other blocks: http://blockexperts.com/lsd/height/12406 there is no 5% split to that address.

Block explorer now available: http://blockexperts.com/lsd

Sorry explorer took a while, wanted one with a rich list available so paid Block Experts for a nice looking explorer! There will also be one within the wallet.

The 'addnode' was provided to us by a commenter on this thread, you're welcome to check for yourselves. We are adding all nodes to ann that people are willing to provide to allow quicker syncing of wallets - I am not familiar with PoWcoin, unfortunately.

I will also be taking over sole communication on this account now, the developers were becoming stressed by the false accusations and I would like to avoid internet fights!

We contact CryptoAsian this weekend, too. Thanks for your support.

price is falling...hope dev didnt sold his coins!but i think he did!

dont let the scammer make money..safe ur btc guys

This was my answer to the scam accusations:

addnode 74.207.225.111 is the same as pow coin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=777188.0 that was posted 2 days ago!

so is this a catch or not?
and i have a proof anyway if the dev will change this or delete

I'm sorry to inform you but us having that node is not a proof that we are a "scam".
I don't know what's your background or if you even studied a bit about how cryptocurrencies work before you came and posted FUD on our thread but a node can be used for more than one coin, given that the two (or more coins) use different ports.

That node was posted on the thread because some people were having trouble connecting and we wanted to have as much nodes as possible to facilitate network connections, that's probably one of the nodes provided by the pool operators that work with us (that particular one must have worked with pow coin as well).

Why are we still talking about this. Where do you guys see the scam? Is it because some people are posting false accusations in big red letters ? Let's get over that and push this project forward please.

September development map #1.

Here is the rough skeleton outline of the upcoming releases. We're implementing what we believe are fundamental upgrades to make the wallet more user-friendly (particularly to the less computer-savvy) before revealing the details of Sept/Oct's developments, and our unique contributions.

Any questions please send. Looking for designers and additional C++ programmers to work with LS (core dev) for larger project, please send a PM. Any devs wanting to join our team must be willing to provide Proof Of Dev, which we will be filing shortly.

Thanks for mining Lightspeed.

I mined this coin starting before the first block halving. I was attracted to it because the OP looks interesting, it has an awesome ticker symbol (yes, I do think that counts!), and I reviewed the code and saw:

a) no pre-mine
b) not a total copy/paste job - no leftover references to other coin names
c) solid PoS plan
d) obscure algorithm that fascinates me
e) utterly fair launch - anyone who was paying attention to this thread had the chance to get in and mine from the start

I also like the PoW reward schedule. It rewards early miners, but with PoS increasing as PoW rewards decrease, it sets the stage for a promising development road ahead and gives latecomers a chance to earn coins despite having missed the bulk of the PoW reward period.

Beyond that, dev didn't push for exchanges (no indication he's doing this to dump and run), didn't hype a bunch of pointless stuff that no one cares about (didn't hype at all, actually), has been honest and transparent in private messages and in this thread, and is still here working on the coin and interacting with this thread.

Someone mentioned earlier that there aren't many coins on the exchanges. That's actually a good sign, it implies people are staking their coins, and those early adopters (miners) have reason to believe this isn't a coin to just dump as soon as there's a little bit of buy support.

One last thing which I talked about previously in this thread - another reason I jumped on this one is because it was quiet enough that I could actually contribute something, so I set up dedicated nodes and a pool and provided assistance to some of you with getting your wallet synced and miners up and running. This has been a fun experience, and I look forward to seeing where LSD goes in the coming weeks and months.
+

soo you are one of the dev team.....why should we trust you?

Grimly joined the development team to help with infrastructure. LS launched the coin alone, and now there are four of us. LS will be submitting proof of dev this week.

500k+ premine scam.

Hi, sorry to disappoint you but no premine in the coin. Feel free to review this for yourself via github: https://github.com/lightspeedcrypto/lightspeed/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L970

Lightspeed is opensource so our code is auditable by all. Early miners will also be able to back up this claim.

Thanks!

How is it possible for there to be 567k existing coins after a week of mining with no premine, 900k total coins and a 1 year pow period?
Check the supply amount now at 572k https://c-cex.com/?p=lsd-btc

We have a short reduction period in coin reward (as detailed in the announcement post thread). As time passes we transition to higher stake rewards as the PoW reward tends towards zero, finally reaching zero after a year when the coin will be fully PoS.

As PoW shrinks, PoS will begin to get larger.

when are we getting plans for the coin

Working on getting those released asap - we have finished the document and switched roles in the team, hopefully tonight, but maybe tomorrow if we have delays from our new designer!

would you consider a pod or having your code checked. ocminer is a good person to do it

We'll be submitting proof of dev, and code is open source so anyone is welcome to check it.

We need  trading Exchanges

not so much i dont think! we have many developments to come, exchange too early means people will sell undervalued..
