Estimates 15 CPDs wiht 10.0v but reality is much much less. I didnt want to wait longer but yesterday it was running for 9 hours and I got like 1 CPD on average.

CPU single-core AMD sempron 145 2,8 GHz, -ss 3, 3x 280x cards. With 9.1 everything works fine, I get ca 14 CPD.

Some problems with v10. With i5 CPU and 3 280x everything works fine, I get 16 CPD. But with AMD Sempron single core processor and 3 280x very few share only found. It estimates 15 CPD but reality is more like 1.5 with 10.0v. Same rig estimates and averages 14 CPD with 9.1, so I switched back to 9.1v.

How much 280x earns btc per day mining sync at the moment? Is there a calculator somewhere?

Any hopes to get something running in couple hours?

IP changes when you restart router without static? For me it usually runs for months straight.

With latest version and 14.4 drivers, it just locks up, freezes.
it was working good with 13.12 drivers and getting 3.9 cpd pre gpu.
what am i doing wrong?

Rollback driver and you're good?!

It's looking more and more like a GMP cpu problem.

@juve4v and @liifer what kind of CPUs do you have in those rigs that crash immediately?

EDIT: @LongAndShort i see now you have the exact same problem. And you said this rig has an i7 3820 right?

I have i5-2400 @ 3.10 GHz. This rig crashes.

I updated driver to 14.4 same error.

I have win7, 13.2 driver and I clocked both mem and core to 1000. 280x. Restart and still same error. I know newer driver should be installed but I got the same software setup on other rigs and it works fine.
Does it crash and stop mining? or shows only one error and keeps going?

It crashes.
Sometimes it has several rows of error: ProbablePrimeChainTestFast 0/4. Like 20 or so. On two other rigs I have pretty much all same except processors are Sempron 145 and this rig has i5. And I use this rig for gaming and stuff also, so maybe there is some kind of other issues.

I will try driver update later.
Actually there is something odd: GPU 2: sieve size = 550556388001 (7 bits)
This value is wrong and it's no wonder the miner crashes. I'm gonna have to investigate how this can happen...
It should be: GPU 2: sieve size = 55050240 (26 bits)

Isn't it required to use 14.3 or higher driver, he is using 13.2.

It is working on my other rigs with 13.2. And it shows 11.5 CPD for 3 card rig with 1080/1250. With cpuload="0".

Power consumption from wall.

I measured it on one of my rig, not new (old):
 - CPU: core2duo
 - Mem: DDR2 2Gb
 - PSU: Enermax 550W (old, even not bronze)
 - VGA: 2*XFX280X GPU/MEM:1030/1500 VCDD:1v

miner setting GPU 0/1:    -ss 1/2 -t default/8

Miner v2.0 375w
Miner v2.1 380w
Miner v3.0 405w
Miner v3.1b 410w
Miner v4.0 405w
Miner v5.0 400w
Miner v6.0 395w
Very ineresting, aistto.
Could you also measure some statistics for scrypt, scrypt-N, X11 and keccak.
If you can, of course.

I guess power consumption begins being very important for many miners...

You can tell by ypool past 48 hours connected workers graph that some people switch rigs of during day around US timezones. I guess people in GER, NED and such don't mine anymore because it can't be profitable unless you steal electricity.

It is already pointless to mine scrypt with GPU and lot of them switch to alternatives.

48 hours solo I dug 8+7 = 15block * 7,67xpm = 115XPM / 2day = 57XPM/day
24 hours on the Ypool I found 8 blocks received only 43XPM -- This is 42% less than it should be

Over the next 24 hours on Ypool I found 10 blocks and got 59XPM

Subtotal:
48 hours solo -  15 blocks 115XPM
48 hours Ypool- 18 blocks 102XPM -- This is 35% less than it should be

Less than what? How you calculate what it should be.

It seems that people still don't get probability.

Good example are my 3 GPUs. Now they have been running for 3 days straight and still there is twofold difference in average and estimated CPD. It mean that one card has earned me twice as much on ypool than other. It is tottally pointless to make conclusions after couple of days or even weeks.

What is everyone getting for the power consumption with these miners?

I'm getting about 30% less than Scrypt, about the same as X11 algo....

I got 2 rigs with three 280X cards, single core AMD Sempron 145 processor. 115k 4ch. Both 1000W Chieftec PSU. So, combined 6 cards take around 1200W, around 150W per card. It is half what scrypt uses and cards are way cooler.

I don't understand what is the problem with ypool. Stable and fair income - over period of two weeks I got pretty much as if I would have done this solo. First I got twice as much blocks but lately I get less. Either solo miners haven't heard about theory of probability or those punks feel extremely lucky. Are you trying to beat math? Try casino - with this luck you should be millionaire in 10 roulette spins. You type here, therefore you at least believe in gravity, don't you?

(nihuja bljat)
3 blocks in less than 24hours with one r9-290x (solo)
am I a lucky punk ?
The software says 2.5cpd in average which means 2.5+/-sqrt(2.5) (roughly) = between 0.9 and 4 cpd (95% CL, if I am not too wrong...might be less a 1 standard deviation)
what I got is in agreement with what basic probability would expect.

You type here, therefore you at least believe in gravity, don't you?

You need to explain me how gravity plays a role when you type on a keyboard... that could be funny
(I don't let my fingers fall on the key, I press them hence I apply a force... this is isn't gravity..., the key goes back into its initial position by the action of a spring... not by the action of gravity)

I know what you are thinking, did I get zero or three blocks last day. So, do you feel lucky, punk?! Do you, feel lucky?!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Xjr2hnOHiM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgz8Cn7x3lI

By gravity and typing I ment that if you don't believe in gravity then you pretty much get killed pretty fast because you fall of a building or something because gravity is there and will pull you to earth. Ouch! Other option is that there is actually no gravity. It mean that you would fly into space. Either way If you don't believe in gravity, you are not alive to type this message.

Can anybody mining with 290 (non-x) Tri-x share their 4ch rate ?
I get only 17xxxx which is similar to reference 290 card !
Tri-x should produce more, I have read someone is getting over 2xxxxx

I run with stock rate (no OC) i.e. Core 1000 & Memory 1300

Can someone mention better core/memory combination to reach above 200k 4ch ?

core 1025 or 1000, mem 1500
on a 7950 i get 119,353 currently with 1100/1500
make sure you're setting the miner at 4 cores and higher cpu usage

Thanks for the reply, but 7950 is different from 290 Tri-x
I don't think we need to increase memory for it, rather I get better result by decreasing it upto 1000 for scrypt or heavycoin mining.
Yes, core could be increased for sure. I was getting optimum result for heavycoin mining with 1100 core & 1000 memory but
when I use the same setting for this miner, it crashes after 15-30 min.

I am using
-Motherboard : Intel DZ87KLT-75K
-Processor : Intel Core i5 4660
-PSU : Cooler Master Silent Pro 1200 Gold
-RAM : Corsair Vengeance 8GB (Single Stick)
-3x GPU : Sapphire 290 Tri-x OC edition (2 directly attached to MB & 1 on USB powered riser)

Please post your 4ch result & core/memory setting to obtain that.
As I said earlier I get only 177k with stock rate (1000/1300) & not at all satisfied with it.

BTW with the above 3 cards my Processor is using 30-35% of the resources.

I think it crashes because you have two cards on board and when you overclock them,  they overheat or something.

I know that you stated in the read me that older cards are not supported, but it would be a niche if you can update the miner to be able to use HD6xxx/HD5xxx series cards. Other miners lack that and it would be an interesting challenge too, plus an advantage.

It would be a waste of time. These card dont break even anymore. Better work on cards that really earn something.
