why are dumping the price?

Oh, forget to say that you know why dev stand their ground so firmly? Cause every block they get "donations".

"Each chat message has a small TAC fee, all fees are paid back into the TAC economy by being destroyed in the genesis block."

Shocked  what about TAC now? we all waiting for the big boost of the price of TAC.

If the developers continue to work hard and have new releases, the price will eventually follow. Look at any other successful altcoin. In their early days, they were trading for 1-5% of what they are now. Talkcoin can and will be the same as long as the developers stand behind it. That's the difference between a good altcoin and a bad one. A bad one, the developer will cash out at the first sign of a 'dump' then abandon the coin. Thus the coin dies. A good altcoin, like Talkcoin, has developers stand behind the coin no matter the price.

Anyone holding Flappy? oh god lol  Lips sealed

Yup! Lost 1 BTC on Flappycoin.

But I made up with it with mining Talkcoin at the start and selling at 8k sat. Still holding a few though, actually an innovative coin so might have some future.

Only 39.6k TAC in sells on Bittrex vs 1+ million in buys... 1 BTC in buys would double the price.

Price is artificially low right now, won't last much longer! Glad I bought at 1300 sat. Can still get in for under 2000!

Here's some of the features to do next suggested by the community:

  • User channels with % of message fees go to the channel

That's awesome! I could see big channels raking in the TAC!

TalkCoin [TAC] is now on Europex : https://www.europex.eu/#!coin/btc/tac
Only 0.12% exchange fee
Only 0.00002 BTC fee for instant BTC withdraw
Full API secured with private key

I'll vouch for this exchange. Bought close to 20,000 TAC (it's so cheap... anything under 5000 sat is an absolute STEAL!), very fast and smooth, no problems!

Been using Dwarfpool for around 5 months now, since Memorycoin. While rarely there are delays on payments, they never lose shares and always fix any problems quickly!

Re: List of CPU-ONLY AltCoins

Has anyone calculated which hashing algorithm has the LEAST advantage from a GPU vs. CPU?

I'm always in search of the best coin to mine on all but 1 of my cores along with my GPU miner.

I got ~3 XPM in 1 week mining on RapidPrime with their optimized CPU miner with my i7-3770 @ 3.4 Ghz x 7 cores and am curious if I can do any better.

Try Memorycoin. The CPU yam miner gets me 13h/s with my 3770k OC, which is more hash than my 280x with the GPU miner.

As the dev of 365Coin. I don't know what kind of mystical powers you think I have, Take a look at the op. Coin was NOT premined I/we do not have a bunch of btc or a pile of coins laying around to pay for bounties... bribes... extortion.... fees etc.
A few people have stepped up and assisted in building a "fair" coin.

My job right now is to keep the coin running and fix bugs/update it etc. I will do so until me or the coin dies.

I have said before I am open to assistance, ideas etc I will continue to promote the coin within my powers. To date we have received 2 donations of 365 both from pmallek.
Faucet, any type of gambling site etc requires a fund of 365 to start up...

So if anybody wishes to actually help I am all ears as for every other post asking if their is news no there is not.
You know what we know!
When we have something to announce we will announce it. Till then either buck up or shut up and let 365 do what it was made to do roll low and slow and be the underdog until such time as people realize all these 50% pre-mined trash coins are just that TRASH!
I hate them you hate them everybody seems to want to say they hate them but guess what YOU STILL MINE THEM! and validate their existence.

At any rate I am still mining 365 and voting on mint. Still working on updating the wallet, expect another update within a week or so to patch KGW.

 -365Coin

Glad to see you are still active; that is great for the coin. I agree, there is only so much you can do as a dev of a 0% premine coin. However, continued communication, such as posts that you are still supporting the coin, will do wonders for buyers confidence.

Does this mean if I mine a coin, then it gets added to an exchange and skyrockets and I make a million bucks, I don't owe a cent because at the time of mining there was no value?

It's good to see them rushing laws that don't make sense to try and squeeze some profit out.

No. Losses and gains are covered.

Q: How is the fair market value of virtual currency determined?

A: For U.S. tax purposes, transactions using virtual currency must be reported in U.S. dollars. Therefore, taxpayers will be required to determine the fair market value of virtual currency in U.S. dollars as of the date of payment or receipt. If a virtual currency is listed on an exchange and the exchange rate is established by market supply and demand, the fair market value of the virtual currency is determined by converting the virtual currency into U.S. dollars (or into another real currency which in turn can be converted into U.S. dollars) at the exchange rate, in a reasonable manner that is consistently applied.

Q: Does a taxpayer have gain or loss upon an exchange of virtual currency for other property?

A: Yes. If the fair market value of property received in exchange for virtual currency exceeds the taxpayer's adjusted basis of the virtual currency, the taxpayer has taxable gain. The taxpayer has a loss if the fair market value of the property received is less than the adjusted basis of the virtual currency. See Publication 544, Sales and Other Dispositions of Assets, for information about the tax treatment of sales and exchanges, such as whether a loss is deductible.

Q: What type of gain or loss does a taxpayer realize on the sale or exchange of virtual currency?

A: The character of the gain or loss generally depends on whether the virtual currency is a capital asset in the hands of the taxpayer. A taxpayer generally realizes capital gain or loss on the sale or exchange of virtual currency that is a capital asset in the hands of the taxpayer. For example, stocks, bonds, and other investment property are generally capital assets. A taxpayer generally realizes ordinary gain or loss on the sale or exchange of virtual currency that is not a capital asset in the hands of the taxpayer. Inventory and other property held mainly for sale to customers in a trade or business are examples of property that is not a capital asset. See Publication 544 for more information about capital assets and the character of gain or loss.

pick up cudaminer for your Nvidia https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167229.0
will work much better than your CPU on any scrypt based coin

Also, look into Keccak algorithm coins (SHA-3), such as Maxcoin and 365coin, as it will consume around 60% of the power than scrypt coins, making them much more profitable.
